Yeah, your gpa or quartile in med school classes may need to be a bit higher depending on the specialty. Or one thing some people I know are doing is shadowing the specialty they know/think they want and getting in situations to know the department chair, residents, and nursing staff of that area. She is playing the long game for plastics but it sounds like a good idea to me
So I have a question and hope anyone answers if we applying by the end of our junior year what if a student moves the requirements to senior year like bio chemistry? What can be done?
Some schools will let you submit classes or even the MCAT after you submit your application. In most cases you would want to have your prerequisites done by the time you apply. It also would be tough to have taken the MCAT without having done biochemistry. However, Each school will specify when you need to have all the classes submitted by (:
No, there were a few people in my undergrad who got into med school with a music major. As long as you do the prereqs for med school (if the school still requires them) and you do well on the MCAT it is totally possible. Biology is nice because the major’s courses overlap with a ton of the MCAT subjects as well as school prerequisites.
The difference between Canada and USA four vs fuve year thing then how dies the extra year thing work then ? Aha I think that is a good idea for a video
Hello Doctor, for a moment I was watching your video about medicine, but literally I don't know what my passion is, and I had in my head just medicine. 😅Because I studied science in high school, I did not want to waste my years of study in the science major. What do you think? I literally have no passion. I hope for help.

Same process, an aspiring surgeon applies for general surgery residency after medical school.
Yea, after medical school you can apply to specific residencies/specialties

Do I have to study biology to study medicine? I'm not American so how do I do that? I hope you can answer.

You’ll have to take biology courses but doesn’t have to be your major
I hope to become a doctor one day. Could you make a video about working in places that are in genocide/war? I wanna go help people there.
