    Some points to be corrected:
2:26 It is the most limited program for the use of brushes i ever used, it is made exclusively for vector-based cartoons, for those cases it's a awesome tool.
You can even use it to do something in the anime style, but this example used from the Demon Slayer anime video is just a video imported into the program.
There are a series of effects worked there that would be difficult to do in this program. So, don't think that that scene was made using just that program.
11:04 Cacani does not work with the use of artificial intelligence, it is a calculation system as seen in other programs where you position point A and point B and the computer calculates the trajectory.
The point is that in Cacani it calculates each line made individually.
For example, a drawing is made using 10 lines, the second drawing will have 10 lines and a new position, so the computer will calculate the new position and shape of these 10 lines and create their trajectory. So it's not just draw anything and the program will be the ones inbetween with AI, it takes planning and organization.
Forte abraço Gilson, que loko te achar novamente. xD

@@AnimeXDchannel Pow obrigado mano!!

you should change "Anime" to "Animation" instead, as Toon Boom and Adobe Animate are mainly used for western cartoon. It isn't really popular in Anime production, they usually use these softwares :
Storyboard : Storyboard Pro/ any drawing software
Keyframe and Inbetween : Clip Studio Paint/ TV Paint/ OpenToonz
Compositing : After Effects and Adobe Premiere
    Background : Photoshop
3D(for base background or animation scenes with crazy camera movements) : Blender/ Maya

Here in Brazil I know some animators who make anime and use toom boom and adobe animator, they even use Retas Studio, which I intend to talk about in another video, and in the research I did to make this video, these are the best ones to do anime. But it is up to each person to choose what is most appropriate for their needs, as for after effects, it is more for post production, adding lighting effects, smoothing the line, and effects for blows or magic.

I have worked with Japanese studios.
The software used in MOST Japanese studios is RETAS studio PRO suite which is 4 different software in the same package. These are:
      1. Stylos HD (drawing key/inbetween)
      2. Traceman HD (for paper animators who scan drawings and convert them to vector lineart)
      3. Paintman HD (for color and shading)
      4. CoreRETAS (for compositing, effects and cameraworks). The thing is, before CoreRETAS was made serious and advanced plugins became available, Adobe After Effects was the main compositing software, but now CoreRETAS has become more popular because it is specialized for anime production and included in the same software package.
RETAS studio suite is made by CELSYS, the same company that makes Clip Studio Paint, but Clip Studio is a more single-user oriented software used for manga/digital artworks and not really used by anime studios for animation. Traceman HD has network working capabilities that allows many people to work on a project over a network and is optimized for anime studio workflow and allows for communication between the Clip Studio Paint does not have this features so it is better for solo animators who want to animate short clips or a short film. On big projects you need network capabilities.
After the compositing in CoreRETAS/After Effects, the final product is put in Premier Pro and synced with audio.
For any 3D work, the software used is 3D Studio Max but very rarely MAYA can be used.
      So more accurate list is
      Animation: RETAS studio
      Backgrounds: Adobe Photoshop/Clip Studio Paint
      Compositing: CoreRETAS/ After Effects
Final Assembly: Adobe Premiere (Rarely Final Cut Pro)
3D: 3-D Studio Max (rarely Maya)

@@AnimeXDchannel anime specifically refers to Japanese animation. as it is a Japanese word.
cartoons is american and usually drawn with simple shapes for fast production. they're also usually random shenanigans each episode instead of a continuing story.
american cartoons are terrible quality in art and story telling.
      aeni is south korean animation.
      donghua is chinese animation.
its not just how you say animation in each language the styles and quality they bring is so different they deserve to be called their own out of respect.

The most common for 2D is Clip Studio Paint EX, RETAS Studio, TVPaint, CACANi, OpenToonz, and then Moho. Anything else is so minor and use case specific. For 3D Maya, 3DS Max, Cinema 4D, and Blender are commonly used.

@Dave102693 For compositing yes. After Effects is the only standard in Japan nothing else is commonly used like it. I know some studios are experimenting with DaVinci Resolve but ot hasn't picked up mainstream use. I know Preimere is the standard editor as well without much competition either.

This is more of a list of animation software not really a list of software actually used in the anime industry. Just stick with RETAS, Opentoonz (which you showed but kept calling it toonz), tvpaint and clip studio paint. Toonboom is mainly used in the west.
