I love how Bob always emphasized that painting is for self joy and appreciation, and that money shouldn’t be the primary focus. Because painting is a passionate art form first and foremost. 🎨
Back in his first season when he was just starting out there was some music in the background, but I don't know if it was intentional or part of something unrelated going on off set. It's interesting to binge watch his seasons to see him find his way.
The setup, noises, his tone of voice, and the fact that there is no music in the back round, makes it so that you could easily fall asleep to this, and it all is very enjoyable. Rest In Peace, Bob.
Yes. Life is more fun if you make little sound affects to go with your actions. Who the hell cares what other ppl think? ? Like going up in an elevator you go "doodilly ooodilly oop!" or say Emmm umm ummn emm oom" as your voice goes up.
I love Bob Ross&his Paintings I hope to see them all someday I can't believe I have been painting for about 2 1\2 years now. I've bought many of Bob's books and videos I taught myself how to paint those seascapes landscapes & I am getting pretty good even if I say so myself!!!

The legendary Bob Ross-I have been his biggest fan since I’m a boy. Now I’m older than Bob when he passed and I love him just as much and perhaps even more today still!
I remember reading somewhere that Bob would paint the original and then make a second copy of it as reference and finally the one painted on his show. So he had a very clear idea of how to go about it fairly quickly. He’s good at mixing colors and knows how to work things. Plus his canvas, paints, brushes, and other accessories are laid out for the show which makes it wayyyy more convenient and faster. As a Pinter, I’ve learned that having everything set out makes the process so much smoother.
I just looked up how to make liquid clear and came across some comments on some art thread saying very negative things about Bob. Needless to say I'm quite angry with those people now.
These are so called „real artists” who spends hours on one painting they probably hate Bob for making simpler paintings in 30 minutes, they dont understand that Bob paints for us to show that everyone can do it. Yes, his technique is simpler than others. But who cares, who give these „artists” right to say what is art whats not ? I like mona lisa and Bob’s happy trees same way.

J Dough That other person is Ken Ham. Unless you're talking about his earlier videos, in which case that's advocating for a position, which everyone does. Even the commentors above me are doing essentially that. That's how the marketplace of ideas can exist in any meaningful sense.
I'm sorry but since when does having opinions make someone lose their integrity? He is still spreading scientific teachings and helping others learn, beyond his personal beliefs. Disagreeing with someone who is speaking on a public forum doesn't discredit them, it means your minds work differently.
J Dough Pardon me then, I guess I was wrong in that way. However, his opinions dont spread hate, like that hypothetical you gave me. I think most opinions that dont directly insult another group of people are generally. If someone came over and told me that they think the gay lifestyle is gross and makes them uncomfortable that perfectly fine, but thats entirely different from someone saying that the gay lifestyle is wrong and evil. Do you get what I'm trying to say?
