ETiMS...is heavy reliant on Internet connection...since it requires the new ETR machines to be relay information to KRA in real time..what happens to companies that may be too small to even afford not only the ETR machine but also afford Internet connectivity on a month on months..
If you can show me how the matatu conductor, the mama mboga or the kiosk down the road will give me an etims invoice and when i pay cash (what'll happen?). Nikielewa hiyo process nitaelewa etims na mimi ndani!
I have enjoyed the conversation. Definitely better than any other Session I've listened to. I understand what the gentleman is saying...from your session I now understand better what etims is. I still feel like he may be saying...those of us in informal tiny, small small enterprise have no one giving their etims experience to help us relate + on-board gladly. Having said that...thank you so much for providing a good foundation through this discussion
Not every Kenyan is required to have the eTIMS. If you are doing business as an individual or a business then its needed. Plaese also visit KRA's eTIMS website for more insights.
@@kemibaro Since only expenses captured through etims are the only ones tax deductible, then how do i capture the expenses paid to people without eTims. The KRA site is not explicit on this.

How do I treat the wage expenses on a farm? Do I require the workers to have ETiMS? This sounds impractical.
