Nahh.. as long as we can understand, I dont really mind.
It is actually true that it is harder for an adult to learn a new language. But if you force yourself to only speak that language and converse with native speakers daily youll learn faster. On average you can learn and be fluent in a language in 3 years if you put on effort. Youll hear accents and identify accents and nuances in 4 to 5 years.
That pretty much sum up how to learn a new language. It is very dependent on necessity and the environment you are in.
If you can converse in basics and can understand most of the words and you are living in a rather safe space with few native speakers as friends or that society dont demand you to learn the language to survive, you wont be fluent or be good in it regardless of the years.

1, learning a language as a adult is infinitely harder. When your a kid you have this ability to be able to learn a language extremely quickly and its a natural thing, thats why babies repeat your actions and what you say. Also, english is just a extremely stupid language. Theres so many backwords rules in english that do not make any sense. Its considered to be one of the hardest languages to learn for a good reason.
English isn't considered one of the hardest languages to learn. It's quite the opposite which is why it's used so commonly all around the world.
@@lalit8895 Actually it's widely used because of British colonisation, global reach and influence on the world as a crazy rich country. Nothing about the difficulty of the language. English's rules are pretty backwards to say the least. There are words that are spelled the same but are pronounced different like tear and tear, and words that are spelled different and pronounced the same like where and wear. Different letters put together can make different sounds like the ch in chemical sounding like a normal C and Channel making the "Ch'" sound as we describe it. If you want me to put down some more I have a WHOLE lot more.
It's the easiest language to learn for me. English is like, discovering so many cool words and adding it to my vocabulary. Learning grammar is difficult, but it's not impossible. And I started the same way we all did, mimicking the folks' speeches. Pewds, Jack, DanTDM, Mark and more.
In fact, I'm still learning English every day. Learning a language isn't an achievement, it's a process that spans across your lifetime.
I respect Gen for realising that.

Why are you guys saying learning a language as an adult is an obstacle? Come on General is living in the US, he needs to speak English in his daily life. Unless you are telling me he live in his own world, doesnt mingle with anyone at all other than his Korean speaking Korean friends.
Just let me give you an example, an Indian or Bangladeshi or Nepalese or etc who goes to work in Malaysia or Singapore. They have 0 English knowledge but after a year or so, they can speak a better English than General now.
So its either General is really poor in taking on English, or he simply just dont want to learn it. He just want to stay in his Korean circle in the US.
