    One thing I love about being Nordic is that even though our culture has pretty strongly been wiped out during centuries of religious conversion, we still hold on the little we have and try our best to save some information on our history to the next generations.

    • @munkhtsetseg9
      @munkhtsetseg9 3 года назад

      @@finnicpatriot6399 First time hearing this, interesting. Shamanism is the original belief of ours as Mongolians. the drum . . , this tells they have something to do with us, but how ? ? • @finnicpatriot6399
      @finnicpatriot6399 3 года назад +3

      @@munkhtsetseg9 Pre-Uralic people migrated from North-Eastern China's Liao Civilization to Central-Asia, where they formed the Kelteminar Culture. From there we moved further north to the Volga and became the "Proto-Uralic" people. From there we split. Ugrics moved east and Finno-Permians moved west and split into Finno-Volgaics and Permians. Finno-Volgaics kept moving west, eventually separating into Baltic Finns and Volga Finns. Finns are a sub-group of Baltic Finns.
      We also have many other words in common, including but not limited to Ilves for us and Irves for you. Taara/Torum for us and Tengger for you (both refer to the high Sky God). Ancient Finns also had a tribal meeting called Käräjät/Keräjät which comes from the word Ker(ätä), which means to gather. Khuraldai has the same meaning and origin.
      And about genetics: Finns are on average 20% Ancient North Eurasian and 5-10% North-Asian.

    • @munkhtsetseg9
      @munkhtsetseg9 3 года назад

      @@finnicpatriot6399 So epic, never heard those common words too. The history we know is starts from when Khamag Mongol (all mongolians state) stablished, maybe some knows more than me, and there are decendants in everywhere from Chinggis and his inheritors, during the warship. Mongolians of that age and mongolians in these days are different i guess. Always want to know who is the closest real mongol gene. We have asian look, but genetic study shows, our gene is brahicran type which found in europe mostly and it s still controversial. It was very informative, think i have to search about Finn more, thank you good Finnish .

      What? Finns and Sámi are from the same Finno-Ugric family. This is our shared culture. How are the Sámi any more similar to them than we are?
      The reason is that all Finno-Ugric people originally came from North-East Asia, the same place Native Americans crossed the ice into America from.

Most pre-christian tribes of finland thought of bears as their totem animal (hence the complicated relation between them and the animal, the ceremonies, 100s of euphemisms etc), because of the fact they can stand on both feet and after being skinned their body is similar to a human, some thought of it as a cardinal sin to hunt and eat a bear, since it would be the same as eating you ancestor, not all tribes though..
