One thing I love about being Nordic is that even though our culture has pretty strongly been wiped out during centuries of religious conversion, we still hold on the little we have and try our best to save some information on our history to the next generations.
Blessing to you both ,e enjoy so much your drumming .I live in Finland and i would like so much to get shamanic initiation ,to learn about the shamanism .Thats my dream.
We would love to have yall in Southwest United States to hear yall play these songs in our mountains. The mountain spirits here would love to hear drumming and singing as us Apaches love to do.
wonderful the throat technique in turkic we call it karagyrana (dark tempered) used for middle dunyad and lower dunyad travel. I have Persian, Turkic, and Mesopotamian ancestry and the shamans drum davul with beaters are used by the elderly shaman and medicine women and men in the villages. We can use really big ones or hand held ones with or without beaters.

But most ppl just pretent its normal and walk by with out even looking
This is intense! I've made a traditional native horse-skin shaman-drum together with a shaman-woman. Altough it's a 12/13 inch,it sounds amazing and is very healing! I just love it❣️
If this who I think is on the left then can I say it was a pleasure to meet you today Jakub and shake your hand in Lapland safari. Mark (Sorry if I have spelled your name wrong)
@Finnic Patriot First time hearing this, interesting. Shamanism is the original belief of ours as Mongolians. the drum . . , this tells they have something to do with us, but how ? ? The history must be long and interesting, also if Finn ugric people will have genetic test, that must be surprise i guess. Mongolian genetic topic is someting never finish surprising.
@Finnic Patriot So epic, never heard those common words too. The history we know is starts from when Khamag Mongol (all mongolians state) stablished, maybe some knows more than me, and there are decendants in everywhere from Chinggis and his inheritors, during the warship. Mongolians of that age and mongolians in these days are different i guess. Always want to know who is the closest real mongol gene. We have asian look, but genetic study shows, our gene is brahicran type which found in europe mostly and it s still controversial. It was very informative, think i have to search about Finn more, thank you good Finnish .
It sound a lot like the South Western Native American drumming too. I have a Native American drum and I struggle to hear a difference between these drums and mine.
"suurin" by Kati Ran is the only one I know. It's not an Ancient Finnish folk song or anything, but it's a modern song written from an ancient Finnish tablet, I believe.
@Finnic Patriot are you kidding me? Most pre-christian tribes of finland thought of bears as their totem animal (hence the complicated relation between them and the animal, the ceremonies, 100s of euphemisms etc), because of the fact they can stand on both feet and after being skinned their body is similar to a human, some thought of it as a cardinal sin to hunt and eat a bear, since it would be the same as eating you ancestor, not all tribes though..
@Finnic Patriot tbh i never knew there was a distinction between ”totem animal” and ”animal totem”, i now even googled both of them but only got the same answer meaning a spirit being/sacred object/symbol/guide/ancestor of a tribe, family or person, so this seems like a case of ”pot-uh-toe/pot-ay-doe”, but hey ima take your word on it since youre ”more knowledgable” 😂
@Finnic Patriot well i guess in this case then it would make more sense that the OP Yvette was talking about ”totem animals” and just got the words mixed up, being oblivious about the distinction, just like i did, i just usually call what you call ”animal totems” ”totem pole animals”, but its all good velisein
@@0mgskillz96 Every culture has animal totems every culture carves depictions of animals into wood. Not every culture has tall poles of animals and spirits stacked upon each other in a tall pole like North Western Inuits do. You’re right about totems he’s getting totem animal mixed with totem poles.

Voisitteko jakaa tämän saman videon normaalilla nopeudella, ei nopeutettuna versiona. Vai koitatteko jotenkin korostaa 'transsitilaa' nopeuttamalla rummutuskohtaa tällä videolla? Olisi paljon parempi jos kulkisi omalla ajallaan. Ihan vain näin palautteena. Muuten, kiitos videosta.
send this to anyone who thinks finns are "Aryan" or "European." Finns (same applies to Russian & Hungarians) have Turkic Altaic heritage. way more cultured & Beautiful than any European
Just dont practice magic with it, i was 18 and for 1 year i practied and i casted 3 spells, after that i became christian. Well my "shaman drum was not even a drum but it was "drumish" object enought to use as drum, i think it was a bucket yes but it still works as drum and with magic
