Out of the 100's of Scorchers I built in the early days, I was never asked to paint one 'box top', and seeing one that is, makes a nice change. Excellent video as always, sir.
I remember growing up in the 80's and going to the hobby company store just to drool, dream and wish that i would someday find it under the Christmas tree. Needless to say, it never happened☹️
+Matteo's RC Movies yeah I saw some of them it may just be me but it doesn't seem to have the same charm as the old days. Or maybe that's because the old ones remind me of the old days
Mateo, you make some of the best RC action movies around! I thoroughly enjoyed this on in particular. Keep them coming. I just re-started my RC hobby. Had not done anything RC for about 25 years. Just bought an Avante 2011 re release and watched you build yous on your channel THANKS!!
Thank you! I use a Carson 2700mAh Hump Pack battery. Specifically designed for the Tamiya Super Champ (Rough Rider) and Sand Scorcher etc using the sealed radio box.
Wow! Once again I'm mesmerized by the quality of your vids, someday I hope you wil share with yours fans a video of how you create this magic on your vids from start to finish, with another camera filming you making your magic. Your becoming an rc legend in my book, thanks again.
Such a well put together video that Sand Scorcher is cool. Really enjoy the 2WD action donuts and the turns with the rooster tail shooting up!! Just amazing. Well Done.✌
Pure Class!!! awesome video matteo...you just get better and better at this Tamiya would be so proud!! great great video, love the in car shots and the tune is great too...well done
Matteo, this is amazing video footage. Man I would love to see how you shoot this cameras used etc. Let me know if you have such a video. Very well done!
Your video's are the best rc videos! Just bought a 1987 clod!! Next wil be a sand scorcher or mayby a rally beetle? Idk yet... wich tamiya you suggest for off-road?
Dude! Your camera work is exceptional! I am wondering do you use a 'B' car with attached camera for the close ups and tracking shots or do you run slowly behind your Scorcher? And if I may ask, what camera did you use for the 'in car' shot?
+Names Demean Us Both Thanks for your compliments! I use a stick with the camera on it and run behind the car. For the onboard shot I used a GoPro Hero
Man, I might of commented before on this video but I don't get enough of it but the camera work is awesome awesome awesome!! I hope you make more videos like this. Take care buddy, bye.
This looks great! May I ask how you got that shot which begins at 0:27, where the Scorcher follows the camera? I´ve tried to do this with a rear-facing camera on another car but it always looks terrible : (
Man this was a great video even considering it is from 9 years ago. Back then it was brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching this old video! 👍😂

Can't believe I had one of these from the 80's and gave it away years ago!
+Sam Pochin Yes, this is sad, but it's the same with my cars I had in the 80's. Fortunately Tamiya offers the re-release!
+Matteo's RC Movies yeah I saw some of them it may just be me but it doesn't seem to have the same charm as the old days. Or maybe that's because the old ones remind me of the old days

Sand Footage always Looks amazing. But doesn't it destroy the Car?
Not so much, the gears are in a sealed box, the car is designed for this kind of use. 👍
Excellent loved it an excellent job of filming especially like the point of view from inside the driver's cabin

Watching your first sand scorcher video made me buy a sand scorcher. Tamiya should give you money.haha
Hi matteo, the car rear chamber adjustable?most of the time i notice that it has a positive rear chamber.
It's because the rear suspension have only one wishbone. It means the camber changes by moving suspension.
Excellent. I have this set awaiting assembly. Hope not too much damage to body after the 'rolls' !
Love this video! great job editing :)
+aphex4000 Thank you! Glad you like it!

nice work matteo, i enjoyed that ,
*A Lot* of Nice Scenes! Really impressive! :)
Hi Matteo, is this SS with stock motor and with or without differential?
It's with stock motor and without diff!
great job as usual!

You should paint a shocked look on the driver’s face. 😮
Superb stuff.
Retrocosm Thank you!
Hi, did you paint the body on this ? I have a sand scorcher and I'm looking for someone who has the skill to paint '79 box art can you help me? thanks
Yes, I paint it. But I can not help you, only with this tutorial video: ruclips.net/video/IvPBTXDzReU/видео.html
danke, ich habe noch etwas zu sagen. sehr gutes video:)
awesome vid mate.
Thanks bro!
Same 1.5 inch wheels and tires as the Grasshopper.
fantastic video. well done....
Tolles Video, ich hab jetzt auch einen. Und ich freu mich :D
Super! Freut mich, wünsch dir viel Spass mit ihm!
***** Da sind Kugellager drin
does the handling is good?
It's like an old vintage buggy it have. Not nearly like an actual RC, but it's great fun and more realistic driving.
are the rear tires compatible with the wild one?
Another brilliant vid! :) Many thanks.
That's a lovely front bumper by the way. Where did you purchase it? Or did you make it yourself? :)
Nice video but which type of battery fits this model? Cause I can´t find one, thanks
Sweet! Nice video man. That's my kind of action!
How many Sand Scorchers do you own? Also, do they have open or locked differential in your different videos?
+Stephen R I have only one Sand Scorcher, but two bodies (box art and yellow/ black) and the diff is locked, I like the better traction.
+Matteo's RC Movies thanks for your answer! BTW, what happened to the front-right wheel at 1:25? Broken steering arm?
Stephen R
No, nothing broken!
Ok :)
Best rc video on RUclips! ;-)
btw what is the music playing?
Thank you Gary!

Hey Matteo, do you know where I can still get this RC4WD front bumper?
Sorry, no. Maybe with luck you can find it on eBay...
