I like Adi but the amount of dead air while he just sits and thinks is not the best for unedited podcasts, ‘has my WiFi dropped out? No Adis just taking a dramatic pause’
He is also not originally a native American, who I feel like have very good conversational skills and small talk. He just really thinks about what he is about to say and kinda gets lost in thought but that's ok. Everyone is different.
Thank you so much for having him back on the podcast. It’s always such a pleasure and I learn so much. Also Nico is an excellent listener and interviewer. Nico, you’re so blessed to have such great friends around you. And that speaks to the quality of your own character 💜
If you liked this podcast, much of what Adi Shankar said, there are in a Patrick (H) Willems videos "Everything is content now" and "Who is killing cinema"
Guys, we miss the podcast. Please bring back the VFX related podcast.

I've been following Adi Shankar's work and is inspirational. But the is the best to see these two interact, They have great chemistry. I'll get a beer.
34:41 about giving the power to its creator in Japan is a good thing but there is also a bad thing happening to it, so right now, old Japanese film movies are perishing because of the stupid long copyright period in Japan. So currently if the creator died the copyright of it still remains for 70years, compare that to the US that can only goes up to 25 years (tho corpos are extended that so bad). And what I mean about this is because of those long period in Japan, there are some film storage companies that has been bankrupting right now and those films are getting lost because they dont know where the heck the copyrights holder is now, even if they're alive or deceased, that 70 years is too much for the community to save it. and worst is that Japan has some of the strict law for copyrights so no one can take their hands on it to save those old degrading films that needs restoration. I'd say you guys should talk about film restoration and many worlds film history is getting lost because of not being taken seriously, old films are world heritage and our only view to the past to be honest and barely anyone is taking it seriously, until it's gone
The original Castlevainia show is one of my favourite animations of all time. Nocturne not so much, just wondering if you have seen it what are your thoughts on it? Also Hollywood is failing right now because no one can just tell a good story, 90% of the writing is dog shite.
Ok, so, about the IP: I really love how Unreal engine monetizes their IP. I have no idea how to use that for any other IP, but in general, I think thats how it should go: Unless you make more than 1 million revenue of somebody elses IP...I think it should be free to use. If you make more than a million in revenue: You´ll probably be able to live off of it even if others use it too. Things to consider here though: 1. I think that rule should include that you´d need to WAIT til the owner of the IP is already making that amount of revenue...Otherwise its just gonna be stealing. 2. There are tons of edge cases, where not a single person owns an IP. I mean, just take Luke Skywalker...there is George Lucas, who came up with it, the writers writing the dialogue, the actor playing him, the concept artists and costume designers and prop makers to develop his look etc... But in general...I think thats where the future should take inspiration from...or, well, you know, maybe its just gonna naturally develop that way.
Ugh, this guy hangs on every word he says as if it’s the most novel and accurate take. This guy’s oozing with Hollywood ego, even though he paints himself as some counter elite insider
totally agree. When you listen to this with autotrim-silence in a podcast app it cuts the length of the episode this self-absorbed clown stars in in half. Don't really get what Nico sees in him.
Enjoyed this podcast, great hearing you guys share a similar Work Ethos and creative mindset as myself.. It might not always be the easy road, but it is the most rewarding one... and I still feel like a fraud when starting on a new project. LOL
Adi is great. He has a lot of cool experiences to talk about. Sadly his answers to questions are quite confusing. I think its just because he is so excited to share
This is my favourite podcast and I hope you continue! We don't need guests, or frills. We just wanna see some dudes and duttetes get to keep their guns if they were Canadian.
Please keep going with this podcast!! Don't give up.
Looking forward to more episodes :) We love the corridor cast! Really excited to see more episodes soon!
keep looking, they're gonna drop this one like the crew videos other than react
What happened to this podcast? Been checking back in practically every other day for a new ep 😢
Why no new episodes?
Are new episodes coming?
Any update on the future of the podcast would be appreciated!
Are there going to be more podcasts? I miss listening each week!
I second that - I miss this podcast! It's my favorite one
I like Adi but the amount of dead air while he just sits and thinks is not the best for unedited podcasts, ‘has my WiFi dropped out? No Adis just taking a dramatic pause’
I actually like it. It makes this genuine conversation feel even more genuine. I totally get how it could get annoying though
He is also not originally a native American, who I feel like have very good conversational skills and small talk. He just really thinks about what he is about to say and kinda gets lost in thought but that's ok. Everyone is different.
Rip cast bruh
I'm hanging out for new episodes too!

Niko's one of the nicest guys ever- he just got stuck with a lousy guest.
*Niko gazing at Adi* ❤
Finally a new corridor cast 😭🫡
You've cursed us
Everyday I repent for my sins.
Can't remember if they ever said anything about the podcast ending
man I just realized I miss corridor podcast so much dang

Oh maaaaan, please keep going with the pod. There has to be a way to get more eyes on it. 💚
Did this project get scrapped?
No mo podcast? 4 months?😢

on Mondays I like to get violently high and listen to Adi Shankar
Adi is almost single-handedly keeping Netflix alive for me
What are your favorite things of his on there? I haven't watched any of his stuff on Netflix
Rip corridor cast
100000% this about the tech ethos. The world will be a healthier place when it's ok for a business to sustain and NOT have to have unsustainable scale
dead?

I am so ready to get learnt

That might just be a part of getting into Hollywood. If you show weakness and uncertainty you'll probably not be taken very seriously.

Don't really get what Nico sees in him.
I'd say the die hard series movies are pretty different from each other for better and worse
Incredibly informative
DREDD 2 WHEN PLS
thanks for da pod

Everyone join me in a prayer for this podcast to return
It is hard for me to believe his remarks about Ubisoft when they are shitting the bed so badly with their current game releases.
