  • A review by #ProSpeedflying team ( prospeedflying) for the second generation of high-performance wings Rapidos by Ozone.
    This is the golden mean in the world of speedgliders.
    Advantages when compared to similar wings:
    - stability on inflation and running (doesn't dive forward, doesn't stall)
    - great lift power with rather slow speed
    - reactive to toggles (easily goes into barrels)
    - optimised for flying on C+B risers (nice reaction and does not flatter)
    - power swoop with long flight (efficiently goes out of dive on rea risers)

      @@ProSpeedflying did you ever add the soarding and speed riding segment?? I didn't see it

    • @ProSpeedflying
      @ProSpeedflying  Год назад +1

      @@sunnytheskoolie674 will add it with the new wings. Rapidos works very well for the strong wind soaring on a steep slopes. For speedriding, it is not the speedriding class wing. For easy riding and not very steep committed terrain it is more than enough. But. If you need something for agressive steep narrow turns without speed - better go with low aspect ratio wings.

      @@ProSpeedflying This is going to be my first speedwing, I weigh 66kgs without gear and have been flying 76sqft skydiving parachutes for the last decade. Is the 15m too big for me, I think it is going to be too big but that's what I just ordered.

    • @ProSpeedflying
      @ProSpeedflying  Год назад +1

      @@sunnytheskoolie674 hard to predict on the internet. Depends on who is teaching you and on which terrain. For 66 kilos with skydiving or paragliding experience and with good recommendations I usually use a 12-14 Fazer, 13 spitfire1-2, sometimes 13 rapidos, 14 dragonfly. After the course we decide which wing to buy as a first one. That's depends on the results of the course and locations where the pilot is going to fly next.

    Thanks for the review ! After owning a Niviuk zion 15 for four years, what do you think about changing it for a rapidos 15? My weight is 65 kg ! Is a crazy thing or big sized of rapidos could be just a little bit faster than the zion?
    Than you very much

      @@GioAreshMusic In my opinion glide will be not so different during the flat flight without turns. (11 will be more efficient wingloaded with your 75kilo)

    Thanks in advance!

    • @ProSpeedflying
      @ProSpeedflying  4 года назад +2

      Thanks for your feedback! For me I prefer rapidos or mirage for steep and agressive flying, swooping. Flame is more as a miniwing (something between rapidos and a miniwing).

      Okay I’m picking your brain here.
      Between Mirage RS 11 vs Rapidos 11 what would you say
      I know the mirage has a deeper recovery arc, I also prefer the lines on the Rapidos as they are more durable !
      Also I was noticing yesterday how big the cells are on the Rapidos vs the smaller cells on the mirage
      I think they are both great wings but can’t seem to decide between the 2 in the 11M size.
      With that being said i’m demoing a 11M flame this week just to further complicate things! Keep up the flying it looks beautiful in your part of the world.

      @@Explorationair Don't forget that 11 RS in reallity is 9.5-10 m2 (compare to Ozone and other main brands). For footlaunching I will grab rapidos. Rapidos have less dive but it use the energy and speed from it much more efficient. I wil go with mirage only if I want to combine riding and flying 50\50 but as you know there are no universal tools.

    Здравствуйте! Какой купол купить посоветуете для новичка? Катаю на горных лыжаж, есть опыт прыжков с парашютом. Охота чтобы универсальный купол был для зимы и лета, но с хорошей подъёмной силой, т.к. близко к земле страшно лететь

    • @ProSpeedflying

      Здравствуйте. Посоветовать крыло человеку без опыта спидфлаинга по интернету довольно сложно. Что вы подразумеваете под крылом для зимы и лета? Есть крылья для спидфлаинга (преимущественно полёты) и спидрайдинга (много работы на лыжах в контакте со склоном).

  • @user-bd4de6hv4p
    @user-bd4de6hv4p 4 года назад

    Хотелось бы спросить с чего лучше начинать обучению спидфлаингу, просто у нас в Башкортостане сейчас активно развит парапланеризм.То есть можно взять относительно недорого всю обучалку(метерология, аэродинамика, ТБ).А потом думаю брать уже направленные курсы по спидфлаю в других регионах.Как то так.Можете посоветовать по обучению, как вы обучались.Вообще, заметил что на канале не хватает обучающих видео.

    • @ProSpeedflying
      @ProSpeedflying  4 года назад +1

      Да, начать с параплана а после продолжить заниматься спидфлаингом - правильная стратегия. Я начинал с прыжков с парашютом. Есть свои плюсы и минусы но в общем равносильно.
      Насчет обучающих видео на канале - тут палка о двух концах. Можно принести таким видео пользу, а можно и вред. Обучение по ютубу - дело спорное.

    • @user-bd4de6hv4p
      @user-bd4de6hv4p 4 года назад

      @@ProSpeedflying спасибо, не обязательно делать конкретно обучающие видео.Можно всегда сделать инфо-памятки, чтобы люди не забывали о возможности появления ротора при обтекании ветра крупного предмета и тд.Это только будет способствовать безопасности, если приводить примеры летальных исходов у спортсменов и у людей, думающих что они спортсмены.Соответственно это еще дополнительный доход от рекламы школ
