Skipping with a baitcaster consistently
I took your beetle swin technique and put it to use. It down sizes from me using a 2x4, log chain, and meat hook. To put in English: 7 foot heavy rod, 50 lb test line, 3/4 ounce to ounce spinnerbait.
I don't have confidence in a spinnerbait even with manageable gear. But I'm hoping the beetleswim will help me with confidence. Joe in Kentucky
I feel like I am the king of getting impatient. Lol. One thing that has helped me is I will put my favorite podcast on my phone and just listen while I fish. It started accidentally, but it ended up relaxing me and I slowed down and started to get bites. So easy to get anxious when it should be super relaxing and enjoyable. Great lesson in this vid!
I know I tend to focus on the "I want to catch fish" aspect of fishing, which might not be the best thing, ironically. If I don't get bites, I can force things and not have the proper mindset. Fishing should be about relaxing and having fun. Funnily enough, that mentality often leads to more bites.

I need to get better with a spinnerbait and buzz bait. I have gotten bites but never landed the fish. I also had trouble with the flashy swimmer so I got the new 6th sense line through treble under spin. I highly recommend! They work the same as the line through head for paddle tails it just has the under spin attached. Add a bobber stop and a treble hook and you're ready to go! I slayed the bass today using it. I ended up landing 16 bass total! Fun for sure!

If I go to the big lake I catch fish easily, but on the river or on the Small lakes it is a hard grind 😨😅 i have to always remember these points in order to have any success at all. You guys keep on fishing 🎣😊

I try not to get frustrated but sometimes I still do. But I'll stop a take a few seconds to hit the reset button and keep fishing. I have to remind myself that if I'm not having fun fishing then I'm doing it wrong.
