Cliff Burton wrote the bass for this song, and he plays fingerstyle. Also everything Metallica put out up to this point is in E standard, this is no exception

@@ThwWumboligistMaster I'm not super knowledgeable about what every band's preferred style and tuning is and I'm sure there are a lot of people like me I could've looked it up but it just felt like it was something that should be in the video since most other Rocksmith vids include it in the thumbnail or show the screen that gives you that info at the very beginning of the video
