From Sneaker Pimps to Bone Thugs, I dig man, I dig it! Very cool video. I wouldn't have the ballz to color in those DC books.....and here is Batman Hush colored by Pope G.......never gunna happen. Did I say I love this video.....Gimmie Dat Cigar! Cheers!
@popegrimey7510 you're my brother pope! We were mtv generation..when we put on music videos in the late wee hours, we watched them all from Alice in chains to biggy smalls. Haha it's true brother and a marker would straight up bleed and ruin those hush pages Great to see ya brother and sending you fun Halloween vibes. Cheers to you, my brother!
David! I did a second part to this video and used used a picture of of you in it too. I show a Painkiller Jane Vampirella that you sent me yrs ago. Thank you for watching brother! That second part is going up next week..always a thrill to hear from one of the originals. I spoke to Fredeez recently 😊😊
A Mr. Riggs 👋🏼 was hoping for an upload from you! Jim Lee is one of the modern artist that I’ll collect I enjoy his X-Men work no doubt but I think some of my favorite panel work of his is done in Alpha Flight! That Warren Ellis Hellblazer looked amazing!! Constantine is one of the few “ super hero titles “ I’ll collect I love the Jaime Delano run as well as Glen Fabry/ Garth Ennis mash up but that single warren Ellis issue was absolutely in the vain of a Hellblazer story!!! It looked like his world so effortlessly it seemed! Very nice
@jacobbornowsky4013 hey, Jacob! Yes! Jamie DeLano is a great Vertigo writer. His work on Animal Man after Morrison left and on Swamp Thing after Moore was 1980s,1990s genius! Ahh the Ennis Dillon Dillon/Fabry Hellblazer stuff was so good! Awesome! I've never actually held a book of Jim Lee's Alpha Flight. I need to track some down. Ty for watching, my friend. Have a nice peaceful Sunday!
Good to see a fresh video from you. Always a fan of Jim Lee but some of his artwork was a little strange but I still enjoyed most his work. Love that Quesada 'Nam cover, been picking up some 'Nam comics the past few months again. I always tend to grab a few here and there and should get them catalogued soon before I end up with a bunch of multiples. Have been thinking about selling my Mickey Mantle cards, I think I have a few copies of that comic so I might offer a copy up with each card and keep one for myself. Jocks and comics don't really mix so people won't care if I add the comic. Kool-Aid samples could do damage to the comics sitting in storage for awhile, like the old bubble gum baseball card packs. Threw away a lot of cards from that dam bubble gum rotting away in the packs. Valentino is a creator I came to really enjoy early. Great video lots of great pics. Take care and hope to see another video soon!
My friend! Thank you for the terrific comment. Yes Jim Lee isn't always a master but what he lacks in consistency he does have some nice eras inside of his career It's nuts. For years those books of The Nam could be found in pretty grade in dollar bins but nowadays ppl want money for the later issues. Just for the reads ppl want them. I don't know if they've been collected in trade or omnibus yet Yes ppl will always want Mantle cards. The comics might sweeten the deal but yeah card collectors are a different breed usually haha Good to know someone else appreciates valentino. Have a great weekend pal.
@@MrRigamortis86 they happen to have new sheets of Mickey Mantle forever stamps at the post office today, so I picked up a sheet, another thing to add to the collection.
Rig always trashing Jim Lee's inks!! man i'd kill for some Jim Lee Deathblow style in 2024. Michael Golden's badass, my man Jorge Zaffino did some dope NAM covers too. is that Tom McWeeney of Roachmill fame?? great Teran stuff, i'm still undecided if i'm going to drink that Kool Aid. it's pretty tempting. thankd for thinking of me with that Hellblazer, us Teran collectors gotta look out for each other.
@BigLbo yeah brother. I think in-between or after going from indy to the deal w darkhorse McWeeney inked some for the big two I need to see those Zaffino Nams. Keeping it real Lee. You got it w the Teran. He also did some Alien and Terminator stuff for dark horse but it's kinda scarce. Will keep my eyes peeled.. Long is the kool-aid ain't hurting the book, I say let it ride Fuck tomorrow is LA comic con. I kinda wanna go.but it would mean either no sleep or missing work....ahh well
Great vid Rigs! It is crazy how good Jim Lee's work on Punisher was, imo he is the best Punisher artist. Even though I don't collect Xmen... always appreciated JL's work on those X books. That Mickey Mantle book does look good.... you are right those kind of books usually look like R&R comics lol. Good stuff as always my friend!
@PghZombie thank you. Yes I honestly always respected Lee but didn't realize how much I was into his work until I looked at my collection history for the past 30 yrs. Have a nice Sunday buddy. I have part 2 of that vid preloaded for next week :D
Nice Mantle comic. Thanks for the shoutout Rig, great music choice for my moment. Thats one of my favourite Bodom riffs.

@jujuht aww thank you very much! Happy that you liked it. :D :)
Good to see you back again doing video. Great cover art highlight on those covers. My favorite one was the X-men first Jim Lee on the mutants.
