    Ireland beat Wales twice in a week and yet in the 6n they didn't score a point against them until the 82nd minute and conceded 56 points against England. Ireland are a strange outfit to say the least

    Well done to Ireland though they played some good rugby and I wish them good luck at the W.C .
    What has happened to the once mighty Welsh scrum it is the worst I have seen ever .
    It was a game of two halves but the inexperience of the Wales players could be seen and they were very nervous but Ireland were much better .

    Interesting all the chat at the moment about Schmidt picking "foreigners" instead of native Irish men. I can remember when Stander and Aki were flavour of the month. Is Zebo a "foreigner"? Is this all because the team are misfiring? Is Rory Best Irish as he's an Ulsterman? Does it matter?

    Let's get this straight, Wales 1st team get absolutely thumped by an England 3rd team at Twickenham, their 1st team then narrowly (and extremely luckily) beat an England 2nd team in Cardiff thanks to a shocking call by the ref and then their 2nd team lose at home to an Irish 2nd team. If they don't win convincingly in Dublin next week, i'd say their teeing themselves up for an appalling time in Japan and I fucking hope so as well.

      i dont think it was england's 3rd team, it was more like a mix of 1st and 2nd players

    WOW, so Ireland are the No.1 team in the world now. I wonder if they'll hold that standing longer than Wales did. Ireland are now RWC favourites. Hmmmmmm!!!!!

      We (Ireland) are actually second in the world atm, a point off NZ. But i think this victory has put us back on track for the RWC. If we beat Wales again this Saturday, I think we'll go into the WC confident again in our abilities that we can potentially win it, or do well.

    • @extraoffload626
      @extraoffload626  5 лет назад +1

      @Peter v I completely agree. The reason I feel that were on are way to being back on track is that it was a much better performance by Ireland than a week ago. Are defence (in the first half) was way better, are attacking threat was more threatening. You saw NZ get hammered by Australia a couple months ago 47-24. And they responded really well with a dominant 36-0 drilling of AUZ a week later. That kind of response gives a team belief in themselves again. And I think that's what Ireland have done here.

    This was an auditioning welsh team and no reflection on the proper squad. Personally I feel Ireland lost more here than Wales as the second half with Parchell at the helm was a different story. Ireland had a lot of key players here and they struggled against a very inexperienced and weak welsh team.

      I hear a lot of Wales fans making this excuse when Ireland didn’t have a strong team on either, Wales had 14 changes Ireland had 9

    • @drskelter8230
      @drskelter8230 5 лет назад

      Ryan O'Hagan I think you’ve missed my point entirely and you’ve taken offence. I’m not making a fanboy comment I was just saying what I saw. I believe that had Rhys Patchell started things would very likely have been different. That was clear to see in the second half. I also think wales tried out more fringe players than Ireland. A win is always nice but from the welsh selection it was clearly second on the agenda.
