Evolve is an action video game with a focus on both co-operative, and competitive, multiplayer gameplay. The game adapts a '4v1' asymmetrical structure where four players take control of the Hunters, while the fifth player controls the Monster. The Hunters' main objective is to track and hunt the Monster in a limited amount of time, while the Monster's goal is to evolve and make themselves more powerful.
In the beginning of a match, a 30-second headstart is given to the Monster so that they can have enough time to escape before the Hunters parachute from a plane to where the Monster started. Each map features an open world environment for players to explore and play within. To help the Hunters navigate the environments quickly, they are equipped with jetpacks, allowing them to jump over obstacles and cliffs. The jetpack can also be used to dodge attacks performed by the monster, though it consumes a Hunter's energy. The team can track the monster, as well as place waypoints on an interactive map. The color of these waypoints are different based on what players have marked. The waypoint mark turns yellow for environment, orange for wildlife or red for the Monster.
The Monster needs to grow stronger in order to fight the Hunters by hunting and killing other local wildlife in order to gain experience points. When it gains enough experience, the Monster can evolve. Through evolution, the Monster's health bar is extended and refilled, and more abilities are available to the Monster, which makes it easier to kill the Hunters. However, the Monster is vulnerable during its evolution, and if caught by the hunters, the process is disrupted. The Monster can also enter a "stealth mode", allowing it to avoid detection by wildlife and Hunters.
Evolve features five different modes: Hunt, Nest, Rescue, Defend and Arena, which have different objectives for both the Hunters and the Monster. Evolve provides two different structures to these game modes: Quick Play, which starts a single playthrough match; and Evacuation, which serves as a five-match, multiplayer story mode. In Evacuation, each match gives the winning side an advantage in the next map, such as having a toxic gas the Monster is immune to, or autonomous gun turrets to assist the Hunters. The Evacuation mode ends with a 'Defend' match. Evolve also features an Observer Mode, allowing players to watch a match without playing in the match. The spectator can jump between cameras and view the match from both the Hunters' and the Monster's perspectives.
Normally, five players play in a standard round of Evolve, with four Hunters fighting one Monster. Playing with less than five players, including single player, is possible in all modes due to computer-controlled bots. These bots can control up to four of the characters, allowing between one and four human players in any game mode. Players can also switch to play as another class instantly in a single-player match.

Quick tip you can use the speed boost from the planetary scanner to dodge the monster and to increase survivability.
new smg has higher ROF, lower accuracy and cannot ADS, the new poon gun is just 20 meters shorter (25 now instead of 45 range) also does a buttload of damage overtime, new soundspikes cannot be sneaked around but have less range, many new sound effects, this character is a dream to use ^^

It would be easy to keep making monsters but hunters are currently a problem for creative purposes
for a new monster. how about a robot that was made to hunt other monster, but became aware that it was killing it's kind. it's abilities would involve sinkholes, mudslides, etc. and to travel around it goes partly underground :P

Funny how they didn't change the magazine on the main weapon. He's shooting lasers, but the magazine suggests bullets.

What I think heard is that they will release variants on hunters to see if people will continue playing this game. If people still play afther all 4 are done they will continue making new hunters and mosnters . . . is what I think I heard.

Been playing Evolve since Alpha, This game is honestly one of my most favourite games to ever come out, I just love the whole unique concept of it, Shame that the whole poor half of the community had to shit all over it, Because they couldn't offered it without their mummy's purse.

at first it seems op, but seeing that accuracy and shorter range harpoon, prety balance afterall,
I believe it says "holy spear". 聖なる means holy and '槍’ means spear.
it should be split evenly between sneaking and fighting. they should make sneakung hard to do but when its done be very effeftive and when the monster gets caught and domed then you HAVE to fight

seeing you with a controller playing a PC game, yeah it's more comfortable and easier but you can't press A, B, X and Y while moving your camera, well you can but it's really less precise, idk, is strange for me seeing controller in a shooter at these days doesn't happen to you guys?

Do you think that Evolve would have been even great if it was not feature 4v1 but 4v2 or 6v3, because somehow we seem need more commotion . I hope and would be thankful if Evolve developer will consider about this.
I think they should change some of the variants, especially the old ones because the thing with variants is that they are suppose to be side grades not up grades from the original characters, like for example electro griffin has very defined strengths and weaknesses but rough val in the other end is for most people just a straight upgrade from normal val, same with blitz marcov, and meteor goliath which barely changed.

yeah with goliath there is barely any difference, like at least change the abilities name.
+Displux it depends how you play them. if you spread your damage as meteor Goliath, he can do as much damage as regular Goliath

Mines Kala because those teleport pads have carried the team to victory like 50 times constantly teleporting in-front of the monsters path, When im Kala theres no need for any "Aggressive Chasing" because with teleport pads the monster just walks right to you.
