Give us a break and stop the claptrap. Igbo people left their homes for opportunities available in other parts of Nigeria, that they didn’t have and not to build any damn place. My parents left our tribe and home for Lagos. Some of us japa to climes so cold you’ll think your nose is about to fall off. Who wants to dig a car out from three inches of snow just to get to work? 🇹🇬🇹🇬this is what I'm saying since a couple of years that I'm trying to understand Nigeria. I noticed that igbos are very brilliant, pro-africans, pro-black, best in business, educated, united..and I asked myself why don't these guys develop southeast ?! I even wonder sometimes if the nigerian political elite that runs this country is not afraid of the igbos. I feel like some individuals in the northern elite are afraid of reprisals if the igbos come to power, because of what they did to them during the war. That’s why today namdi kanu is still locked up, look at the judges of the Supreme Court. It's like they will prefer to give power to a cat than to recognize the victory (rejected now) of an igbo in the presidential election, the yoruba could improve their condition but do not realize that they are used. Don’t you see the hypocrisy surrounding these questions? All these false pretences are useless, as a neutral person in the history of Nigeria.... The basis on which Nigeria operates, the constitution, is not even fair at the moment : so what more do you want to accomplish? Develop your region and be a model for Africa you have everything you need to get there. But obviously all this is just my opinion 🤷🏿‍♂️ (sorry english is not my language 😂 I'm not fluent yet)

      Warri
      Kaduna
      Aba
      Lagos

Immediately after the war a great blockade started in the east till now Port Harcourt and Benin see or air Port is not allowed to function like others in Abuja or Lagos. Benin don't have sea port Thou but warri do have.
Major military installations is still in kaduna and they re still building more, but the east was denied so many things
Till date but the people from the east are still striving till date
Keep d leadership aside let port Harcourt see and airport be working internationally

So shameful that a man of this status could talk this way.
Lagos had been the capital of Nigeria for years and most of developments you see today were done by the colonial masters before independence because majority of them were residing in the capital city, they laid the foundations for most infrastructures you see today in many capital cities of the country and made commerce to thrive, the Lebanese were not also left out, they were into textiles and also the Indians. All these make lagos particularly to be a bubbling Commercial city. Igbos did not develop anything, they just saw an already fertile land in most cities of the country and they too started their businesses. People still have sense of history in this country, please stop all these common but unfounded claim that igbos developed anywhere. You are falsely claiming you developed lagos but you cannot develop you own land why? Does this sound sensible?
You can only say this to fools.

The Igbo community is predominantly known for their involvement in trading rather than substantial investments in manufacturing. Interestingly, the two largest investors in Lagos are not Igbo but rather Hausas from Kano. Their combined investments surpass those made by Igbos. However, these individuals do not boast about their contributions to building Lagos. Many Yorubas and members of other tribes also have companies and investments in Lagos without making excessive claims about their role in creating the city. It's worth noting that the entire Igbo land is smaller in size compared to Oyo State, making it potentially easier to develop if the Igbo community directed their efforts towards its advancement instead of engaging in unproductive debates about assisting others in developing their own land. This highlights the importance of focusing on priorities effectively.
Many ibos came with nothing to Lagos but made something from Lagos. Hence its Lagos that made them not them making Lagos.

Were the Igbos forced to come to the cities he's claiming they have built or created? He should mention what these cities would not have if, the igbos were not living there?! This man has contradicted himself by saying that the igbos came to Lagos because of the infrastructures. He's confused. If igbos were not in the SW or Lagos. These cities would have been built by the indigenous people, and wealth would not have been spread faster to the igbos but would be localized. Igbos elders should be careful and control their tongues. That is how these elders taught their children that Lagos is no man's land.

It is hard to belief though. Will an igbo man leave all his investment in Lagos to rot without ROI and relocate? If they sell their investments, it would be at a loss... WHAT WE SHOULD BE TALKING ABOUT IS THAT NIGERIANS BUILT NIGERIA. However, I was talking in the context of attributing the CREATION of Lagos to the Igbos or refusing to accept that Lagos is built by NIGERIANS. However, we should still respect the indigenous people of that land. No Egun, Awori, Egba, Benin, Ijebus, ijaws...etc who are the indigenous people though of the Yoruba extraction. The narrative of a superior tribe and rubbing off of others' faces will not help the unity of Nigeria.

It is hypocritical to think Nigeria first before thinking ethnic group unless we expect to excise the ethnic group from Nigeria. There is nothing wrong with ethnicity. It is a fact of life. What is wrong is the way we manage the pride we have in our mosaic of ethnic groups. Wiping out ethnicity is like denying our ancestry.

Other tribe cities flourish because they are not parochial, but are welcoming to other tribes including the Igbo, to prosper in their land. But Igbo will not welcome you in their land, not to talk of allowing you to flourish. Igbo are reaping what they sowed in Nigeria. Sow love, humility, and reap love with affection from others. Moreover, if you're claiming to have developed other cities, why did you abandon your own city, and nobody from other tribes migrate to settle in your cities? The answer is, no one could come because of your hostility to other tribes. 13:09

These were educated, westernised, highly skilled individuals. Lagos' historical record is intact. cylinders as if they are better than Ibos in any shape or form? Yet the same Ibos have the best cities in Nigeria today outside of federally -funded places like Abuja and Lagos.
Those dissing the Ibos forgot that Ibo cities were reduced to ruins in 1970 by Egyptian pilots flying Russian Mig and Ilyushin fighter jets destroying cities with no air defence systems.
Nigeria refused to rebuild Ibo cities they destroyed, but today whose cities look like war zones? Certainly not Ibo ones, so everyone should just chill. Nwodo et al know what to do but
would not do it: motivate Ibos to divest elsewhere and return home to create their own "federal territory" on the banks of Azumini Blue River or keep ranting about badly overcrowded Lagos.

Ibo always plays a victim card.

    Peaceful coexisting with other tribes?

Let me try to address you better. In your big cities in your southwest when you count 10 buildings at least 2-3 are owned or associated to Igbo. Likewise small and major businesses.
I am a bolt driver in PH and I owned 3 plots of land in PH. Instinctively an Igbo man sees the area where he makes his money as his home before looking at his place of origin.
I believe that is defined as the act of love to our country.
Me talking to you I still live at my father's house in the village whenever I go back home.
Lastly my purchase of that property +/- has added to the economic status of the community, LGA, and state respectively.
When the man talks I thoroughly understand where we are getting it wrongly.

No India is claiming UK as no man's land. If you want to claim land in UK, you need to become a citizen. Otherwise, citizen without land has a saying more than India with land ownership in uk.
