Valley of Screams and Kyogoku are concepts prevalent in the first Bleach movie - Memories of Nobody. The manga semi-canonised the movie and I'm glad the anime didnt cut this out no matter how small its contribution to the war is.
The fact that they made a base not for protection, but to invite the enemy to: "Come, we are waiting here, come and get us!". Also the whole Valley of Screams and Kyogoku are a reference to Bleach Movie 1, here Ichigo said "I have been to valley of screams." was a reference to first Bleach movie, which i assume they made it canon now instead of rest of the movies which are fillers.

You’re exactly right about Yhwach. He has now absorbed the soul king which is why the tremors that threatened the worlds earlier have stopped. He is effectively a soul king 2.0 but with a very different agenda. As for Ukitake, by this point in the manga he is sadly dead since Yhwach absorbed the right arm of the soul king when it attempted to stop him so by ripping it out of his body, Ukitake’s life was taken with it as well Here in the anime Ukitake is still seen clinging on but based on where we’re heading, not for long sadly
I am just eager to see Shunsui, Uryu and Aizen fighting at full power! Uryu is joking atm, where is the guy that could one shot a bankai in his first appearance? Why would someone like that be afraid of a bankai 🤣 Where are Isshin and Ryuken? Do Grimmjow and Nelliel have Segundo Etapa?
We're almost reaching the end of the Arc, and yet Ichigo only use Bankai 3 times in part 1 until now, compared to Arrancar Saga when he always spammed it in every fight.
Just want to ask, have you guys watched the Bleach films yet, Brian and Stephanie? I mean, they are not canon, but still worth to check out. Especially the fourth film, which depicts Hell in Bleach universe.
