Cavaille-Coll organs are just astounding. You are very lucky to play one of the best instruments in the world! Another monumental organ is the 1703 Werner organ in Arnstadt, Germany because Bach played it as his first job at age 18.
Maestro Marshall, you have always been one of my favorite organists. I am in awe of your talent, your improvisational skills, and how you know how to draw out the colors of any piece you perform. You have a very supple technique, and your articulations are brilliant, and your phrasing is captivating. I absolutely enjoyed this performance. It made my day. Thak you for sharing your prodigious gift with all of us.
Wayne, where did this come from, a random organist improvising at St Sulpice Paris? I will never lose you man. Your brilliance is beyond belief. I thank you.
Astounding improvisation on this incredible organ... ps: amazing how you stayed focused on your music while Maestro Roth was talking... Ps2: i little tought of Jean Guillou who played this organ and also has a video of an improvised performance
Splendide improvisation. Certains organistes français devraient en prendre de la graine, il y en a marre des impo ultra dissonantes au goût du jour qui cassent les oreilles des auditeurs.
That is really an amazing piece! Is it something that you've played around with before, or did you just play whatever was in your mind at the time? And you probably need to have it transcribed onto paper if you already haven't done so. haha If i could play the organ that well, I would want to learn it.
I always love seeing Daniel Roth's face as he scrutinises players' performances. A living legend.
Yes indeed, but I think he was quite impressed with Wayne.
Magical. Two masters at work. Inspirational!!! Thank you for sharing this very special experience!
Just wonderful stuff. Organist-improvisers are true artists.
Bravo Bravissimo, Maestros!!!
Absolutely beautiful!
Wonderful to see and hear Wayne. It is also good to see that Maestro Roth is so agile.

Musical architecture! 🎇
Oh how it would live to see/hear an improv concert at Cologne Cathedral!

Phenomenal!!! Wow. And a bit Howells-y at the end :)
Great thanks! I was waiting for the improvisation part of the Sulpice visit 😊

He's one of the greats, definitely. He should be remembered up there with Virgil Fox.
Good Lord, that sounds like a Symphony. I hadn't realized how much multi-tasking is involved in playing Orgel. Brilliant!
This auditory is pronouncing and reminiscent of an interlude of encounters of a mysterious nature... Very much enjoyed your vision of improvisation...
spectacular

Brilliant! Up there with all the Freanch boys who are astonishing at this genre!
Such a great improvisation! It is so cute to see Daniel Roth add registration and the camera almost fell. Wahahahhaa.
I don't think,it's cute at all that Roth is interfering
WOW! My first visit to your channel but definitely not the last!

My thoughts exactly. Roth wants to be the centre of attention
No he doesn't lol. He's just interested
Fantastic!
The best👍
U win ,sir ! U are a monster! Anyone that can go on about Messian like that knows the genils and the madness.

Wow, that's a great improvisation! It sounds so french. Congrats! :)
I really enjoyed this, Wayne! When are we going to hear you (on RUclips) sometime, back at The Bridgewater Hall? Best wishes - and stay safe!
This Organ&Daniel Roth are great ... 😛
Genius
A massive organ with a multitude of stops to play with. Wayne is making good sounds with this selection. Is rge other gentleman the resident otganist?
Yes, it is Daniel Roth.
Very difficult to improvise in this situation, I understand.

In 9:07 attaca...Macron disconnet current electric and connnect...Wayne ask what is this...and greit CODA! and final sprint. 🤣
Haha.

Did Wayne ever have ambitions for the "job"? I was hoping... Logically it turned out differently... too bad - but good...
a kdo si to ma vsechno zapamatovat?
That wasn’t improvising that was just pressing notes to me.
Call’it as you want, this is not music. Guilmant would have an heart attack hearing this thing.
Ha ha ha...in 9:07 cezura and grand finale.😂😂
Try a melody....too much noise without structure....
