The work is in progress! Let's take a look at what Mountune are doing to my Ford Focus RS to reinforce the engine ahead of the extra power that's coming. Not only that, but I also took their development car out for a little spin for an early taster of what it offers and what mine will be like!
Love it! But I still think you should do some red paint or wrap on the carbon hood. It's a bit too much, if you ask me, in full carbon. Needs to be toned down a bit. Leave the vents in carbon, and a wide racing stripe down the middle in carbon, then paint/wrap the rest in color matched red with maybe a dark gray pinstripe between the red and carbon bits?
I'm certainly considering options and maybe even doing a Topaz Skin to just make the side bits of it red - should be possible to do that in the not too distant future.

He most likely gets information of camera from the guys there, being able to name a parts doesn't mean he actually "knows" car. I do get what you are saying though, Tim seems to be at least able to tell the difference between a supercharger and a turbo

@@Magezzz Common nomenclature uses the term super before hyper. Call it a super hatch maybe. I drive a 400hp tuned Golf R. It's a hot hatch. It doesn't deserve super or hyper in the name.
Doesn't the crackles and bangs get a bit annoying, while cruising around urban areas? On your red car, will you have the option of a quieter/louder (open/closed) exhaust?

Muhammad Ali Khan nah. Wouldn’t be worth it. £6000 plus. The maintenance needed for it would be a lot. Plus I don’t think it’s wise to drive on it except from track use. That’s just me though
Love seeing this. I obviously have a hyundia sonata 2.0l turbo. That I have alittle over 400whp on stock motor internals. It's making 30psi with a stuffed turbo, open dump external wastegate mod, 625ml shot of vp m1 methanol, fully bolt ons, large fmic 2.5" piping with synapse bov, 3inch turbo back exhaust. Serously surprised what a sonata is capable of making, and how quick it really is and cars its has beat including a audi rs7 sportback coupe. Anyway thanks for posting these types of videos and cheers from just south west of toronto Canada
Wish I could.post some pics of my build on it. I bought it little over a year ago. And have built the hole car from bbk, suspension, aero, performance and some interior. All work and fabrication I have done 100percent myself. Hopefully next time I will no your in toronto and will come show the car and let you try it.
I believe a lot of people is still waiting for you to turn your focus rs bonnet red instead of expose carbon fiber since it does not fit the red really well. Perhaps you can do it with topaz skin.

Yes, genuinely could be interesting! Don't forget that the Heritage has the FPM375 package so it's already more than stock, but that would be really interesting to see
Would love the bigger turbo on my RS. Even my simple Accessport, Intake, exhaust and BoV turns it into an animal. Can just imagine what that will be like!!

This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but I'd love for the Focus and GT to have gold wheels to complete the Alan Mann livery. I really like a story behind a livery!

Thats way to many pops and bangs for my taste. I think a car should only be that loud above 5k rpm. That would get so old so fast. Everything else is cool though have fun Tim!

The one problem I see with the focus motors is the open deck I mean the siamese bores help but without a block guard it cant go much more over 500 without block upgrades
What was done to reinforce the cylinders themselves? Hopefully at least they've been sleeved. It's rather disappointing that Ford left it an open deck block
For 400bhp , a 10 percent increase will not really require new pistons ,Rods, Turbos .. You can do it with a chip upgrade . It is not really overstressing the engine as Audi get 400 out of 2.5 liters in a standard road car .( RS3) 500bhp really what you need the goodies for though !! Enjoy !! It will be a bit peaky for road use tho !!
I'm surprised the stock conrods are not forged also, only not as beefy and without machining operations to eliminate stress points developing of the mod ones.

Looks great nice very cool. But yes as you said putting that much HP, the gear box, clutch, drive shafts etc etc just are not designed to have that much HP put through them! Hence the life of the components will be massively shortened! To the point the power might start mangling drive shafts, clutch's, gear boxes etc have seen it many times! As is standard everything needs beefing up cant just stick a bigger engine in a car without upgrading everything else! As long as he does all that car will be superb if he doesn't might just be a regulary broken bag bits and shards of metal.

Remember when you race the Focus RS at Nuremberg that this car does not have areo downforce like some of your other cars. You will need to drive accordingly to be safe. Cheers.

If you disable Sport mode, that stops happening to anything like the same extent

You should look into Darton Sleeves if wanting to push it to 500+hp and is a good idea since the rods are out of it.

I understand the mods are neccessary for the 500hp but that's a lot of money to spend for an increase of 150hp over standard.
Tim's the type of guy to be driving a 500hp focus and feed the wheel through his hands like he's doing his driving test
