      Its a good bike but i'm not really like the meter. Its easy to read if your speed less than 120kmj. More than that speed i'm struggle to read😪. Need a proper size perhaps..

      I honestly didn't like the seating position and handling of the first gen Tracer900. I found the handlebars to be to close to me which resulted in a strange seating position for me. Handling wise every turn I took I got the tipping over sensation which I didn't like, could have been the tires could have been the chassis.
      I hope this generation is better. Because I really do like the concept of this kind of bike.

      Well Yamaha also makes guitars, synthesizers and also made the exhaust system for the Lexus LFA by employing their sound engineers to do it which is probably why it's regarded as the best sounding car ever. This seems to be the case here as well.

      @foreverinvaliduser Yes I'm well aware of all that. I wish they collaborated more often with car manufacturers like Porsche to make already nice sounding cars sound better. The LFA gives me goosebumps everytime I see one. Timeless design and my god that sound is an eargasm.

    I have riden more than 100 motorcycles and can honestly say that if you want a motorcycle that can be driven HARD while also beeing comfortable to ride LONG distances and you want to do this as 2 people with luggage...THIS is the bike to buy. The engine response is so well engineered that it is hard to find a comparison. Going on the throttle from off-throttle is buttery smooth. And 3rd gear pulls hard from 35kmh without vibration or jerkiness which makes riding slow hairpin corners a super pleasant activity. The low-down torque is addictive, top end PULLS like a supersport. This is basically a supersport bike, with touring seating position, and a GS-like comfort... You can forget the Multistradas, VFRs, Hayabusas, Blackbirds, Tigers, Vstroms...if you do not want to ride offroad...THIS is the bike to have. Try it at some rental to understand. It is not just about the 'specs'. It is how well it works as a package...❤❤❤

    I am very happy to see Yamaha refined the Tracer into the great bike it is today.
    I had the firstmodel, incredible engine but the suspensions were terrible. I sold it for a first model Superduke GT, I loved it but it was tall and not as comfortable as I'd like. Also I didn't like the electronics.
    Finally I bought a 2021 S1000 XR with lowered suspensions (I too don't like long suspensions, Schaaf), put on some Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4, and oh boy it is a match made in heaven.

    Drove one for a day; Throttle response felt off for me in low to mid rpm’s, sort of a disconnect between input and output. High rpm the engine was a blast. Low rpm it tends to have a on/off respons. Quickshifter was great, even at low rpm, could downshift into first without any problems. Seating position was a bit cramped, my leg started to hurt at the end of the day. Windscreen was awful.

    @Schaaf, cheers for another great video, you always give sincere and down to Earth opinions on the bikes you test. You also have excellent riding skills and it's a pleasure to watch your videos. Let me just ask you 2 things, it seems you give a little gas before reaching full lean, yeah? Maybe i'm too lazy on the throttle because i only get back on it like a second after reaching full lean. And did you notice any of the famous instability when riding the Tracer at high speeds? Regards from Portugal, Armando.

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  Год назад +2

      The Tracer indeed tends to get nervous at high speeds but it's absolutely manageable. Regarding your throttle question: I'm not sure, I don't really do any of that consciously. My riding happens more or less automatically. The most important thing is just to be somewhat smooth with both throttle and brake when in big lean.

    I own the predecessor (TDM900) and when I tested the T9 I found the ergonomics a bit awkward, like the upper body was on one bike and the legs on another. Just me?

      They are from two different categories. The BMW is a feelgood-showingoff bike that doesn't even try to be something else. The Tiger 900 is an actual adventure bike made for traveling. I wouldn't like to travel far on the BMW. Especially not with that horrible seat.
