Black Canyon 100k - 2/10/24

This was my second time running the Black Canyon 100k. This race starts in the hills of Mayer, AZ and finishes just north of Phoenix in New River, AZ at the southern terminus of the historic Black Canyon Trail. The scenery varies from high desert grasslands, scrub oak, prickly pear fields, and saguaro forests, with several crossings of the Agua Fria River along the way and the Bradshaw Mountains towering over the landscape. This race has grown from humble beginnings to become arguably the premier trail race in Arizona, and is even a part of the newly formed World Trail Majors!
