This is for industrial usage. I’m pretty sure that this has a far superior level of sensitivity is far superior to thermals especially because most handheld imagers as there is little space for any sort of cooling device.
This is great for detecting leaks on pipe which has zoning around them, seems like we can do this away from the zone, impressive!
Will this identify small irrigation leaks 12in below ground?
It will not. The FLIR Si2 is designed specifically for air and gas leak, mechanical fault, and partial discharge detection.
Can the camera be calibrate d to search for any kind of sound?
No the camera will only pick up sounds within a certain frequency range.
