On October 15, 2014, Pepperdine University held its third Technology and Learning Faculty Conference. In this presentation, Drs. Linda Polin and Paul Sparks (Graduate School of Education and Psychology) will share reflections from a 2013 IT Grant for Faculty. Inspired by maker spaces and design thinking, this presentation explores improving computational thinking skills by having students build applications and interactive objects. Student products and technology management challenges will be reported as well as provisional assessment ideas.
