@Dark Shadows Yes, they are. 3 of them have been on the polices radar while the 4th has completely dropped doing anything illegal. However their punishments were too small compared to what they' done. The one who got the "worst" prison sentence only got 17 years.
@Dark Shadows most of them were under 18 and were part of Yakuza (japanese mafia) so they spent little time in junviel jail and they changed their names after getting out. Someone few years ago leaked the current name of one of them and it turned out he has a family and children and living normally.

Junko Furuta rejected it. Hiroshi Miyano was the bully of the school ond no one dared to object, but Furuta said no. On November 25th, 1988, she was abducted by 4 teenage boys, one of whomm was Hiroshi Miyano. The boys took Junko Furuta to the house owned by the parents of one of the kidnappers in the Ayase neighbourhood of Adachi, Tokyo. The kidnappers forced Junko Furuta to call her parents and tell them she would run awy and stay with a friend. Unable to understand what was coming and very frightened, Junko did exactly as she was told, thus preventing the first attempts to find her. Nobuharu Minato's parents, in whose house Junko was kept, visited their son on several occasions. However, under threat of escalating violence against her, Junko was forced to claim that she was the girlfriend of one of the boys. However, evan when it became clear that she was being held hostage at home, the parents did nothing for fear of revenge by Hiroshi Miyano. During the 44 days after her abduction, Junko Furuta was forced to endure untold suffering: • humiliated by beind kept nã!£d most of the time • was rap£d everyday . It is believed that more than 100 men rap£d her, counting 500 rap£s. At one point, she was ab¿&ed by 12 different men within a day. After 30 days, Junko couldn't urinate properly due to damaged to internal organs and vulva from the introduction of foreign objects and burns from cigarettes and lighters. Her hands and feet were badly injured and it took her more than an hour to crawl downstairs to the bathroom. Her eardrums were also damaged and her brain was reduced. During the 44 days when she was repeatedly tortured, beaten and raped, Junko begged her captors several times to simply kill her and finish her. Instead, on January 4th, 1989, they challenged her to Mahjong diamond game. She won and this angered the boys, so they beat her with iron barbells and burned her body parts. Already severly beaten, dehydrated and malnourished, Junko Furuta passed awaythe next day. The killers put the body of the dead girl in a cauldron filled with concrete and threw it in Koto, Tokyo. EXPLANATION: For anyone who wants to know the case of "44 DAYS IN HELL" refers to the case of junko furuta. She was a 16 year old girl who was tortured in ways nobody could ever imagine and was later killed and stuffed in a concrete barrell. This all happened because she rejected her classmate, who had connections to a mafia gang. The guy didn't like that she rejected him so he and 3 of his friends kidnapped her, r@ped her, and tortured her brutally. Junko had gotten a chance to call the police but one of the boys found her and told the police that she was crazy and that nothing had happened. Later on the police has gotten a call from one of the boys anonynously saying junko is with them and to come and take her because he started feeling guilty of what he had done but when the police arrived the boys told them nothing is there and the police didn't even bother going in to check. If they had gone in, they could have saved junko. They had put a DVD of her favorite TV show in with her because she wanted to watch it for a long time before she was tortured but they didn't let her watch it but unfortunately she died before she could watch it and they didn't want her ghost to haunt them because of that so they put the DVD in with her. She was a very nice and sweet girl. There was a boy Hiroshi Miyano who liked her. He was the class bully He went to Junko with her proposal but Junko denied this proposal upfront. Hiroshi could not take this rejection from her which made him furious and he decided to take revenge on her. On November 25, 1988, as 17 year old Junko was returning home from her part-time job on her bike, a random boy passed by her and made her fall. Miyano went to her as though helping her. But then in no time and before Junko realized what was happening, Miyano along with his three friends kidnapped Junko. They took Junko to a house in Adachi, Tokyo which was owned by one of the kidnapper’s parents. The parents knew this was happening but they took no actions because they were scared, as one of the kidnapper's were in close contact with a Japanese Mafia group. When she was kidnapped, her parents were worried and started a search for her so the boys made Junko call her parents thrice and say that she ran away, she was safe and that would be staying with some of her friends for a while. Furuta was raped every single day, multiple times a day. she was r@ped by other Yakuza members as well as the four kidnappers. When the Yazuka members were invited, she was forced to M@sturb@t#, eat live cockroaches and drink her urine as an entertainment for those men. Overall, she was r@ped more than 900 times. After 30 days, Junko Furuta could not urinate properly due to damage to internal organs and vulva from the insertion of foreign objects and burns from cigarettes and lighters. Her hands and feet were damaged severely, and it took her over an hour to crawl downstairs to the bathroom. Her eardrums were also damaged, and her brain size was reduced. She was also force-fed large amounts of alcohols,milk and water, so that she had to use the washroom more often, they enjoyed watching her crawl downstairs to the washroom in so much pain. Once she was so intensively hurt it took her over an hour to reach downstairs. Sometimes when she was forced to drink large amounts of water, they didn't let her go the washroom, but made her drink her own urine. While she was only one quarter through her ordeal, owing to ongoing beatings, Junko Furuta could not breathe through her nose due to the accumulation of blood in her cavities. Her traumatized internal organs refused to accept food and water, so when she tried to drink, she instantly vomited, which kept her more dehydrated. It also agitated the perpetrators, who punished her with more beating for soiling the carpet. They forced her to dance to Music naked. They used needles to drill a series of holes in her body. The cruel boys even burnt her genitals, clitoris and eyelids with a lighter. One of her nipples was twisted with pliers. With so many injuries all over his body, Junko couldn’t even stand from the pain. She had to crawl downstairs to use the bathroom. Two weeks in, Furuta managed to call the cops, but before she was able to say anything, the boys discovered her. When the police called back, Miyano assured them that the prior call had been a mistake. As punishment for violating the rules, her captors soaked her with lighter fluid and set her on fire - twice. Despite having a seizure, she lived through the attack, but would not live through a third burning, which was as a punishment for winning in a game they forced her to play (when she won in the game, they not only set her body on fire but beat her brutally with iron weights, they covered her hands in plastic as blood and pus was coming out immensely from them and threw a large iron ball on her stomach). She died after four hours of this happening, finally. Hiroshi Miyano was sentenced to seventeen years, Shinji Minato was sentenced to five years, Jo Ogura served eight years, and Yasushi Watanabe served five years. By now, each of them has been released from jail. They changed their names and are living their lives happily and freely. And if you're wondering what they did to her body, they threw her body in a drum and filled It with concrete, for two months the body remained in the drum until it was found And the guy who proposed her and planned all this, Hiroshi, put a tape on the drum with the title of an anime Manga, this Manga was Junko(the girl)'s favorite show and she was waiting eagerly for the last episode but cud never watch it, and he wrote the name on the drum not because be liked her but because he wanted her soul to not haunt him... Also, when all this happened her birthday was only a few days away. When she died, a memorial was held for her by her school, all girls cried, all her friends cried, her entire school cried, her mom recieved a mental shock, she couldn't show her face, and her dad was in pain too far for words to describe, he couldn't stop crying either. They remembered this intelligent, young, modest,brave,kind girl who never liked dating or drinking or partying. Furata's tortures don't even end at her death. When the four boys were sentenced to jail, one of the boy's mothers was furious on Furata and so she destroyed Furats's grave, because according to her, Furata ruined her son's life. This girl will never be forgotten, she deserved a life and these monsters took that away from her. For those who don’t know: one day a bully asked furuta at school to be a couple, but she said no. Later that day she went home with her bike and then the boy with 3 other boys yelled at her to come. They made her come and when she came, she was kidnapped by them. She was tortured (fire cracks in her v*gina, cuts, freezing, burning, and more) she was forced to drink her own urine and eat cockroaches rather then a normal meal and water. She was also r@ped for days. Eventually when they were done they killed her and burned her head. Then they put her in a tube and threw her out of the window. The case is called 44 days of hell because this all was in 44 days. After the case the dudes were having a light punishment but they did so many crimes.

When I was around 3, I was raped by someone I trusted. It went on for about four more years. It feels like it really fucked me up and made me vulnerable to abuse, even though I'm emotionally and mentally quite strong most of the time. As I grew, I've heard and read a lot of stories of rape and violence. It used to shock me. This case too was one I came across and it shocked me. But gradually I've honestly grown numb to the shock because humans don't surprise me anymore. I just wish it didn't happen to anyone. There were times when I felt invalidated but also felt like I was extremely lucky to not also be physically hurt this badly and got a chance to experience life. Even though there were times I was suicidal and life really feels horrible, at times I have people I'm grateful to get a chance to meet and be with. Rape and sexual violence have become so common around us that only the worst cases shock us and make us think for even a while because this culture of violence has been normalized. Every time there are self-defense classes against sexual violence they say, "say no", scream, and fight back, but the cases like these make us so scared to do so.

But he didn't take no as an answer. As Junko is about to go home from her part time job to see the final episode of her favorite show, she was kidnapped by the four boys and took her to another boy's home. After a while, they had beaten her so badly that they didn't find her attractive anymore, so they used the same plan they had before to rape another 19-year-old.[2] They hung her to the ceiling fan by her wrists and used her as a human punching bag, naked. They would force her to masturbate and dance naked in front of "guests". They shoved objects such as a lit match, metal pole, knives and wood up her vagina and anus. On 4 January, 1989, after a defeat in mahjong, Minato and the boys were angry so they beat and burned her for two hours. Furuta would go into shock and died the next day. Minato's brother phoned him to tell them of her death so they rushed to the house. They put Furuta's body in a 55-gallon oil drum and filled it with concrete. They dumped the drum at a construction site in Kōtō.[6] After being questioned about the rape of the 19-year-old, Hiroshi got confused, and thought they were talking about Furuta. He thought that the other boys had told police about her so he told police about what happened to Furuta and told them where her body was. They had to identify her by fingerprints because her face was so badly beaten. The autopsy also revealed that she was pregnant. Also, when all this happened her birthday was only a few days away. When she died, a memorial was held for her by her school, all girls cried, all her friends cried, her entire school cried, her mom recieved a mental shock, she couldn't show her face, and her dad was in pain too far for words to describe, he couldn't stop crying either. They remembered this intelligent, young, modest,brave,kind girl who never liked dating or drinking or partying. Furata's tortures don't even end at her death. When the four boys were sentenced to jail, one of the boy's mothers was furious on Furata and so she destroyed Furats's grave, because according to her, Furata ruined her son's life. I literally had a night terror the same night I heard about Junko's case. It makes me sick that these people are still alive and living their life as if they didn't commit deplorable, inhumane, vile, acts. Absolutely sick. The sad thing about this, is that a police officer came to check the apartment on the 11th(?) day of the torture. At the doorway one of the boys assured the officer that everything was fine, and the officer left without checking the apartment. If he would've, Junko would've likely survived.

@Dark Shadows Yes, they are. 3 of them have been on the polices radar while the 4th has completely dropped doing anything illegal. However their punishments were too small compared to what they' done. The one who got the "worst" prison sentence only got 17 years.

((I’m not sure which is the correct version as many people have been responding differently))Junko refused and he had rounded up his buddies, kidnapped her, tortured her and did so many other worse things to her. This went on for 44 days before it ended. She was so strong, RIP 🕊️🕊️

Junko Furuta was very popular in her school, this was because she enjoyed a lot of attention. Which made some oeaple jealous . She did not take any drugs, smoke or drink alcohol, which was seen as very unpleasant in eyes of many gangster-like teenagers. One of them was in love with her, but did not seek a relationship. Junko Furuta rejected it. Hiroshi Miyano was the bully of the school ond no one dared to object, but Furuta said no.
On November 25th, 1988, she was abducted by 4 teenage boys, one of whomm was Hiroshi Miyano. The boys took Junko Furuta to the house owned by the parents of one of the kidnappers in the Ayase neighbourhood of Adachi, Tokyo.
The kidnappers forced Junko Furuta to call her parents and tell them she would run awy and stay with a friend. Unable to understand what was coming and very frightened, Junko did exactly as she was told, thus preventing the first attempts to find her.
Nobuharu Minato's parents, in whose house Junko was kept, visited their son on several occasions. However, under threat of escalating violence against her, Junko was forced to claim that she was the girlfriend of one of the boys. However, evan when it became clear that she was being held hostage at home, the parents did nothing for fear of revenge by Hiroshi Miyano.
During the 44 days after her abduction, Junko Furuta was forced to endure untold suffering:
• humiliated by beind kept nã!£d most of the time
• was rap£d everyday . It is believed that more than 100 men rap£d her, counting 500 rap£s. At one point, she was ab¿&ed by 12 different men within a day. Physical b£at!ňgs included h!t+!ṅg with golf clubs and sl@mm?ŋg the face on the cement floor.
• to pr○v#ke her rapists, she was forced to m@$turb@t€ in front of them and the 'guests'.
• had many objects forcefully inserted into the v@g!ń@ and @ńu$, including a bottle, an iron rod, scissores, etc
• There were confusing foods that included more water and milk.
• they had removed her left n!qp/€with pliers
• Kept in the fridge for several hours
• there were signs of burns in the intimate areas as well.
And these are just some of her tortures. At one point, when they were resting after drinking, she tried to call the police, but was caught and punished by burning her legs. Severe leg burns and badly bruised muscles left her unable to walk for days. Ever since it was winter, she was forced to sleep on a balcony, exposed to cold temperatures.
After 30 days, Junko couldn't urinate properly due to damaged to internal organs and vulva from the introduction of foreign objects and burns from cigarettes and lighters. Her hands and feet were badly injured and it took her more than an hour to crawl downstairs to the bathroom. Her eardrums were also damaged and her brain was reduced.
During the 44 days when she was repeatedly tortured, beaten and raped, Junko begged her captors several times to simply kill her and finish her. Instead, on January 4th, 1989, they challenged her to Mahjong diamond game. She won and this angered the boys, so they beat her with iron barbells and burned her body parts. Already severly beaten, dehydrated and malnourished, Junko Furuta passed awaythe next day.
The killers put the body of the dead girl in a cauldron filled with concrete and threw it in Koto, Tokyo.

EXPLANATION:
For anyone who wants to know the case of "44 DAYS IN HELL" refers to the case of junko furuta.
She was a 16 year old girl who was tortured in ways nobody could ever imagine and was later killed and stuffed in a concrete barrell. This all happened because she rejected her classmate, who had connections to a mafia gang. The guy didn't like that she rejected him so he and 3 of his friends kidnapped her, r@ped her, and tortured her brutally. Junko had gotten a chance to call the police but one of the boys found her and told the police that she was crazy and that nothing had happened. Later on the police has gotten a call from one of the boys anonynously saying junko is with them and to come and take her because he started feeling guilty of what he had done but when the police arrived the boys told them nothing is there and the police didn't even bother going in to check. If they had gone in, they could have saved junko. They had put a DVD of her favorite TV show in with her because she wanted to watch it for a long time before she was tortured but they didn't let her watch it but unfortunately she died before she could watch it and they didn't want her ghost to haunt them because of that so they put the DVD in with her. She was a very nice and sweet girl.
One of the boys' mother later went on to junko's grave and destroyed her grave and blamed junko for ruining her son's life( like what is wrong is people)

The Japanese girl, Furuta was cheerful, studious, kind and she never went drinking or partying. She was admired in her school.
She was very beautiful. There was a boy Hiroshi Miyano who liked her. He was the class bully
He went to Junko with her proposal but Junko denied this proposal upfront. Hiroshi could not take this rejection from her which made him furious and he decided to take revenge on her.
On November 25, 1988, as 17 year old Junko was returning home from her part-time job on her bike, a random boy passed by her and made her fall. Miyano went to her as though helping her. But then in no time and before Junko realized what was happening, Miyano along with his three friends kidnapped Junko.
They took Junko to a house in Adachi, Tokyo which was owned by one of the kidnapper’s parents. The parents knew this was happening but they took no actions because they were scared, as one of the kidnapper's were in close contact with a Japanese Mafia group. When she was kidnapped, her parents were worried and started a search for her so the boys made Junko call her parents thrice and say that she ran away, she was safe and that would be staying with some of her friends for a while.
Furuta was raped every single day, multiple times a day. she was r@ped by other Yakuza members as well as the four kidnappers. When the Yazuka members were invited, she was forced to M@sturb@t#, eat live cockroaches and drink her urine as an entertainment for those men. Overall, she was r@ped more than 900 times.
They also invited a gang of over 100 men each day to r@pe her and urinated on her. Only one man seeing her condition felt disturbed, so he called the police, the police came but the parents who lived below refused any girl being in the house. And the police didn't care searching further.
She was s@xually assaulted in other ways too, including being anally r@ped with a bottle and fireworks, and having a still lit light bulb inserted into her vagina which would blast inside her vagina. They would also insert metal rods inside her privates.After 11 days of torture, she could feel nothing but pain, her brain only knew one thing : pain
About her sleeping place, they forced her to sleep on a balcony wearing rags and remember when this happened it was winter, so they did this in hope of suffering her in the cold
The torture was very inhumane. They burned her with cigarettes and candle wax all over her body, had her hands and nails smashed by weights, beat her with sticks and clubs, and stomped on her. The men hung Furuta from the ceiling and used her as a punching bag until her damaged internal organs made blood run from her mouth. Whenever they got bored of her, they would lock her in the freezer, for hours and take her out again when they wanted to torture her. She was like a toy to them. They even flexed to their male friends about having a woman to themselves.
After 30 days, Junko Furuta could not urinate properly due to damage to internal organs and vulva from the insertion of foreign objects and burns from cigarettes and lighters. Her hands and feet were damaged severely, and it took her over an hour to crawl downstairs to the bathroom. Her eardrums were also damaged, and her brain size was reduced. She was also force-fed large amounts of alcohols,milk and water, so that she had to use the washroom more often, they enjoyed watching her crawl downstairs to the washroom in so much pain. Once she was so intensively hurt it took her over an hour to reach downstairs. Sometimes when she was forced to drink large amounts of water, they didn't let her go the washroom, but made her drink her own urine.
While she was only one quarter through her ordeal, owing to ongoing beatings, Junko Furuta could not breathe through her nose due to the accumulation of blood in her cavities. Her traumatized internal organs refused to accept food and water, so when she tried to drink, she instantly vomited, which kept her more dehydrated. It also agitated the perpetrators, who punished her with more beating for soiling the carpet. They forced her to dance to Music naked. They used needles to drill a series of holes in her body. The cruel boys even burnt her genitals, clitoris and eyelids with a lighter. One of her nipples was twisted with pliers. With so many injuries all over his body, Junko couldn’t even stand from the pain. She had to crawl downstairs to use the bathroom.
Two weeks in, Furuta managed to call the cops, but before she was able to say anything, the boys discovered her. When the police called back, Miyano assured them that the prior call had been a mistake. As punishment for violating the rules, her captors soaked her with lighter fluid and set her on fire - twice. Despite having a seizure, she lived through the attack, but would not live through a third burning, which was as a punishment for winning in a game they forced her to play (when she won in the game, they not only set her body on fire but beat her brutally with iron weights, they covered her hands in plastic as blood and pus was coming out immensely from them and threw a large iron ball on her stomach). She died after four hours of this happening, finally.
Hiroshi Miyano was sentenced to seventeen years, Shinji Minato was sentenced to five years, Jo Ogura served eight years, and Yasushi Watanabe served five years. By now, each of them has been released from jail. They changed their names and are living their lives happily and freely.
And if you're wondering what they did to her body, they threw her body in a drum and filled It with concrete, for two months the body remained in the drum until it was found
And the guy who proposed her and planned all this, Hiroshi, put a tape on the drum with the title of an anime Manga, this Manga was Junko(the girl)'s favorite show and she was waiting eagerly for the last episode but cud never watch it, and he wrote the name on the drum not because be liked her but because he wanted her soul to not haunt him...
Also, when all this happened her birthday was only a few days away.
When she died, a memorial was held for her by her school, all girls cried, all her friends cried, her entire school cried, her mom recieved a mental shock, she couldn't show her face, and her dad was in pain too far for words to describe, he couldn't stop crying either. They remembered this intelligent, young, modest,brave,kind girl who never liked dating or drinking or partying.
Furata's tortures don't even end at her death. When the four boys were sentenced to jail, one of the boy's mothers was furious on Furata and so she destroyed Furats's grave, because according to her, Furata ruined her son's life.
And the worst part remains, one of the kidnapper is actually married and has a young daughter. I am afraid for the girl's life. I bet the woman was forced to marry him

And the fact that she withstood all that for 44 days!! She was only 17, She was only a kid, She was only a girl.
One of the worst part is that over 100 men were involved in this, the male friends of the kidnappers' knew, the yazuka members knew, yet not one of them found the heart to help this girl out.
First, Junko had the courage to reject a guy who was friends with the most dangerous mafia group in Japan.
Second, she was so strong that even death failed to reach her, it took over a month.
Third, Our girl Junko alone in her brutalized state beat the boys, she died because she WON in the game while they lost. Remember her as a FIGHTER and SURVIVOR and not as a victim.

It messed with me too. Years ago after reading all about this case, I physically felt sick like vomiting. What happened with Junko was beyond terrible. I hate this case so much, so here's your explanation (even tho im pretty sure everyone already knows it).
Junko Furata, a Japanese girl rejected a boy with a polite "no" when he confessed to her, and this boys friends were somehow in connection with the mafia or something, and the 4 kidnapped, r@ped and tortured Junko for saying no. The entire event happened for 44 days. When the police came to check, all the boys assured the police there was nothing wrong, and even without checking...the police left. Its cruel to think that if the police looked through the house junko could have survived. As well as that, their parents all did not do anything, and never contacted the authorities. The boys threatened to k*ll and drown her entire family if she tried to escape. She was gang-r@ped for 44 days until she died in their basement. Its so shitty and brutal to know that these boys are now living freely and independently. Its so upsetting to realise that one "yes" would have changed everything.

For those who don’t know: one day a bully asked furuta at school to be a couple, but she said no. Later that day she went home with her bike and then the boy with 3 other boys yelled at her to come. They made her come and when she came, she was kidnapped by them. She was tortured (fire cracks in her v*gina, cuts, freezing, burning, and more) she was forced to drink her own urine and eat cockroaches rather then a normal meal and water. She was also r@ped for days. Eventually when they were done they killed her and burned her head. Then they put her in a tube and threw her out of the window. The case is called 44 days of hell because this all was in 44 days. After the case the dudes were having a light punishment but they did so many crimes.

When I was around 3, I was raped by someone I trusted. It went on for about four more years. It feels like it really fucked me up and made me vulnerable to abuse, even though I'm emotionally and mentally quite strong most of the time. As I grew, I've heard and read a lot of stories of rape and violence. It used to shock me. This case too was one I came across and it shocked me. But gradually I've honestly grown numb to the shock because humans don't surprise me anymore. I just wish it didn't happen to anyone. There were times when I felt invalidated but also felt like I was extremely lucky to not also be physically hurt this badly and got a chance to experience life. Even though there were times I was suicidal and life really feels horrible, at times I have people I'm grateful to get a chance to meet and be with. Rape and sexual violence have become so common around us that only the worst cases shock us and make us think for even a while because this culture of violence has been normalized. Every time there are self-defense classes against sexual violence they say, "say no", scream, and fight back, but the cases like these make us so scared to do so.

Junko Furuta is a highschool girl and she rejected one the four guys that is shown in one of the pictures (the guy on the upper or bottom left, I believe). But he didn't take no as an answer. As Junko is about to go home from her part time job to see the final episode of her favorite show, she was kidnapped by the four boys and took her to another boy's home. There, they tortured her (like dropping brass balls onto her stomach, dripping hot candle wax on her skin, and lots of unimaginable things) and r-worded her for many days and even around 100 more men come to the house to do the same. The boy's parents are there but they didn't give two sh*ts about what their son and his friends are doing to poor Junko. One day, the boys challenged her to a game, if she wins, she'll be freed but when she did, they got so angry, they put Junko in more pain than before to the point that she's unrecognizable and dies from shock. They dragged her dead body to an empty drum and filled it with wet cement along with the tape of her favorite show because they're afraid that Junko's spirit might haunt them. And another thing, those f***ing monsters only have 7-12 years in prison because they're minors. This makes me so digusted, sad and angry.

For those who don’t know:
On 25 November 1988, Furuta was on her bike and riding home from her part-time job at an electronics retailer.[1] Hiroshi Miyano told his friend, Nobuharu Minato, to kick Furuta off her bike and run away. Miyano then asked to escort Furuta to her house. Miyano instead took Furuta to an abandoned warehouse where he raped and beat her. He told her that he had connections to the yakuza, knew where her family lived and would kill them if she told the police. Miyano took Furuta to a hotel where he along with Minato, Jō Ogura and Yasushi Watanabe were waiting and all took turns raping her. They had recently also done this to another girl.[2]
They took Furuta to Minato's parent's house. They held her there for 42 days. After three days missing, Furuta's mother was working with the police to try and find her. Her captors knew this and forced Furuta to call her parents to tell them she ran away and to not look for her.[3]
Minato's brother and parents knew a girl was in the house. The captors tried to say that Furuta was a girlfriend to one of them but they didn't believe them. Minato's brother and parents didn't care, saying they were too scared because of Minato's anger, his yakuza ties and their reputation. The captors later gave up on their story.[4]
The captors would brag to their friends about keeping Furuta captive. They would invite people over to also rape Furuta. At least 30 people did this. It's believed that over 100 people did this by the end, 500 different times, with up to 12 different men in a day.[5]
Due to dehydration, Furuta would vomit which cause the captors to become angry and beat her even more. They fed her water, milk, and her own urine due to not being able to control her bladder because of how badly they beat her. They also forced her to eat live cockroaches. They would force her to be naked most of the time, putting her in a freezer and making her sleep on the balcony in cold weather.[2] After 20 days, she couldn't walk. They would dump lighter fluid on her legs, set her on fire and crush her hands with dumbbells.[2]
During a night where her captors got drunk, Furuta tried to escape. She crawled downstairs and tried to call the police but Miyano found her, took the phone, and told the police that he called the wrong number. They set her on fire, put her head on concrete and stomped on it. After a while, they had beaten her so badly that they didn't find her attractive anymore, so they used the same plan they had before to rape another 19-year-old.[2]
They hung her to the ceiling fan by her wrists and used her as a human punching bag, naked. They would force her to masturbate and dance naked in front of "guests". They shoved objects such as a lit match, metal pole, knives and wood up her vagina and anus.
On 4 January, 1989, after a defeat in mahjong, Minato and the boys were angry so they beat and burned her for two hours. Furuta would go into shock and died the next day. Minato's brother phoned him to tell them of her death so they rushed to the house. They put Furuta's body in a 55-gallon oil drum and filled it with concrete. They dumped the drum at a construction site in Kōtō.[6]
After being questioned about the rape of the 19-year-old, Hiroshi got confused, and thought they were talking about Furuta. He thought that the other boys had told police about her so he told police about what happened to Furuta and told them where her body was. They had to identify her by fingerprints because her face was so badly beaten. The autopsy also revealed that she was pregnant. After being told about the details of her murder, Furuta's mother fainted and was entered into a psychiatric hospital.[7]
The Japanese police didn't reveal their names because they were underage, but Shūkan Bunshun, a Japanese magazine found and leaked their names saying that they were "inhuman and didn't deserve human rights". They were first going to be trialled as juveniles but it was later decided that they would be trialled as adults because of public backlash.[3]
They got light sentences.[8] They were not charged with murder, instead being charged with "causing bodily injury resulting in death". Hiroshi got 17 years but it was later upgraded to 20 after an appeal,[9] Minato got 5 to 7 years, Watanabe got 9 years and Jō got 8 years.[2] After being released, Minato changed his name to Shinji and was later arrested for the attempted murder of a businessman.[10] Jō changed his name to Jō Kamisaku. He bragged about Furuta's murder. Jō's father felt shame and said that he would give his entire life savings to Furuta's family. Jō took the money and spent it on himself instead. Jō's mother blamed Furuta for ruining her son's life and allegedly vandalized Furuta's tombstone.

( i copied and pasted so i didn't write it) Here is what happened: The Japanese girl, Furuta was cheerful, studious, kind and she never went drinking or partying. She was admired in her school.
She was very beautiful. There was a boy Hiroshi Miyano who liked her. He was the class bully
He went to Junko with her proposal but Junko denied this proposal upfront. Hiroshi could not take this rejection from her which made him furious and he decided to take revenge on her.

But then in no time and before Junko realized what was happening, Miyano along with his three friends kidnapped Junko.
They took Junko to a house in Adachi, Tokyo which was owned by one of the kidnapper’s parents. The parents knew this was happening but they took no actions because they were scared, as one of the kidnapper's were in close contact with a Japanese Mafia group. When she was kidnapped, her parents were worried and started a search for her so the boys made Junko call her parents thrice and say that she ran away, she was safe and that would be staying with some of her friends for a while.
Furuta was raped every single day, multiple times a day. she was r@ped by other Yakuza members as well as the four kidnappers. When the Yazuka members were invited, she was forced to M@sturb@t#, eat live cockroaches and drink her urine as an entertainment for those men. Overall, she was r@ped more than 900 times.
They also invited a gang of over 100 men each day to r@pe her and urinated on her. Only one man seeing her condition felt disturbed, so he called the police, the police came but the parents who lived below refused any girl being in the house. And the police didn't care searching further.
She was s@xually assaulted in other ways too, including being anally r@ped with a bottle and fireworks, and having a still lit light bulb inserted into her vagina which would blast inside her vagina. They would also insert metal rods inside her privates.After 11 days of torture, she could feel nothing but pain, her brain only knew one thing : pain
About her sleeping place, they forced her to sleep on a balcony wearing rags and remember when this happened it was winter, so they did this in hope of suffering her in the cold
The torture was very inhumane. They burned her with cigarettes and candle wax all over her body, had her hands and nails smashed by weights, beat her with sticks and clubs, and stomped on her. The men hung Furuta from the ceiling and used her as a punching bag until her damaged internal organs made blood run from her mouth. Whenever they got bored of her, they would lock her in the freezer, for hours and take her out again when they wanted to torture her. She was like a toy to them. They even flexed to their male friends about having a woman to themselves.
After 30 days, Junko Furuta could not urinate properly due to damage to internal organs and vulva from the insertion of foreign objects and burns from cigarettes and lighters. Her hands and feet were damaged severely, and it took her over an hour to crawl downstairs to the bathroom. Her eardrums were also damaged, and her brain size was reduced. She was also force-fed large amounts of alcohols,milk and water, so that she had to use the washroom more often, they enjoyed watching her crawl downstairs to the washroom in so much pain. Once she was so intensively hurt it took her over an hour to reach downstairs. Sometimes when she was forced to drink large amounts of water, they didn't let her go the washroom, but made her drink her own urine.
While she was only one quarter through her ordeal, owing to ongoing beatings, Junko Furuta could not breathe through her nose due to the accumulation of blood in her cavities. Her traumatized internal organs refused to accept food and water, so when she tried to drink, she instantly vomited, which kept her more dehydrated. It also agitated the perpetrators, who punished her with more beating for soiling the carpet. They forced her to dance to Music naked. They used needles to drill a series of holes in her body. The cruel boys even burnt her genitals, clitoris and eyelids with a lighter. One of her nipples was twisted with pliers. With so many injuries all over his body, Junko couldn’t even stand from the pain. She had to crawl downstairs to use the bathroom.
Two weeks in, Furuta managed to call the cops, but before she was able to say anything, the boys discovered her. When the police called back, Miyano assured them that the prior call had been a mistake. As punishment for violating the rules, her captors soaked her with lighter fluid and set her on fire - twice. Despite having a seizure, she lived through the attack, but would not live through a third burning, which was as a punishment for winning in a game they forced her to play (when she won in the game, they not only set her body on fire but beat her brutally with iron weights, they covered her hands in plastic as blood and pus was coming out immensely from them and threw a large iron ball on her stomach). She died after four hours of this happening, finally.
Hiroshi Miyano was sentenced to seventeen years, Shinji Minato was sentenced to five years, Jo Ogura served eight years, and Yasushi Watanabe served five years. By now, each of them has been released from jail. They changed their names and are living their lives happily and freely.
And if you're wondering what they did to her body, they threw her body in a drum and filled It with concrete, for two months the body remained in the drum until it was found
And the guy who proposed her and planned all this, Hiroshi, put a tape on the drum with the title of an anime Manga, this Manga was Junko(the girl)'s favorite show and she was waiting eagerly for the last episode but cud never watch it, and he wrote the name on the drum not because be liked her but because he wanted her soul to not haunt him...
Also, when all this happened her birthday was only a few days away.
When she died, a memorial was held for her by her school, all girls cried, all her friends cried, her entire school cried, her mom recieved a mental shock, she couldn't show her face, and her dad was in pain too far for words to describe, he couldn't stop crying either. They remembered this intelligent, young, modest,brave,kind girl who never liked dating or drinking or partying.
Furata's tortures don't even end at her death. When the four boys were sentenced to jail, one of the boy's mothers was furious on Furata and so she destroyed Furats's grave, because according to her, Furata ruined her son's life.
And the worst part remains, one of the kidnapper is actually married and has a young daughter. I am afraid for the girl's life. I bet the woman was forced to marry him

The sad thing about this, is that a police officer came to check the apartment on the 11th(?) day of the torture. At the doorway one of the boys assured the officer that everything was fine, and the officer left without checking the apartment. If he would've, Junko would've likely survived.

They fed her water, milk, and her own urine due to not being able to control her bladder because of how badly they beat her. They also forced her to eat live cockroaches. They would force her to be naked most of the time, putting her in a freezer and making her sleep on the balcony in cold weather.[2] After 20 days, she couldn't walk. They would dump lighter fluid on her legs, set her on fire and crush her hands with dumbbells.[2]
During a night where her captors got drunk, Furuta tried to escape. She crawled downstairs and tried to call the police but Miyano found her, took the phone, and told the police that he called the wrong number. They set her on fire, put her head on concrete and stomped on it. After a while, they had beaten her so badly that they didn't find her attractive anymore, so they used the same plan they had before to rape another 19-year-old.[2]
They hung her to the ceiling fan by her wrists and used her as a human punching bag, naked. They would force her to masturbate and dance naked in front of "guests". They shoved objects such as a lit match, metal pole, knives and wood up her vagina and anus.
On 4 January, 1989, after a defeat in mahjong, Minato and the boys were angry so they beat and burned her for two hours. Furuta would go into shock and died the next day. Minato's brother phoned him to tell them of her death so they rushed to the house. They put Furuta's body in a 55-gallon oil drum and filled it with concrete. They dumped the drum at a construction site in Kōtō.[6]
After being questioned about the rape of the 19-year-old, Hiroshi got confused, and thought they were talking about Furuta. He thought that the other boys had told police about her so he told police about what happened to Furuta and told them where her body was. They had to identify her by fingerprints because her face was so badly beaten. The autopsy also revealed that she was pregnant. After being told about the details of her murder, Furuta's mother fainted and was entered into a psychiatric hospital.[7]
The Japanese police didn't reveal their names because they were underage, but Shūkan Bunshun, a Japanese magazine found and leaked their names saying that they were "inhuman and didn't deserve human rights". They were first going to be trialled as juveniles but it was later decided that they would be trialled as adults because of public backlash.[3]
They got light sentences.[8] They were not charged with murder, instead being charged with "causing bodily injury resulting in death". Hiroshi got 17 years but it was later upgraded to 20 after an appeal,[9] Minato got 5 to 7 years, Watanabe got 9 years and Jō got 8 years.[2] After being released, Minato changed his name to Shinji and was later arrested for the attempted murder of a businessman.[10] Jō changed his name to Jō Kamisaku. He bragged about Furuta's murder. Jō's father felt shame and said that he would give his entire life savings to Furuta's family. Jō took the money and spent it on himself instead. Jō's mother blamed Furuta for ruining her son's life and allegedly vandalized Furuta's tombstone.

The obvious clarifications - not every person is afraid of this. That's why i said some. Either way i don't think it's good to invalidate someone's fear because not all people are dangerous like that. Of course they aren't. Fear isn't about rational thinking. It can be based on trauma and other factors.
Some men are afraid like this too. Yes. I didn't include that in my comment. Sorry. It's true that since this fear is more common in women i overlooked that and that's my bad.
Stuff like this feels like it's the rarity if you haven't been in contact with it, but it isn't. Of course the extreme caseslike in the video are rare, but that doesn't mean assault and abuse is rare. It's a real danger and no matter how disrespectful it seems to someone, it's always better to be safe. Again fear like this doesn't mean people are rationally thinking you are a murderer. It's a fear.
Not being able to say no doesn't automatically mean saying yes and then blaming people for listening to said "yes". That's completely different and i hate that kind of behavior.

I could say in response to your comment that yes people are fearful/afraid and/or cautious of driving, so they do in fact take precautions by wearing seatbelts and by abiding by speed limits and road rules etc. You can try to deflect and deviate from the realty of the situation but women/people do indeed have to take precautions every single day in fear of horrible people doing horrible things to them. That should just be a well known fact by now.
