I just realized today that all the money that Disney Plus is spending is not going just into VFX. Disney Voices International is translating this show into more than 12 languages I believe, maybe 15. WOW!!
Yes! Even though I watch Doctor who in OV (English) as an international viewer I always had to wait for each season to finish and then several months for it to be translated before I could finally buy and watch it. And even then sometimes it would only have the dubbed translated version and the original version was impossible to get legally. I am so grateful for the switch to Disney+, it allowed me to finally watch a season finale as it aired I’m so excited!
I've been watching on Disney+ on release, which in my country is 2am, not 12, but yeah lol. Props for getting this review up so quick! I'm not sure what you mean by it being quieter or slower than you expected, cause I thought the episode was insane haha... There was SO MUCH in it, I'm still recovering and processing everything. That being said, I very much enjoyed it, and it felt like an amazing RTD-type finale. His part 1's are always amazing though, tying in so many loose threads and theories, as you've said.. I just hope he can land the second part next week as well, cause the set up has been really great so far.

Brilliant episode loved this. The fact they get straight into it. The hints of who Susan is. The fact they were hinting she could be his granddaughter didn't think she was but could have been and who is Ruby's mother. Though could be jodie's doctor but how wouldn't he know or missy. Why point at the Dr or the monster behind the Dr perhaps. Only criticism don't think they would have tried to find out when Susan Triad was going live very soon shouldn't they have thought about that lol. Scary when the unit security got taken......to hell? How was it there in the tape. Why did the Dr keep saying the memory changed. So good. The reveal was great. Poor TARDIS. Mrs Flood still don't know what or who she is. Very sinister and foreboding. Really atmospheric epidode filled with dread and danger. Cant wait for next week
That is an interesting point, maybe we will get an explanation for that in the finale. I just assumed that since she can appear in any time then she technically could appear opposite even older Doctors too and they just wouldn’t have noticed until now haha

Hey there! Thanks for watching! I have watched avidly since 2005 and Christopher Ecclestons Doctor but even when I was very young I used to watch repeats of Doctor who from the 1970s onward with my Dad so I have pretty much been watching it my whole life!
Does that mean the room where the timelords took clara out of (extraction chamber) couldve been used for this purpose as well? The only reason i say this is because the doctor remembers hell bent and the last time he did this some ended up dead but he was a timelord so she came back but its a strange coincidence also the time window and the extraction chamber have that rainbow color after effect to tbem
That’s an interesting point, I think the Time Lord’s extraction chamber actually takes you to that point whereas I think this Time window is more of a reconstruction of the past from the video tape. I suppose the extraction chamber could have been used but with Gallifrey gone maybe there isn’t another extraction chamber around
Good morning Jonny, pleasure to see you as always. I enjoyed this and I actually stayed up for midnight this time!! I liked how UNIT has a specific way or door to let the Tardis in haha. Notice was it Norris who said Doc after Rogue called him Doc he didn’t like it? I enjoyed this episode. The time vault thing was cool! So for some reason I kept thinking to myself it’s the Trickster for the big villain… when Ruby’s mother was pointing I thought she was pointing to something bad Unit just couldn’t see it. From this episode do we have an idea who her mother is yet? There’s also something up with Mrs Flood. So happy we saw Kate, Rose and Mel again. I’m not familiar with this new villain though if I’m honest. Could you help me out? So next week is the week I watch episode 7 and the finale in cinema! Boy I’m so excited
I noticed how he gets called Doc again and was ok with it this time haha. Her mother is still a mystery right now so we will have to find out next week. The villain is returning from the Tom Baker era was only in one story but became a bit of a legendary character!

I noticed Harriet did mention Toymaker and Maestro for was it master of music or something. So is this like the ultimate Villian of Doctor Who?
I wouldn’t say the ultimate villain but definitely super powerful! I loved how they listed the Gods of the Pantheon. There are some other familiar names in that list!
I think what wasn't shown here which annoys me a bit is the appearance of the goblin ship he mentioned that he was there because of the goblins but the doctor did deliver the baby in this altered timeline
I am never doubting RTD's ability to write an Doctor Who finale again. 10/10. I wasnt expecting alot because of how inconsistent RTD has been & how hrs been adding alot of political stances but damn from the first second it has you engaged & constantly wanting more. The drip feed to the twist was Stolen Earth, Utopia kind of level. Can't believe I am saying this about Season 14 but this is for sure up there for one of the best episodes of all time

SPOILERS: *Why does EVERYONE ASSUME that who (or what) left Ruby at the Church door is/was her Mother?* It's nice to think that. Ruby thinks that. Carla even projects her crying at leaving Ruby in the VHS Time Window playback... Even though she cannot see whether it's a man woman or beast. Everyone seems to assume only a mother would leave a baby at a church door. A Father could be just as caring if the Mother died in childbirth. In the nine episodes with Ncuti and Millie can anyone point to 'actual evidence' that shows the person (or who/what) deposited Ruby at the Church is a woman...much less that it is Ruby's Mother? NO ONE in the penultimate episode could actually see or describe the hooded figure. I sincerely think we've all been carefully led down the garden path...to what we'll find out next week... Or, if unlucky, possibly next series😢.
I'm just glad that after probably the second or third weakest episode of this era so far, they were able to bring the stakes back up again. And finally, they brought back a villain that I thought they would never bring back to the main show. I thought the only way for this character to be back would just be relegated to multiple pieces of expanded media. And what got me the most was his actual voice. I'm visually impaired, and audio description doesn't read the credits apart from the logo and the name of the episode. I was wondering if anyone could see if that was his original actor doing the voice, because it sounds very much like him from the classic series.
What’s the point in doing half non-spoiler and half spoiler? The non-spoiler part is just too vague and you make it redundant by going into spoilers after it. If anyone is watching a review of a thing they haven’t seen yet they deserve to have it ruined for them, just review the episode mate you’re decent at it, don’t worry about idiots watching reviews on things they haven’t seen
I think this way is more open to everyone. Even more so now that the episodes drop at midnight here in the UK and perhaps someone wants to see people’s reactions before they get a chance to watch the episode themselves. To me if you have seen the episode the whole review is not going to have spoilers anymore but if you just didn’t get a chance to see it yet for whatever reason, then the first part is a short section that you can enjoy as well

Yes that is one piece that really was missing from the VHS tape wasn’t it it was kind of skipped over

The voice is incredible! I just checked and it is Gabriel Woolf the original actor! He also voiced The Beast in The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit
