- Hi, guys. Welcome to my channel PS Design. In this Photoshop tutorial, I’m going to show you how to create a wood texture or background or in Photoshop. This tutorial is created using adobe photoshop cc 2017 but you can use adobe photoshop cs, cc, any version you want. In this tutorial, I'll be showing you how to use the Fiber filter, how to use Noise filter, how to use the Motion Blur Filter, how to use level adjustments, how to use blend mood and in Photoshop. I’ll show you how to use blending option in Photoshop, how to use color overlay, bevel and emboss etc. I’ll also be showing you how to create a very cool, amazing background or wallpaper in Photoshop in a very short time.

Very fast! Some steps miss and I have no idea how to implement that lovely brown color.... Update: Lesson learned and I created beautiful wooden backgrounds. T H A N K Y O U !

Can u mention the steps as it's not clear which or what tools you're selecting
Issue: When I go to change the levels your settings are at 94; 1.0; 168 when I do this my image changes to almost a rainbow color and no longer has a brownish color. Any suggestions?

For people wondering about the solution later: I had the same issue. In the initial step of adding the noise, make sure the "monochromatic" box is checked at the bottom of that box :)
you have to select Monochromatic in Add noise section....!! It will remove that rainbow color.
Hi! I'm confused on why at 2:20 after creating the rectangle my properties tab doesn't change and just stays empty.
I can see at the timestamp at the bottom it says to click tab which I have but nothing happened if there's even any correlation at all.
Did you create the rectangles as paths?

Make sure the rectangle is selected and you are working with the "Path selection Tool".
