Dang nice arrangement!!👍 I love that you use the stem length as much as you do in your arrangements!- increases not just the size and perceived impact, but those stems don't come cheap either
Hello John just picked up on you a couple of days ago. I’m in Ayr and love all things flower arranging but I am purely doing it as a much loved hobby started with evening classes with my late mum in the 90s. I make arrangements season themed as gifts for friends and donate to church and charity, so because I do it at my own expense, I obviously don’t make money but I just love what I do and taking time till I get it right, having fun is what it is about for me. I have subscribed to your channel. Merry Christmas to you🌲🌲🌲🌲
Merry Christmas to you! That is fantastic that you are sharing want you love creating with friends and for charity - well done to you! You are totally right - it’s the process rather than the end result - the joy is in the creating! Glad you have found a way to bring flowers into your life and to spread that love. Have a great Christmas 🎄 🎅🏼
The dramatic difference in height of this arrangement is striking. The flowers and foilage below take on a forest floor effect. The textures are flawless and so wonderfully executed. The rectangular shape makes this so versatile. It would be beautiful in a low basket on a long farmhouse table or displayed in a dark granite oblong container in a contemporary minimalist setting.
Beautiful John, very much a statement arrangement. Lovely to see you use carnations and spray carnations, they are often overlooked but they are really pretty hardy flowers. The arrangement looks very contemporary, I love it
I love parallel designs! We did that type on the tables for a garden club convention. although for a budget allowance we didn’t use as much foliage or flowers. They are fun to arrange!
Once again you just keep pulling these stunning arrangements out of your hat where do you get so many ideas to use and create these superb masterpieces. Thank you for bringing such joy through the use of flowers
Thank you so much 😊 that is the beauty of flowers - there are nearly limitless possibilities! And we-are quite good at restyling, revamping, and redirecting as florists I think 😀🙋🏼♂️🌼
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this design, John! Bravo! The placement of the carnations is stunning and gives such a sense of depth. And glads are among my favorites. An exquistie piece. All best wishes!
Its truly magic John watching you create these lovely arrangements. Thank you for sharing your talent and joy in what you like to do with us all much appreciated.
John love watching you and have just subscribed, very polished artistry, love it. I’m from Ayr I am not professional but make arrangements as gifts for friends or money for charity.
This is such an interesting design John. I really love the way you have done the parallel lines in the European style. So lovely to watch you , thank you and stay safe xx
Beautiful work. Love gladioli and carnations. Used them a lot in my church work as well as pine and eucalyptus. Retired now though but I still love to see your arrangements.
Are you meaning the stem vertically going up? It is meant to be there just as a contrast to the flowers and to emphasis the vertical placements, but you could use a lighter coloured foliage like eucalyptus or just the flowers. It’s optional 😀
Hi. I am a new subscriber. I love your videos. But one thing that is very useful is to know how much something like that would cost? Or How much is a good price to charge for something like that? I know it varies according to what you utilize on your design. But it is always good to have an idea . I think it will help if you give us a rough estimation of what something like that would costs. I like the idea that you are telling us the name of the fillers and the flowers that you are working with so it would be easier if anybody wants to order it. Can you also show us how to make dried Sumer wreath? Thank you.
Hello! Welcome aboard 😀 those are good points and a good suggestion for a video 🌼 We tend to steer away from costs because as you say there are so many variables and the videos also can be out of date if they are older. But I shall have a think how best to give an indication . Thanks for watching and joining us 😊🙋🏼♂️
First Happy New Year. And Second, I loved this arrangement. By the way, have you lost some weight??? You look a bit thinner now. Could just be me!!! Anyway, it looks good and I'm going to try this the next time we have a party!
Thank you 😊 it’s a good style of design 🌼 If I have lost a little weight then I’m really happy 😃 that’s my New Year plan ! Send me a picture if you make a design in this style - we love seeing peoples designs 🙋🏼♂️💕

I love that you use the stem length as much as you do in your arrangements!- increases not just the size and perceived impact, but those stems don't come cheap either

How much tome the Gladiolas take time to open all the blooms?
That depends on the ambient temperature - if warm they will open in a day or two 😀
