Kinda funny how the advertisers were afraid of being associated with potentially controversial subjects back then, and still are today with the demonitization of youtube content. I guess not much has changed
Imagine a RUclipsr with his own channel, making videos for a small audience. His followers want him to become more popular. But popularity comes with a price: a price that must be paid in the Twilight Zone.
Thank you! Even after almost 60 years, The Twilight Zone is still one of the greatest shows of all time, with more classic episodes than most series have in total.
I just discovered this channel from the AV Club. I absolutely love all things horror as is, but looking at your uploads and seeing TZ as your newest one was worthy of an instant subscribe. The greatest show ever made, and a great video on it.
Thanks for watching, and for subscribing! I'm happy to see that, despite the show's age, this video is being so well received. As you said, it really is the greatest show!
Superb explanation of the show. I get sentimental when I see Rod Serling in the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror as Disneyland. I was lucky to direct three actors from the TZ: Rod Taylor, Keven McCarthy and talking a lot with H.M. Wynant who released the Howling Man from his cell. Keep making these great videos. Good narrator voice and style, too.
Paul Kyriazi I wish they said who is starring at the beginning of the episodes. I love a lot of The Twilight Zone actors but don't know any of their names because Netflix jumps to the next episode too quick.
Glad to see that _'The Time Element'_ is now recognized as part of _'The Twilight Zone'_ family of episodes with it's inclusion in the _'The Twilight Zone'_ Blu-Ray box set...
Great video. I distinctly remember my father recommending the Twilight Zone to me when I was little. Saying it was one of his favorite shows. But I've still not seen it unfortunately.
Digging the channel content. However, one note: I think your narration could stand to be a tad more animated or dynamic. You've got a clear voice, with good articulation, but you're delivering with the same tone and rhythm throughout, which wears on me after a few minutes. In any case, I'm on board. Looking forward to seeing where this channel goes next. Keep it up!
Have you watched black mirror? I feel like it does a good job at modernizing the original twilight zone format, while also keeping the social commentary present in the original twilight zone series.
Dr. Udru The biggest difference is that most of the episodes of Hitchcock Presents are about crime, mystery and suspense. There's only a handful of episodes that are fantasy stories like The twilight zone. Hitchcock didn't write any episodes that I'm aware of and he only directed about 17 of the 268 episodes. Hitchcock himself is hilarious and definitely one of the best parts of the show. When the show starts he's always doing something different. In one episode he is chiseling out a gravestone and said "I'm making a gift for a dear friend. It's a going-away present." Another thing he almost always did was comment about his sponsor and the commercials. He always made fun of them but in a very elegant way
Dr. Udru there's a lot of good ones. I like "The little man who was there" Norman Lloyd is really good in that. I don't know if you know him. He was in Hitchcock's movie Saboteur. He's 103 now and still acting!!! A few years ago he was on modern family and had a funny scene with Mitch and Cam. I don't know if you watch that show lol also Hitchcock Presents still comes on TV. It comes on metv
Yeah, I hope I can. I actually haven't seen any episodes of Night Gallery, but it's definitely on my watch list. Especially Spielberg's pilot segment with Joan Crawford!
The Twilight Zone is the greatest show ever Rod Serling was way ahead of his time The Obsolete Man is my favorite Episode of all time behind The Masks where the greedy family gets what's coming to them
Can we all agree the twilight zone was ahead of its time
Kinda funny how the advertisers were afraid of being associated with potentially controversial subjects back then, and still are today with the demonitization of youtube content. I guess not much has changed
So true. It doesn't make sense that I can buy horror movies at Walmart, but they don't want their ads to run on videos about those same movies.
How is your channel not more popular? Youre gonna blow up soon, I can feel it
Here's hoping! I can feel it... coming in the air tonight!
And I've been waiting for this moment for all my life

Haha! I had a good laugh over this! Thanks!
BRILLIANT!
I was completely blown away by the fact that Bernard Herrmann composed music for The Twilight Zone...
Good job sir...I'm only 46...but I watch this alot...enough to buy the 156 episode series on dvd!
Thank you! Even after almost 60 years, The Twilight Zone is still one of the greatest shows of all time, with more classic episodes than most series have in total.

Great to hear! Glad to have you as a fan!

I didn't really understand what the Twilight Zone was, but I'm compelled to watch it now, great video!
Awesome! I'm glad it's interested you! I recommend checking out the top rated episodes on IMDb.
I shall, awesome channel by the way.
I was 10 years-old when "The Twilight Zone" first aired, and I was hooked! As far as I'm concerned it was and is the greatest t.v. series ever.
Great video. I distinctly remember my father recommending the Twilight Zone to me when I was little. Saying it was one of his favorite shows. But I've still not seen it unfortunately.
Thanks! You should check out an episode or two sometime. There's tons of "top episode" lists around the web.
Great job! ❤️ as a fellow twilight zone nerd I absolutely love the end of the video. 🥰
Nice job, Dr. Udru.
Welcome to *THE TWILIGHT ZONE!!*
nice concise presentation.
Omg, it's Arbogast in "The Time Element!" Did not realize that before!
I knew you'd recognize him! Everyone in the Twilight Zone is somebody from something!
Watch 12 Angry Men!!! There's 5 or 6 Zone-Alumns
BEST SHOW EVER! Thank you, sir.
This was great!
Great video, love Serling and the TZ
Thanks! You, sir, have fantastic taste, then!
Amazing content, keep it coming!
We are all in the Twilight Zone now in 2020 🧐
Very informative video. Where did you get your facts from? I’m just curious because I’m going to be doing a similar video in the future lol
Super job!
Wow, excellent biopic video.
And "That Happy Place"?
Oh how I love this show!!!! When it comes on dont care what I am doing it has to wait!!!!! To get my dose of TWILIGHT ZONE!!!!!

gotta agree, your voice is good but a little too nasal. If you had some pratice your content would be better presentend! Hope you the best.
Excellent vid.
Thank you! :D
But it is probably the first series I have ever seen when I came to Germany and is still one of my favorite series to this day.
Love the Twilight Zone and your channel! Keep making videos!
Thanks! Will do!
Another great video.
How do you feel about Tales From The Crypt?
Tales From The Crypt is great! Anything with an skeletal-puppet host is good in my books. If you haven't, you should check out my video on it.
I don't know how I didn't notice that you already made that! Dang.
Excellent video = New Sub
Have you watched black mirror? I feel like it does a good job at modernizing the original twilight zone format, while also keeping the social commentary present in the original twilight zone series.
I've watched the first episode, and from what I saw I agree. I'm waiting for a free weekend to binge the rest.
Dr. Udru I highly recommend! And as always great video!!
Rod Serling is a goddamn saint.
What do you think about Hitchcock presents?
I actually haven't got around to watching any Hitchcock Presents yet, but as a HUGE Hitchcock fan I've really been meaning to.

Sounds awesome! I'll have to start watching. Any favourite episodes to recommend?

Dr. Udru "The Crooked Road" is one I really love. Walter Matthau is in it and he's great!
You wanna see something really scary?
Classic! Man, feel like more people need to watch the movie.
A night gallery vídeo,maybe....?
Yeah, I hope I can. I actually haven't seen any episodes of Night Gallery, but it's definitely on my watch list. Especially Spielberg's pilot segment with Joan Crawford!
Dr. Udru Fingers cross dude!!
5:56 Ron Howard?
Is that some new-age bible quote? It's actually Bill Mumy, who would later play Will Robinson on Lost In Space.
extremely well done! Content and info is great just need better voice over work. it's grueling getting thru it tbh.
edit: I subbed regardless lol
They are comparing the twilight zone to the 1982 version of poltergeist one.
The Twilight Zone is the greatest show ever Rod Serling was way ahead of his time The Obsolete Man is my favorite Episode of all time behind The Masks where the greedy family gets what's coming to them
you mean,"what if we're all characters in search of an exit"?
the 80's had the best revival.
Better show than any of the crap made today
Desilu....."dez.e.loo".....
He saw the truth
