      Regarding the statements from Trump's team, even I, as a Chinese person, find them absurd. The claims from Trump's team are clearly self-contradictory! They say that without introducing immigrants, it is impossible to deal with the threat from China, but China currently does not introduce immigrants at all. According to their logic, a country must introduce immigrants to become strong, so a country like China, which does not introduce immigrants, cannot become strong and therefore cannot pose a threat to an immigrant country like the United States. Thus, introducing immigrants to counter China, a non-immigrant country that cannot possibly threaten the United States, is entirely a false proposition. This is completely a conspiracy against ordinary workers! It is utterly ridiculous!

    • @PenelopePitstop0078
      @PenelopePitstop0078 19 часов назад

      @ I beg to differ, that China “cannot possibly threaten the U.S.” I want China to succeed; I don’t absorb all the propaganda that proliferates against China. But, China, if pushed into a corner, to severely weaken or destroy it, they will absolutely come out, fighting. So , forgive me, but I have a problem with that statement.
      Happy New Year 🎊

      There's nothing stopping an average American from getting a high paying job in tech. Honestly, whoever put some effort in it was able to get into great jobs. They even started allowing American workers to join tech without any technical degrees and just based on some certifications only. And there were many smart ones who benefited from it. But now the thing is, you cannot train a dog to fly a plane. And people on H-1B are actually helping the country to keep jobs in the US and allowing the government to gain taxes on it. Which allows the country to grow. The jobs are already getting outsourced at surplus rate outside the US and the government would be losing a lot of money on that. So y'all really should be very thankful to H-1Bs who are working and helping your economy to grow.

      IMHO, that's half truth. You are mixing 2 different facts. Yes, due to currency conversion and cost benefits, offshoring of the jobs does take away jobs out of country. But having a H1B visa does entitle to on par salary for foreign workers plus additional costs to company on processing of visa, insurance etc. If Americans were as educated as Chinese or Indians, you wouldn't see those races in American universities, if you have been there. So yes, half truth and that's been so for decades.

If they fire them or if the H-1B employee quits, they have to go back to their country. @@OptimistPrime_1As a previous H1B I agree, but there are not a lot of such Americans as American talent is evenly distributed in all fields not just STEM. Indians like me since last 7 decades have had only three options - engineer, doctor, and civil administration (govt jobs) for a middle class life. So we chase paycheck, while true Americans chase their passions which does not always yield a good paycheck especially in these times as the world is getting very digitized. Americans would have to compromise a bit, turn passion into hobbies, but do jobs they may not really like for paycheck. Unfortunately, in the quest for tech dominance balance in the society is being lost. “Pursue your passion” motto has had great impact on American innovation which will be compromised. But these are different times. AI will make it even worse with traditional non tech jobs transformed into tech jobs building and maintaining AI plants managed from India. My wife voted Trump when she saw the glut of H1Bs will make it harder for own children. But we are very suspect the trend will stop as China is at the heels and America wants to dominate.

    H1B visa workers are commonly paid less than native workers for the same job. Companies that rely heavily on HIB hiring do so to save money on labor costs, not because they are hiring the best talent available.

    • @synthmaven
      @synthmaven 2 дня назад

      And those workers pay less to acquire their skills than Americans do. Maybe Americans should be allowed to deduct their loans form their taxes so as to level the playing field. That's one way to handle student loans.. they get paid back while incentivizing people to get useful rather than DEI educations, enabling them to pay off their debts in a dignified manner.

    It's amazing to see the resilience of Bitcoin, even amidst the U.S. regulatory standards. Trump victory created a major roles including a substantial fine and leadership changes, signal a significant shift in the cryptocurrency market. Despite the impact on the financial sector and the crypto market, BTC seems to have emerged unscathed and is once again being hailed as a safe haven asset. This is a testament to the value and potential of this relatively new asset class. There hasn’t been a more better time to start trading, thanks to Aria Cookings Crypto strategy I have been able amass 19 BTC in three weeks of trading. H1b should be for when we don't have skilled workers, but we do. The issue isn't their skill. The issue is they "don't work hard enough" which can be very nefarious when you have people like Musk asking people to work 80 hours a week. A part of the American dream is having work life balance and not being abused.

      @mfer134 the H1b is indentured servitude without the benefit of becoming a citizen. It has nothing to do with race or DEI. If you don't believe in borders then abolish the passport system and birthright citizenship and allow anyone the right to travel worldwide. But you will have to change the laws. Instead you are playing both sides while the little guy with the h1b is exploited. My standards for citizenship would be much stricter than birthright. But people do have the right to travel and work under common law. The problem is corporate law versus common law and people are gaming the system while exploiting poor people.

    Actually, I am trying to get a discussion going about the brain drain the UK is going through, someone mentioned a British couple where the husband was an engineer and wife was a teacher, moved to America and doing well. That benefits America and a big loss for the UK. Skilled and educated people moving overseas is a plus for any country, make no bones about that. I thought Trump wanted to bring back jobs to America and stop illegal migrations, I don't remember him talking about highly skilled and educated jobs only going to Americans. You banned highly skilled people working in America, then countries will banned highly skill Americans working in their country, it is how it works.
