as salaamu alaykum. I am currently dealing with this topic despite not knowing Arabic, since the disparaging quotes from the ahl al hadeeth in tareekh baghdad, kitab as sunnah, sharh as sunnah, tafseer ibn abi hatim, sharh usul itiqad ahl as sunnah, etc. The ta'n of the ahl al hadeeth on imam abu hanifa makes it seem like he is not even to be followed at all. and I have also seen that Imam Muhammad Zahid al-Kawthari has done ta'n of ahl al hadeeth on the salaf in defence of Imam Abu Hanifa. is there anyone I could contact to know more or someone who knows about these quotes?
