Love the simplicity, and this plan makes sense for my new KJV sovereign bible. It has Limited margins but I have an at home bible for more in depth study. I want to use my carry bible for discipleship and witnessing to the lost. Would you introduce a new color like brown or purple or add those topics to your existing four color system?
That’s a great idea! I think there is going to be overlap between the warning (red) and verses on sin, and the promises (black) and verses on salvation. But if you would want salvation and evangelism verses to just be a specific color, you could definitely go that route. I think you will find that there are a ton of “promise verses” that relate to salvation! So awesome to hear you are creating a system for you that will help take your Bible reading to the next level!
@@kylegilstrap I really appreciate that. I can see overlap. Does one idea feel right over the other. I believe limiting colors avoids over complicated systems and perhaps a sticky tab for areas to quickly refer to on the salvation and witnessing tab could be appropriate. Mind is racing. Lol

I just do base on topic. I’m my Schuyler Bible, it has good cross references on the bottom. Sometimes I will underline them in the matching color of what is underlined in the verse. In my custom bound journaling Bible, I just write the cross reference in the margin of the Bible in the same color.
This is what I have been looking for. Very simple and clean look. Thank you!
So glad it was a help!
A huge help thank you. MikeInMinnesota

Looks like the KJV sovereign is based similarly to your Shyuler Canterbury. I need to add red under gold and paper to back. 😀
@@kylegilstrap to avoid overlap I might add brown for sin, false prophets, anti Christ , traditions of men, etc. less overlap the better right
Sorry last question. What color do you use for cross references or chain references in your non wide margin bible?
Can you please leave a link to the pens in the description? Thanks :)

Do you have a specific color for cross references and chains or just the color that matches based on topic?

How do you determine what to underline? I have a tendency to over do it. Lol
Lol. I understand that feeling. The more I study a passage the more “marked up” it becomes.
