The blue Falcon is my personal favorite vehicle in F-Zero. It’s not the best or worst in any category but it has a excellent performance rate and the the weight itself is the reason why it’s so balanced.
I need to play X more. Still chipping at GX, and Blue Falcon has only been replaced by Astro Robin and Little Wyvern. Playing X a little, I actually like the Blue Falcon more in X than I do GX, I find it to be a lot less slippery.
I've found it to be the opposite myself. In GX the falcon feels way better to me. Maybe it was just the way X handles turning but in GX its very hard to get the blue falcon to slip. Only time I encountered that if I was doing long multiple boosts in the 1300km-1400km range. Even snaking with it is surprisingly controllable. This ship has taken me though expert on all four cups so far. Just master to go. God help me. XP
I finally beat X yesterday (get a trophy on every cup in all difficulties), and when playing Big Hand for the then final time, I finally discovered how to do quick turns, and got first place as Blue Falcon. Also, you can play with the speed-acceleration in increments by using the D-Pad.
This is the Blue Falcon at its weakest within the F-Zero franchise, but even then it's still decent, and only at its weakest because the game favors very specific stat spreads due to how important certain advanced techniques are to setting good times.
