sasaengs don't want to get filmed? what if someone would follow these sasaengs and follow them everywhere?
I wonder how would they feel like. I hope someone would do this so they know what the hell are they doing to those celebrities.
Please do something about these things.. they're not fans if they treat everyone like shit.. it hurts me even when they threaten normal fans..

God, is that why education in Korea is REALLY important ? (The video said that the sasaengs are young and usually don't go to school). KPOP idols are really brave to be patient like that. I find Koreans really lucky to be 'Korean' because they can meet their idols everywhere in unexpected moments while us, International fans, are just watching videos, going to tumblr and allkpop ... They (Koreans) should be proud of it, not chasing their idols. (Sorry for my English :3).

  • @dolphinxiah

How irony, they dont want others to film or record them but they film and record every movement of their idol!
Sick mind it is~ they seriously need help, korean government can invest more on psychological industry for the sake of other innocent people.

Unfortunately in the kpop world, bad things like this do exist. Its really embarrassing that we are making bad and first impressions of kpop.
Just imagine showing your friend the world of kpop for the first time and suddenly see saesang news. Their reaction? They will just leave and be disgusted.

  • @Bluehime

This is disturbing. Like seriously, it's like a horror story brought to life. Is their lives so empty and lifeless, that they have to go into prostitution, abuse others, and disrupt societal life JUST TO GET A CELEBRITY'S ATTENTION? And to make matters worse, the law and business (the taxis for example) are doing little to assist in the situation, it's like it's ALRIGHT for them to do criminal acts and they can't do a thing to stop them. I'm so baffled at this bs...

    • @lillefrau
      @lillefrau 10 лет назад +6

You know, I actually think their lives are indeed empty or something's just wrong. Their behavior also only lets me think about psychological disorders. Being so obsessed and immersed with people you don't even know, there just has to be something wrong. I can be quite obsessive and jealous myself and I know that this is because of past things that messed up my psychological well being, but I would never ever go as far as them and that's why I really think that their behavior comes from psychological problems. They actually need help but no one even cares to look into all this sasaeng thing. It could be stopped if these girls would get taken away from idols and get therapy. I'm quite positive about that :>

They shouldn't be called "fans" in any way. “Brain-damaged psychopaths” is more fitting in my opinion. I mean, what’s wrong with them? Where and how hard did they hit their heads to end up being so messed up? They should be put in prison all together! Seriously, you should be interested in the well-being of someone you love instead of doing literally everything to be noticed by that person.
I feel so bad for the idols… Honestly Korea, you should do something against those kids! At least I know now what to look out for when I’m attending a kpop concert in Korea…

"We expect a more mature fandom culture in the future." Pshh, like that's ever gonna happen, unless there are some serious consequences enforced onto these insane people ( they are NOT fans) for what they do, I don't think it'll stop and instead just get worse.

  • @MeaNxGuRLxAshley
    @MeaNxGuRLxAshley 11 лет назад

This. So much. The way kpop idols interact with their fans are interesting, just looking at the efforts they made to connect with the fans. They talk about personal things quite a lot as well, and just the general approach they take to portray themselves cultivates an illusion of feeling very close to them for the audience in general. This works especially well with teens or those who aren't very independent or mature in their thinking yet and... Also there's no real repercussions.

  • @carolegordon9214
    @carolegordon9214 10 лет назад +10

Seriously as an international fan these girls would get short shift from me if they tried to tag along to get better seats or think I would be grateful to them and pay them for tagging along. No one needs someone like that around them. Trust me an international fan would slap them back much harder, they are so disrespectful!

I think they should rename saesang fans into Stalkers. And even if they are being recognized by the celebrity, the celeb is probably NOT thinking "oh thats the fan that knows me best! I like him/her out of all my fans" but INSTEAD its "thats the stalker that follows my every move. She/he should just mind their own business." GOSH LEAVE THEM ALONE.

  • @lillefrau

It's so ironic how the sasaengs are running away from the camera, shouting how they don't want to be filmed but at the same time they take pictures and videos of idols whenever and wherever they want to and don't even care if the idol actually wants that. It's also kinda shocking that the sasaeng that's being interviewed here doesn't even feel a little bit bad for her actions and how superior she feels towards "normal fans" like wtf I think they all have some mental problems going on, cause this is not normal thinking and behavior. What I don't understand at all are the parents. They should know about what their children are doing right? If they know they should take action, cause their children can't live like that and they won't have a future if all they do is chase after idols. Skipping or dropping out of school? What are they gonna do when they're adults? Sasaengs need to be stopped on several levels: parents, law, psychologically and from the idol side (or rather Entertainment side). Otherwise I don't see them going away, only getting worse probably.
Well, seems like someone has to die before proper action is taken. And I really hope it won't have to go that far before people wake up and do something.
    Sorry for the long rant.

  • @xXxlauraacxXx

I'm all up for "Fight the bad!" "Create the resistance!!".. but the fan that did the interview said that the sasaeng fans get really aggressive towards the korean normal fans.. so, we can't do anything in that department until quite a few of the calm-unless-provoked fans go and defend and do what's right.. or what's morally correct--according to universal/worldwide standards. No?
TBH this video got me really upset, mad even. I just can't see such a mad obsession happening to that extent. Enough to change an idols attitude towards the fans in general (D.O reference). Goodness, don't even get me started on the recent incidents (Seungri Car accident)

This makes me really fear for the idols. There is no reasoning with them. There is really nothing you can say or do to try and shock them from doing this they're so far gone. And to think of the resources/connections that they have; if idols do try to stand up imagine what they(SF) could do.

Celebrities are all servicemen. They provide the service of entertainment for the mass and for themselves. To harass these servicemen is not only disrespectful, but also shows their thoughtlessness. If they "loved" their celebrities, they would be careful to keep them safe and unharmed, not slap them so the celebrity would remember them. They're selfish and cruel. They say that "it's for the sake of such-and-such," what shameless lies. Sasaeng fans need to open their eyes. This is not love.

Oh wow, I never saw a follow-up on the incident... I blame the lack of security/staff for not doing their job and making sure no one approached the stage. She didn't press charges?! I think that's probably one of the problems with this sasaeng issue. Idols/celebs are just letting these issues slide. Instead of giving them consequences, they just let them go. They're going to have to do something before it gets any worse. But yeah, these people are more stalkers than fans.

  • @DevilsWings28

They (company or idols) should call the police or security for the idols, if the sasaengs going over the line. Did they think idols would love them, because they stalk them, hurting their fans and don't give them privacy? They should go to a psychologist, if they think so.

  • @jaydubbauu

You can't stop them don't you see that? They said they usually go into their houses, read their text messages and feel proud when they know more than regular fans right? So imagine if a idol decides to file charges on one of these super fans, imagine the dirt that this fan has on this idol. If you spend every waking moment stalking someone your going to learn their secrets, that's why they are allowed to do what they want. Cause if you go against them they can ruin you, simply and easily.

And then those extreme will book a van to 'stalk them' during their schedule when artist are sightseeing . The only good thing is that there are security at those area and they are staying here for maximum 3-4 days.

(luckily) I squeezed a few juice from him. then by curiosity, i told him 2 go to SJ dorm, just 2 see it then go back. there, i saw a foreign fan, and happened 2 know that she'd come 2 seoul to follow SJ every single holidays she has. so the local saseangs r at the much higher level...

Suddenly I´m really happy how some kpop groups doesn´t have a cellphone.. They don´t need to be tracked like criminals, when they go out then..

My friend ever got hit by sasaeng sones, it was back then when Sones were in a war with ELF, but my friend apparently liked SNSD, but the sasaengs wouldn't even welcome new fans.

leaving used sanity pads at their door, using their bodies to pay taxi fare? ok this is seriously fucked up!! all of them should be ashamed as humans and more importantly as girls!! no idol would respect or even appreciate you doing all these fucked up things for them!

If a sasaeng fan tries to threaten or intimidate me, I am just going to flat out curse them out. I really don't give a f*ck. Those crazy fans shouldn't be allowed to do that. The idols must feel like they're being harrased or assaulted. I feel very sorry for them. For me, even just a glimpse of my favorite idols is okay for me. But what those sasaengs do, even to the normal fans, are just overboard. They should have a law against that. It's disrespectful.

So um, I went to Korea for a concert and although I'm Korean, I can't speak it all that well and my grandparents are (not bragging) but "rich" in Korean standards. So, my grandparents live in the same apartment like complex as an idol (will not reveal who) and I was so excited cause I knew who they were! But, I didn't do anything or go over to them because I didn't want to bother them but I got tickets for this idol, and while walking out I was like "I could tell them that I live next to them! That would be kinda creepy tho..." and while waiting a group of girls noticed my American clothing and said hi. I said hi back in Korean but I had an American accent and they immediately knew that I was foreign. They said they were willing to help me out if I just payed for it and because I was so gullible(still am) I agreed. I also told them that I live near the idol and they asked me where I lived, I told them no I didn't want to give that out and one of the girls just slapped me and said "tell me right now" I ran away but they chased after me so I had to hide in a public bathroom. I'm glad I didn't tell them because I really respected that idol

They bring shame to even normal fans too. Why bothering about idols private life, if they are in showbiz it doesn't mean they can't do what they want. Fans should control themselves.
They are singer we should only be concerned with the music not what they do back stage or at their houses.
This video actually give me chills.. How idols must have been so scared of them

being a fan is nice BUT being a SASAENG "fans" is toooooo BAD IT IS VERY VERY SUPER BAD! sasaengs should be in jail forever! true fans love and respect their idols especially the idols privacy! sasaengs is like a super crazy person! are they a true fans? because true fans will not do it, so sasaengs should be in jail, they should be punished, and do they even have a parents? because if they have what kind of parents are they? teaching their children a bad manners/attitude? invading persons privacy is a crime!!!!

this is so scary. i understand if you just go to a concert or performance, but following stars around 24/7? what about your own life? don't you want to live it?

Being a sasaeng is a sickness, imo. they are people with obsessive behavior, STALKERS, and need psychiatric help.
Idols and companies really just need to beef of security in every way possible. And that's too bad for normal fans who keep their distance, mind own business. This situation makes the idols scared of everybody.
They ruin the fun for everybody, tbh.

I serously think SK has to take legal actions, if they let it escalate further there are going to be accidents or worse, casulties. If the Kpop stars are being followed of course there'll be an accident sooner or later. Sasaeng fans should be taken to court, I know it's very easy to say but they really should DO something. Don't let them sleep in front of the dorm. Contact taxi companies and talk about it. Just don't be so passive and wait till the bomb explodes, it'll be too late by then o.o

True, but if they actually received punishmentfor it (either from the government or their parents depending on age) I feel like some reaction should take place and they might begin to understand their behavior. It can have the opposite effect too, because if they are seriously treated each time they cross the line they might stop. Imagine a bullier, s/he will go on until someone sets stop for him/her.

i really don't get why they should threatening other local fans even international fans.
i don't get how they still even PROUD to do those stuff.
and how they prevent normal fans to go to performances with only a blacklist?
everything is so confusing to me..
it disgusting honestly, but at the same time i pity them (sasaengs)..

Why is there no action being taken against this? People are stalking, people are invading privacy, people are getting hurt, FOR GODS SAKE YOUNG PEOPLE ARE PROSTITUTING THEMSELVES.
    This needs to be stopped.

They don't like to be recorded? That's ironic, considering how they never stop watching idols, yet they can't even stand to be watched for 2 minutes.

Sasaengs are just scary. They shouldn't be called "fans" because fans are people who support the celebrities and respect their privacy. Prostitution, stalking their every move, skipping school, and leaving used pads outside their door? They are insane! They probably are outcasts and are attention deprived kids- but they need healthier solutions to their problems. Korea should set stricter laws that prevent this..I feel bad for the korean celebrities who get stalked.
