Bro please first of all know all the facts and figures and then make a video..As you told that MTech guys face problem in placements at IIT, this is completely false (Talking about MTech CSE people) In fact all the MTech CSE students gets placed in 2-3 days only once the placement starts as I'm currently studying in an IIT pursuing MTech so I know all the facts and figures I've data of previous year placement reports and it's not what you told in video. Mostly everyone got placed in first 3 days of placements.Yes there are some exceptions everywhere so 4-5 people remain unplaced but afterwards they were also placed . And coming to the point you told that people go for Mtech to avoid campus placement at their bachelors or they remain unplaced that's why they go for Mtech is completely false.. People go for Mtech because they want to do better in their life rather than working for a service based company at 3-4 LPA, I was also placed at TCS Infosys at 3.5 LPA but I wanted something more better and fill the learning gap which was there because of a tier 3/4 college that's why I went for Mtech. And mostly all of my classmates are also of same category. Everyone was placed in their bachelors but they were not satisfied with that job that's why they came here for pursuing MTech..to learn more to have a better job.. So please don't speak just anything random.. First of all clear all the facts and figures truth behind a topic and then make a video. Many people have changed their life by clearing GATE and doing masters from IIT so please just don't demotivate others this video will demotivate lots of people because of wrong facts which you told...As I respect you a lot it hurts when you make such kind of videos I admire you a lot for what you are so please maintain that image.. If you are really preparing for GATE then don't listen to such illogical videos. My points 1. If you are cracking GATE that implies you have very good knowledge of Computer Science subjects, whereas if you have cracked JEE it says that you are good in maths, physics, and chemistry. GATE subjects are more relevant for your placements than chemistry. 2. "The boy cracking JEE is more intelligent than a boy Cracked GATE" doesn't make sense. as per my experience if you are not that good in physics and chemistry it doesn't mean you are bad in computer science. 3. "Don't write GATE to avoid placements" really?? If you are a GATE topper that obviously means you are good enough to get a good job. 4. "interviewer asks why you not placed in Btech" whattttttttt?? answer is because I haven't tried. I want a big product-based company that I can get easily from IITs(even some students don't deserve it). Whatever My message is don't gets demotivated. Exactly this man is just misleading BTech students so that no one should migrate towards GATE for MTech and should watch his coding courses for BTech Placements. If everyone will migrate towards GATE MTech then this man's subscribers will decrease as students will stop watching his courses and his channel will stop progressing. That's the simple logic. Perfect answer. Chemistry has nothing to do with cse, physics is also used very rarely and math is also not of that hard level for developers. If u have cracked gate in cse it means u have good understanding of basics and u can build logics.

Dear GATE Aspirants if you want to just get some motivation then just search for Placement stats of M.Techs in top IIT. You will get your answers, This is just an excuse to leave out your dreams. This guy is giving his views based on his conversation with a single Guy from IIT KGP. If you actually want to know what happens talk to a lot of seniors from IISC, IIT Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kanpur and other IITs you will get your answers.

I got IIT this year for my master's and let me tell you I am really happy and excited. I know maximum who is serious for gate belongs to mediocre colleges and want to get to IITs and NITs. Brother just to confirm you that the boy named Rohit Negi who has got the highest placement(2.05cr) from IIT Guwahati from Uber international was from tire 3 college. He cracked the GATE exam and he got the highest placement above the so-called JEE craked Btech student.

Most of the companies visiting iits and nits have separate vacancies for graduate as well as post graduate students so it is not always you have to compete with btech students. Even mtech mechanical guys get placed into software companies!
Yes but considering 2 years in upskilling vs mtech you'll be better placed while upskilling. Mtech even from IIT doesn't guarantees placement but getting your skills right does
I don't know what kind of students he was taking about. I am gate qualified and bagged AIR 600. I did get placed in my BTech but it wasn't what I was expecting coming from 3rd tier college we didn't had opportunities of FAANG. I gave gate to get that opportunity and got it as well and most of us give gate to get that opportunity.
I had offers from IIT Jodhpur, Indore, IIT ISM, and NIT Trichy, but in the end, I joined NIT Trichy after comparing the median package offered and other facilities.

I realised something , no matter what happens , you can't relay on any institute or placement companies for our goalscorer . Just follow your heart and your interest and then see the magic.
The motivation behind the video maybe right but it lacks quite some perspective. Ofcourse getting into IITs doesn't guarantee anything. You should get into IITs for the opportunities , environment and excellent peers you will meet there. Ofcourse you will have to compete against BTech guys , but you will be competing for better positions also. I cherish my MTECH days at IIT and would anyday advice for it unless one is damn sure of what they want to do.
Just check placements for all IITs on their respective websites. At every IIT college, most of the M Tech Admitted Students got placed. Above 90% out of the total admitted students.

Regarding placement and package, no college guaranties a good package... One of my cousin has completed his b tech from IIT patna in cse and still he is placed at 11lpa which is very low as compared to the college he was studying... I have seen tier 2,3 guys getting placed at 15lpa+ it's not too rare to see them... So it's not college that gives placement it's your hardwork that lands you a job.. And IIT's will provide us those opportunities so it's totally worth it to go for m tech

I respect you a lot but a lot of points mentioned in this video are completely wrong such as: 1. The placement opportunities in MTech are very less as compared to BTech candidates. Very wrong! Almost every company treats MTech and BTech as equivalent when they visit IIT's. Especially for MTech CSE, the placement is 100% in every IIT , NIT and IIIT's. 2. You do not get time for coding and if you do not know coding at all, you won't get placed (completely wrong) My friend is in IIT Bombay who is doing his MTech and has offers from companies like Adobe and when he entered into IIT, he just knew basics of C programming which is asked in GATE. 3. You will be left alone in IIT if you are a MTech guy and you won't have friends. WTF? How can you say even this man, I have seen so many people who have made such a good network and lifetime friend in their MTech journey and the reason being almost every person in MTech is determined towards his career and you have a very healthy competitive atmosphere around you. 4. Lastly, I myself have cracked GATE 2021 while being in 3rd year with an AIR of 2338. Currently I am in my final year and I have a placement offers from Cisco, SAP Labs , GeeksforGeeks and 7 other companies. Still I am going to appear in GATE 2022, because I know the value of an IIT tag. I know how life has transformed for a lot of people after entering into IIT through GATE. I know that am still very far away from companies like Google or Microsoft and the IIT tag will act as a catalyst for me to reach these companies. Please don't misguide people. Thanks :)

I want to give Gate because I want to work for a PSU I dreamed to work from childhood. Also the preparation itself will make me one of the best engineer. IIT Mtech placement is just my safety net
Always prefer Mtech over PSUs if you're CS student. In PSU, you'll learn nothing, in Mtech, you'll learn hell lot of thing plus will get a lifetime experience. I'm working in a PSU and I regret my decision of not going for Mtech as I had a decent gate rank (AIR 591)
btech students do coursework in IIT while mtech students do specialization in IIT........yahi pe competition khatam btech students came into top IIT by clearing subjects which are never used in CS branch except few topics but mtech students came into top IIT by clearing all the core subjects.....so at any point of time metch student will have more technical knowledge also btech student can never compete with a mtech student in terms of project bhai tu bas coding padha yrr.....zabardasti har field me ungli karna content ke liye acha nahi hai

Harry bhai... I'm doing a job for 1.5 months. During this period the gave me about 8-10 language. But I am only familiar with python and Django which company doesn't work with. The work pressure comes more as the language I am know nothing about. And they are continuously changing the language and framework not making me settle. What should I do? I'm thinking about to quit that job and search a job which I may comfortable with.

Becoz coding and building project takes time....many many big competitive programmers are shit in projects...can't code a single project...they might be red in codeforces 6star in codechef...but they can't make a simple project...Project is very different in terms of coding...you need to practice it really hard to earn this skill...project making and competitive coding is very different...many people I've seen who think doing competitive coding helps you become an expert in project🤣🤣 Project making takes way more time and effort than any other coding...
Go with some RUclips vids for basic project and try replicate them ... You will there is high difference between coding and project making ... You will come to know different pre build framework.

I have prepared for GATE 2021 and cleared it also with 8K rank by investing my 1.5 years and i missed my placements at College in 2020 and searching for the job opportunity , the reason behind most of the GATE aspirants is very well explained by Sir Harry! . Due to fear of placements I started preparing for GRE and keep telling everyone to that I am not interested in placement and all I am going to pursue MS. Fortunately due to some reasons I decided to face placement drives and I am happy to tell u all that I got placed in good IT company with very good package (better than avg freshers package). So point is that u should not fear placement even if u are not prepared well. 1-2 months dedicated smart work with proper resume is enough to get decent job in indian IT industry, if u want good company and package then more efforts required. So I completely agree with Harry bhai. Don't run behind any IIT tag and all due to fear of placements drives . Best of luck everyone 👍
Not having a backup plan is worst mistake...I was preparing for 2021 from July 2020 I was too much confident about it so I refuse to sit for all my on-campus as well as off campus placements and after gate result my whole world turns upside down after the huge failure I didn't have any backup that time I don't know what to do know, then after 8 months I sat for my first placement and till this week got rejected from 9 companies and finally placed in Indian MNC

I agree with all your statements, when a friend gets placed and you don't just by 1 mark difference. The 1 mark gained by your friend in coding round, when he just copy pastes from online website. P.S. - No camera was there for that online recruitment test. Other anti-cheating measures was taken by that company. Myself is the one who have limited access to placements due to poor marks in class 12 than in B.Tech|(65% above)

One of interdisciplinary branch (NON-CSE) at IITD had almost 100% placement that too with average of 14-15 LPA in INDIA. Its a good start for Mtechs as well as for Btech guys too and i think if it is not respectable salary then not a bad salary too. By NON-CSE I mean non-circuital branch

Perfect answer. Chemistry has nothing to do with cse, physics is also used very rarely and math is also not of that hard level for developers. If u have cracked gate in cse it means u have good understanding of basics and u can build logics.

Most of the companies visiting iits and nits have separate vacancies for graduate as well as post graduate students so it is not always you have to compete with btech students. Even mtech mechanical guys get placed into software companies!

I did get placed in my BTech but it wasn't what I was expecting coming from 3rd tier college we didn't had opportunities of FAANG. I gave gate to get that opportunity and got it as well and most of us give gate to get that opportunity.

The motivation behind the video maybe right but it lacks quite some perspective.
Ofcourse getting into IITs doesn't guarantee anything. You should get into IITs for the opportunities , environment and excellent peers you will meet there.
Ofcourse you will have to compete against BTech guys , but you will be competing for better positions also.
I cherish my MTECH days at IIT and would anyday advice for it unless one is damn sure of what they want to do.

Regarding placement and package, no college guaranties a good package... One of my cousin has completed his b tech from IIT patna in cse and still he is placed at 11lpa which is very low as compared to the college he was studying... I have seen tier 2,3 guys getting placed at 15lpa+ it's not too rare to see them... So it's not college that gives placement it's your hardwork that lands you a job.. And IIT's will provide us those opportunities so it's totally worth it to go for m tech

I respect you a lot but a lot of points mentioned in this video are completely wrong such as:
1. The placement opportunities in MTech are very less as compared to BTech candidates. Very wrong!
Almost every company treats MTech and BTech as equivalent when they visit IIT's. Especially for MTech CSE, the placement is 100% in every IIT , NIT and IIIT's.
2. You do not get time for coding and if you do not know coding at all, you won't get placed (completely wrong)
My friend is in IIT Bombay who is doing his MTech and has offers from companies like Adobe and when he entered into IIT, he just knew basics of C programming which is asked in GATE.
3. You will be left alone in IIT if you are a MTech guy and you won't have friends. WTF?
How can you say even this man, I have seen so many people who have made such a good network and lifetime friend in their MTech journey and the reason being almost every person in MTech is determined towards his career and you have a very healthy competitive atmosphere around you.
4. Lastly, I myself have cracked GATE 2021 while being in 3rd year with an AIR of 2338.
Currently I am in my final year and I have a placement offers from Cisco, SAP Labs , GeeksforGeeks and 7 other companies.
Still I am going to appear in GATE 2022, because I know the value of an IIT tag. I know how life has transformed for a lot of people after entering into IIT through GATE. I know that am still very far away from companies like Google or Microsoft and the IIT tag will act as a catalyst for me to reach these companies.

I want to give Gate because I want to work for a PSU I dreamed to work from childhood. Also the preparation itself will make me one of the best engineer. IIT Mtech placement is just my safety net
Now I am fully clear that I have to prepare for gate solely in this year ,think of other exams post 3rd year.
Always prefer Mtech over PSUs if you're CS student. In PSU, you'll learn nothing, in Mtech, you'll learn hell lot of thing plus will get a lifetime experience.
I'm working in a PSU and I regret my decision of not going for Mtech as I had a decent gate rank (AIR 591)

During this period the gave me about 8-10 language.
But I am only familiar with python and Django which company doesn't work with.
The work pressure comes more as the language I am know nothing about.
And they are continuously changing the language and framework not making me settle.

I have prepared for GATE 2021 and cleared it also with 8K rank by investing my 1.5 years and i missed my placements at College in 2020 and searching for the job opportunity , the reason behind most of the GATE aspirants is very well explained by Sir Harry! . ONe of the biggest reason of such events could possibly the Coachings who tries to washing brain of students at large scale for the growth of their own business.

Due to fear of placements I started preparing for GRE and keep telling everyone to that I am not interested in placement and all I am going to pursue MS. Fortunately due to some reasons I decided to face placement drives and I am happy to tell u all that I got placed in good IT company with very good package (better than avg freshers package). So point is that u should not fear placement even if u are not prepared well. 1-2 months dedicated smart work with proper resume is enough to get decent job in indian IT industry, if u want good company and package then more efforts required. So I completely agree with Harry bhai. Don't run behind any IIT tag and all due to fear of placements drives . Best of luck everyone 👍

Not having a backup plan is worst mistake...I was preparing for 2021 from July 2020 I was too much confident about it so I refuse to sit for all my on-campus as well as off campus placements and after gate result my whole world turns upside down after the huge failure I didn't have any backup that time I don't know what to do know, then after 8 months I sat for my first placement and till this week got rejected from 9 companies and finally placed in Indian MNC

P.S. - No camera was there for that online recruitment test. Other anti-cheating measures was taken by that company.

See Bro at the end we are here for making money without money We can't survive this is just shit when we say we have our some goals other than making money , you me and each and every person on this earth know it. IIT it is just lift to get high paying companies and if you are from basic college with basic degree then no need to worry you just need some extra year and good preparation in good technology and boom you will also got 8 to 12 lakh package in your third or fourth year of experience

Everyone eventually works hard in college. the vibe is totally different there u will automatically work seeing your peers.Harry does not have proper knowledge of mtech cs placements its 200% better than btech non cs iitans and even better than btech cs guys in many case

One of interdisciplinary branch (NON-CSE) at IITD had almost 100% placement that too with average of 14-15 LPA in INDIA. Its a good start for Mtechs as well as for Btech guys too and i think if it is not respectable salary then not a bad salary too. By NON-CSE I mean non-circuital branch
