@@gerdahelde6957 adoption is amazing however after the age of 8 children are less likely to be adopted and more likely to grow up in the foster care system . they then more likely to become homeless after aging out at 18 or turning to drugs and gangs to feel like they are part of something. As hard as it is to accept an older child they need it so much.
Coming for experience I grew up in the system.

Adopting any child is a blessing in itself. She can adopt any child she chooses to.
np I graduated with a person who was in foster care until he was 18
I would say, however, that it is difficult to retrain an older child to be accustomed to your lifestyle, while also trying to raise your younger child who will be influenced by an older sibling's bad habits. My aunt does foster care, and every time she gets a new kid that's older than the others, the younger ones start misbehaving and getting influenced by the older one's bad habits and temper.
Then again, that's just my experience with foster kids, (they usually come from troubled homes) idk if adopting is different.
I think I’d want to adopt an older child just because I’m not married and I think since babies are more likely to be adopted they should have a chance to have both parents.

MOM NOTE : when my son was pooping alot we found out that he had a food allergy and that was a sign so you may want to see if he has a food allergy. ( I never thought pooping alot was weird for a baby 🤷 but I wanted to pass it on )

Right! My brother and his wife have fertility issues and have had so many cycles of IVF without success and are losing hope. At EVERY single family gathering, all they hear is "When are you going to have kids?" or "Your mum wants more Grandkids, your sister's done her bit now you get on it!" and it breaks their hearts every time.
