You are allowed to drink beer and not those "hard" things when you are 16. And you can drink like Vodka or Rum when you are 18.
You're allowed to drink beer, wine and sparkling wine at 14 (with your parents) and at 16 w/o them. At 18 you're allowed to drink cocktails with liquor and pure liquor.
