I recently dislocated my shoulder while doing this at a major tourist place. My personal experience is to not indulge in any of such adventure/extreme sport in a corruption ridden place (you know what I mean) Because these guys most probably get license after bribing the officials. Then to over come that bribing amount they start cost cutting on equipments/ safety equipments. For example when I dislocated my shoulder, they didn't had first aid or ambulance service in that place. My friend only booked a cab to hospital. Free advise take it or leave it. Don't do it just for some adrenaline rush or insta or FB pics. I learnt it in a painful way, the thought of that experience gives my chills. Stay safe guys.

I personally think any adventure sport in India is stupidity...say for example white water rafting near Rishikesh..one can literally die bcoz of lack of safety precautions. But when I dislocated my right shoulder joint and the bone moved out of its socket it pulled my trapezius muscle to the right which made my neck stuck at 45 degrees to the right. So I was basically holding my right hand at 90 degrees with my left hand and my neck at 45°. Now I was in so much pain that I don't have the idea of time, but approx it took almost 2 hrs from the spot and to the hospital (travelling and treatment time included), each bump and speed breaker jerk on our roads sent shock waves through my body, somehow reached the hospital the doctor did xray and then pulled the bone back to its socket. The pain was extreme for me, so they gave me pain killer shots and tied and rested my hand to neck and asked to keep it like that for a month for the muscle to reconstruct. Now think of the situation, my frnd's carried me to the hospital, some strangers also helped, to whom I still thank. Holiday was ruined in a way, the stay was extended, coz doctor asked me to not to travel for atleast 2 days. Then we somehow came back home, and applied for 10 days leave in ofc coz I couldn't work with one hand. So now when I calculated, it was hospital charges & medicine charges+ extended hotel stay and food charges + wasted leaves of extra 10 days which I could have used somewhr else + ruined holiday for me and my frnd which I still feel guilty for. So all together it was expensive for me on my life and pocket. Now you may say "bhai zindagi mein itna risk bhi na liya toh kya kiya" again may be I'm not as brave as you but I don't want to end up again with a dangling hand in the middle of the ocean. My experience was not a near death experience but as a middle class, service class person, zindagi mein itna risk kaafi laga mereko, and specially when I see people falling from sky parasailing and paragliding every now and then on RUclips, I think I have learnt my lesson.🙏

Life saving jacket is a safety mechanism but to ensure that incidents doesn't even happen they should ensure roap quality & condition. If instead of landing in waters they land on some boat or land.
Paragliding, bungee jumping etc come with a risk factor and accidents do happened even in the best maintained part of the worlds. In this case the paragliding is done in sea so the loss of life or injury is at minimum risk.

Something like this happened with me in Malvan when I was in middle of sea and all of sudden the boat engine stopped and myself and the tandem instructor both capsized into the water but since i knew swimming it was good plus everything including life jacket was in place so all good.
When rape and murder cases takes 1-2 decades of time for resolution in India, what can you expect for such incidents. Police will not register FIR at first, the couple will have to travel from their home town to place of incident police station/ court again and again. They will be harrassed. Justice delayed is justice denied.

There is a difference between being adventurous and being reckless....taking all the safety precautions is the ABCs of any adventurous activity, which is the point of wearing life vests and safety cords. When you take part in any adventurous activity, making sure that the safety equipments are of good quality and well maintained, is of utmost importance. You are not wearing life vests or safety cords for appearance, so is their any point in wearing them if they are worn out and disintegrating? Especially in beach and ocean related activities, salt water and the air there is extremely corrosive. If you clearly see that the equipments are frail, don't ever take reckless risk with such disintegrating beach adventure sports equipments
it is not the duty of the customer to check equipment for any safety lapses when they usually don't know what to look for. Best don't go and if you go don't expect much.
Here in India people bring techs and accesories all those new stuffs for new adventure, but they don't want to maintain , just for cost cutting and carelessness.

In India there is no meaning of any testing certificate. Things get tested only on paper, no actual test such as load test in this case. You pay the fee and get the certificate, no actual test. This is true for all kinds of machines and personal protective equipment.

In birbiling ii had a crash landing and up to two years I drove my car by sitting on a tube ,it's hell like experience

When you take part in any adventurous activity, making sure that the safety equipments are of good quality and well maintained, is of utmost importance. You are not wearing life vests or safety cords for appearance, so is their any point in wearing them if they are worn out and disintegrating? Especially in beach and ocean related activities, salt water and the air there is extremely corrosive. If you clearly see that the equipments are frail, don't ever take reckless risk with such disintegrating beach adventure sports equipments
it is not the duty of the customer to check equipment for any safety lapses when they usually don't know what to look for. Best don't go and if you go don't expect much.
That happened due to low quality check by the management.

Here in India people bring techs and accesories all those new stuffs for new adventure, but they don't want to maintain , just for cost cutting and carelessness.

I don't know what idea you have about sport. We call these kind of situation "compilation". In my country broadcasted as entertainment. Called "funny home video". Yes we laugh at it. You have people in all kind of funny situation of all ages. Collected from the whole world. See also compilation uploads on RUclips. Its known over the whole world that a part of indians are scary people. They see things that aren't there.

In India there is no meaning of any testing certificate. Things get tested only on paper, no actual test such as load test in this case. You pay the fee and get the certificate, no actual test. This is true for all kinds of machines and personal protective equipment.
