One of his most underrated songs. This one and She don't me. Early Bon Jovi. Saw them in 85 at joe louis arena in Detroit. Believe it or not They opened for Ratt.

In a couple interviews I saw, Jon said that he didn't like 'she don't know me' b/c it was a studio song that they made him put on his 1st album & that's why he rarely, if ever, played it at concerts. Did anyone else see/hear the same?

    • @aprilschumann3162
      @aprilschumann3162 5 лет назад

Phuck Zuck it’s the only song that they didn’t write. It was forced on them. They all hate that song and said they would never play it again.

I come back and listen to this stuff about once a year. for those of u unlucky enough to not be like 18 when this music was happening i feel sorry for u. u will never really underestand how awesome the 80s really were!!! WiWith the birth of MTV the 80s bands exploded. many were just a flash in the pan. Bon jovi obviously was not one of them.To last as long as they have u truly must be amazing. weather u appreciate what there doing now is irrelevant. they grew up. they evolved and changed with the times like u have to to survive. these songs and these shows were epic!!! they will never be recreated. U have to understand that as a guy going to these shows would have u surrounded with a multitude of the hottest chicks on the face of the planet!!!

There's a reason why they have lasted as long as they have. They don't get half the credit they deserve for their work in music. Plus as one guy i saw giving a review of a video said he was surprised by the stadium being full of people. He said most rock bands , even the great ones can't do that in those genres

David Bryan is an amazing Keyboardist, he brings so much to Bon Jovi songs. Jon and David together are pure magic but then they have been playing together since HS days, the magic still goes on. Jon also wrote this song, a brilliant song writer as well as one of the best singers ever. ♥

I'm going to keep this up on my phone for awhile to use it to pray for Bon Jovi. It's just really not that easy being out on tour right now. Torn between money or not play because of the pandemic. It's just really sad 😭. How many people grew up on music? We can give a dollar or 2 for the latest war or storms victims but we can't give live music venues the very same help? It's just really really sad 😭.

Wow. He looks young to me now. Back then he looked old to me. I didn't go to any concerts cause I thought is was too pop compared to the music I was used to. I knew him in the 90's when he had a whole new look.

Would you be content to see me crying
After all those little games you put me through
After all I've done for you you're lying
Wouldn't it be nice to tell the truth
    Didn't somebody somewhere say
    You're gonna take a fall
    I gave you everything
    Now here's the curtain call
    [Chorus:]
Shot through the heart as I lay there alone
In the dark through the heart
It's all part of this game that we call love
Now you've come back here to say you're sorry
But I don't know who you're talking to
It could be the man I used to be, girl
But I've grown up and now I'm over you
Standing there just a live wire
    With nowhere left to turn
You were gonna set the world on fire
    When will you ever learn?
    [Chorus]
    Didn't somebody somewhere say
    You're gonna take a fall
    I gave you everything
    Now here's the curtain call
    And I'm shot...
    Baby does what baby please
And baby must have what she sees
But not this time, the tables turned
    Baby, you just got burned
    [Chorus]

I rember Richie Sambora was the best guitarist throughout the 80's into the 90's he won guitarist of year but being a huge Bon Jovi fan he's still one of my favorite guitarist today this band was so huge back they didn't even know what hit them as we didn't know what hit us but we loved it and wanted more of it and today at 60 years old our favorite band of the 80's is still going that says it all they are as Jon says the heavyweight champion of the world and that's a fact

Did you listened to much 80s music? I'm not saying hes a bad player at all, but best/ one of the best of the 80's ??? I can think of a hundred more iconic guitarist of the 80's and 90's.

@@awesomebeard1973 it's matter of opinion and yes as a guitarist myself I appreciate not just fast licks and tricks but the ability to capture the listeners heart and soul if we talking licks and tricks then Steve Vai
