- So as a first introduction to The Pineapple Thief... this was amazing. It is so reminiscent of PT (obviously because of Gavin) but the vocalist sounds just like Steven! It's crazy... now I have another whole ass band to fall in to the rabbit hole into. Here we go!

The Pineapple Thief is a musical journey of beauty and sadness. I love their music. I saw them in Atlanta before the lockdown. Just an amazing show.
I believe this show was from 2018. I saw them in 2019 on the Dissolution tour.
His voice reminds me of Thom Yorke (Radiohead) singing like Steven Wilson.
Dude I can't wait to dive into more from them! It's like discovering a new version of a favorite band haha I love it. I bet that show was dope bro.

This is a great song. So is White Mist. This sounds like Porcupine Tree meets Anathema.
I've never heard Anathema so I wouldn't know lol but I will definitely check them out now
Apologies if you already know but the drummer Gavin Harrison is in Porcupine Tree and is also in the recent incarnation of King Crimson. 👌🔥
TPT recommendations: Pre GH - still "All the Wars", with GH: um "Your Wilderness". The 1st tracks on each are awesome. Warning: both are earworms - the riffs, melodies will stay in your head for days

if you enjoyed Porcupine Tree, The Pineapple Thief, Opeth and Pain of Salvation, you should try polish band Riverside! "Left Out", "Escalator shrine", "Second Life Syndrome" and "The Same River" extremely good tracks to start.

Man, check out The Pineapple Thief - Tear You Up but the Vic Firth video of Gavin playing it, the verse goes from 7/4 to 5/4 like butter, didn't realize till someone pointed it out in the comments

This was my first ever Pineapple Thief gig! I'm so lucky it was captured for a blu-ray release. The show was so good. You should check out Our Mire - ruclips.net/video/fXK3bTcUDOs/видео.html - They were supposed to be touring the new album in 2020 and then we all know what happened. So they recorded a gig and put it out as pay per view and then later as a blu-ray release. On the boxset I have, there's also a drum cam of the entire show which is amazing!

As you've seen and heard, TPY is absolutely great live, and it's a gas to experience Gavin's drumming in smaller venues. I've been fortunate to see them twice (and counting). Can't wait for them to return to the States.

For me there's a (very important) difference between PT (Porcupine Tree) and PT (Pineapple Thief): From Porcupine tree, i usually prefer live versions (or at least they're just as good), from Pineapple thief, i ALWAYS prefer the Studio versions. They are just not as good live (to me). But the albums are fantastic!
That's such an interesting irony. I will have to check out the studio version of this song and hear the difference 👌 because this was great!
