An extra 1-200ms without power delivery every single up-shify adds up over the course of a lap. I wouldnt be surprised if the differences hit 3-5 seconds just because it gets more power to the ground.
The point is the fact that after the break in period that redline will move way above the point he shifted. It isn't necessarily going to hurt anything seeing as how the car was definitely warmed up.🤦♀️
If you're really really fortunate, you still only get to be one of the first owners of the first mid-engine Corvette once. Plus it will probably be traded in about a year for a Z06.

There is nothing more exciting than watching your new car come off the truck, no matter what car it is, then getting to drive it home. Pure excitement.

First off, im a huge corvette fan. I bought a c5 and found this channel. When I saw the c8 being prototyped I was so hyped. Then I saw this video of you and TJ picking up some of the first c8 corvettes and I just thought "man ill never get to experience what they're experiencing. How incredible would that feeling be" That made me work harder and smarter and start my path. I moved up at work and paid off all debts and saved a bunch. Last month, I got my c8. What an awesome feeling getting to see this car every day.

I believe it redlines at 6500 and it wasn't letting him rev above 3500 so I think it's pretty youtuber proof
