Honesty i really like how you've elaborated everything in this video,,,I need to support again this part you said "As long as you get a good man/woman go for it,love doesn't choose colour"
Very good insights! On the part of being "harassed" in public places by Kenyan men, let me offer a different perspective. In most African cultures and moreso Kenya's, men are socialised to be the "hunters" and they'll approach a lady without hesitation. The "harassment" part is being flirtitious and a skill deeply imbedded in men that it's like a sport 😂 Most see that public pursuing of girls as a good natured compliment and any rebuff is respected and a positive respronse well cherished. If you're exotic, you'll attract the most attention not for anything serious but just for bragging rights. Not forgetting that African men are polygamous wired, the wide casting of the net in the dating pool is a skill well nurtured by most.
Thanks for the perspective! Most of the time it’s indeed this way - which is usually very fun! But when I say harassment I mean actual harassment - grabbing me, calling me a white b*tch, using their position to get into intimate situations with me, etc. This is not limited to “exotic women” but experienced by Kenyans alike - there’s news of Bolt kidnappings and doctors assaulting their female patients.
@@ainoluo If that's the case then that's raw sexual harassment liable to prosecution! Don't tolerate such acts...doing so gives them a free pass to repeat or escalate. I think the once amiable cultural social values have morphed into something monstrous hence these many cases such as bolt's etc.
Being a „hunter“ and harassing ladies are two different things am Kenyan but thats no excuse for such behavior and polygamy or wateva has nothing to do with it it’s just horrible.
@@ainoluo woop woop 🥳 That's a great idea. I'm planning my escape and your videos are so helpful. This one, Moving Abroad in Your 30s and 5 Steps to Prototype Your Life Abroad are particularly timely and helpful to know how to meet people and build your community!
Very interesting. My only experience with and African man is with a Nigerian man . And only one Nigerian man , who is now my husband . I have not dated any other African men ( not even when I was in my country, because I left my country at a young age to go to Japan ) . I actually met him in a dance club when I was 27. I have never been on any dating sites . I’ve not yet experienced any discrimination or rude comments from anyone regarding my relationship. I’m also a white female (43) . I met him in Japan . It is hard dating Japanese men as a foreign woman in Japan because they don’t really approach us . So I opened my mind to other possibilities and met a Nigerian man ! And now I’m in Lagos !
I’ve hear that Japan and Korea are indeed really hard for dating as a foreigner! It was a bit similar in China but I was used to it as Finnish men also rarely approach women lol. I’m so happy you and your partner haven’t had to experience any negative comments! To be honest I thought those types of attitudes were left to the last century :(
I would like to date a foreign woman to learn their culture but the one's I met in Westlands are visiting, hopefully I'll get some who live in Nairobi and date them!
Three tips: 1. Keep your heart open to anyone regardless of their background - I totally get your curiosity towards other cultures but the right person might be the neighbourhood girl :) 2. I recommend just making friends with the types of people you want to be around, men and women, as this way you’ll learn about different cultures and of course one of these new friends might become a girlfriend. 3. Many foreigners don’t stay in Nairobi that long. Even if they’re not tourists, they might just be here for couple years to work. That’s one of the downsides of having international circles - someone eventually leaves. :(
Hey! I do have a video on how I started learning Swahili vocabulary 😊 My next step will probably be to learn vocab in the context of sentences and stories with an app called LingQ.
I would ask you what does her skin color matter in the way you approach her? There are some cultural differences in how courting usually works but just knowing someone’s skin color doesn’t really give me an idea of their cultural background (Latin American, North American, West/North/East/South European, Russian, etc.) nor their individual beliefs and preferences (religion, values, etc.).
This is a rather ridiculous question, what you might realize is that youre fetishizing white women, youre not intrested in the individual but rather their race and what social perks it can afford you. The reason you got snubbbed is most likey because they could see beyond the veil you put forward. I would recommend being introspective asking why you desire white women as opposed to a life partner iregardless of race.

How would you advice me to approach a white lady that I like. I've tried it afew times and got snubbed. Then we can say once beaten twice shy
