Hollow Zero js meant to be endgame content to challenge you in all aspects. One mistake can ruin the entire run if you go in careless. Why on earth would you want to be farming discs in hollow zero? It's just dumb to implement disc farming like that, which is exactly why they didn't in the first place because they know that discs shouldnt be something too tiring to earn and should be something you can passively earn or directly farm to further push your agents to the max. Hollow zero will be updated with more stages as the game progresses, which adds more variety in gameplay mechanics, and even better rewards.
Counterpoint: Divergent universe came out recently, whereas this videogame has been in development for a long while, thus making it less than possible to immediately change one of the game's core mechanic (game mode in this case) to something else resembling more modern hsr did. The dev may have thought about it, and maybe they will implement it the same way as we have stimulated universe THEN divergent universe. But in my book, this game is good for the combat mechanics and more combat is always fine for me.

And Hollow Zero is even more doable than Shiyu Defense on mid-game progress (starts from IK 30) , when you just need a single ready-to-go team compared to 2 teams at minimum on Shiyu Defense. Oh, and I always consider Drive Disk more as Stigmata in HI3, but free and farmable.
I kinda like the longer gameplay cus most missions feel sometimes too quick ( might be just me ) honestly I would like longer events with more then just 6 stages + another 6 with higher difficulty. Hollow zero seems to be like a set of different endgames like we will see more bosses and things
Nah you kinda right, but I want longer combat missions and shorter tv missions. Brain-teaser puzzles short and sweet, and arcade mode combat to hone the skills
Idk why it is the same as genshin. We have history to compare vs honkai star rail and why some QoL in hsr is not being implemented in zzz. Hollow zero is just a weekly event that gives the pulls but requires you to do certain things like buy stuff from merchant or kill elite mobs. They literally have divergent universe which just need to complete one run and thats it for the week. They did reduce the amount of time you have to do to get the max reward so i guess thats ok but still not really fixing much. I know the game is new and need time to mature like hsr just weird that they have examples but still makes the same mistakes.
Yeah, this is why they say old habits die hard. I think they'll fix it fairly quickly though, they seem pretty motivated to make the game more palatable to a broader audience.
@positivelyno ya I do see a lot of improvements like the fast forward is now faster a bit and does not need to keep repressing it after dialogue and the hold f got change to mouse cursor instead of moving mouse in a direction. The animation in the story is now slower a bit and is easier to watch. So they are taking feedback at least sadly the tv part is either you hate it or you are ok with it so not sure what they can do about that. I just did all the shiryu defence s rank and damn the new one is hard. My characters get two shoted if I'm not paying attention. Combat seems to be getter harder but not too hard to the point that you need max character to beat which for me is good.
Hollow Zero is worth playing, because it's some of the only regular gameplay other than Notorious Hunt and your daily farming. ZZZ has a big demand for gameplay once you complete all available story and side missions, and Hollow Zero helps with that, and is pretty fun.
Hollow zero isnt really meant for disk drive farms (i dont think you can get disk drives in the first place) it was more to satisfy the needs of the players who got bored easily.
You guys are missing out. You can farm Z merits from hollow zero. 150 a run, quit after you get 120 from floor 2. You can then turn them in for Dennie’s. Usually about 250k a week can be earned fairly quickly and saves you from having to ever use energy on Dennie’s
I just do Hollow0 6 times per week to buy all the shop +unlimited denny at this point (6 times is the maximum times you can get the currency to buy the shop

Its kindda great that hollow zero dont gives their own disc, cause hollow zero feels like a longer SU, and with how different this disc works to relic( every set have 6 pcs instead of 4+2 pcs), hollow zero really shouldn't have that kind of RNG to time sink. It is kindda odd tho, cause the main reason you do hollow zero is for the weeklies . other than that its to farm the currency for denny and bangoopon etc unless you really like hollow zero. And they reduce the amount of runs you need to cap the currency. They did add inferno reap, but i think they should turn that into a weeklies. It carries over the DU's save slot, why not carry over the weeklies too, it makes you wanna do hollow zero more to do inferno reap, increasing the play time and you get more rewards
Bro hollow zero is optimal and not pointless. You get rewards (polychromes weekly and materials) from it... and it would be weird to grind that for discs. It also gives people a mode to just have fun and play with their agents with resonia
The game is new, there's plenty rewards, and you don't want to run out of things to do early. Maybe later they optimize it to be quicker or shorter, but for now I appreciate the bunch of fights.
it's already quick and short... you only need to do 2 runs and 6 if you really wanna hardcore cap the merits. maybe you weren't informed but it was optimized this patch
you dont have to just play hollow zero for rewards or an objective, just play it for fun man, make a crazy build, do a challenge run where you have to get max corruptions as much as possible. not every single second you spend has to be productive.

Idk, man, i enjoy Hollow Zero. You can say it's pointless, but it's still fun to run. Plus, the rewards and new card combos make it replayable. I've found 77% or so of all cards and hidden pieces so far. It feels like one of the most replayable parts of the game.
I've finished all of Hollow Zero except the new THRONE thing because the difficulty is just bs....they need to drop a new survey so everyone can let them know that the difficulty curve for this new update is like a sheer cliff.....

Hollow zero is for getting polychromes... There's literally a 3 task that reset every week. It's just like annihilation operation in Arknights.
At least you can auto annihilation once you reach 400 kill perfection… not so much with Hollow zero 😭
