Hokay lemme try at deciphering this: Derek takes an evening train with a rebuilt engine to fix his overheating problems. As he hooks up Edward asks if he is excited and settling in well, he says yes and that he is excited to see Sodor past the hill for the first time before setting off, not seeing Edward's concerned stare. Derek makes it to Gordon's Hill with no issues, and starts to climb, his engine straining with the weight of the coaches, but slowly, he makes it to the top and continues without breaking down. He makes it to Maron and introduces himself to Stepney for the first time, asking questions about Maron before he asks where an older stretch of line goes. Stepney doesn't know, he once saw Edward and Mavis go down there, but whenever he asked about what was down there the other engines would fall silent and refuse to answer. Derek senses something is off and with his train finished, he decides to investigate. Stepney, through concern and curiosity follows him, both not noticing the concerned looks of the others. Derek and Stepney follow down the overgrown tracks, anxiety filling the pair as they begin to doubt their decision, but they persevere, and come to Old Maron. They stop in horror as they see the mangled remains of many an engine strewn about the sidings, moving forward as they try to make sense of the scene. SOme engines they know, others they don't. The scene terrifies them and they back away as fast as they can, trying to leave. Back at Maron, Henry shows up, telling them that they were warned not to go down there. Derek asks what that was, to which Henry replies that the engines were killed over the years, though they can't be sure by who. The engines in the siding are taken there when found to be cut up for scrap. Derek and Stepney are disturbed by the explanation and leave in sorrow and horror. Henry sighs, thinking that his reaction was much the same whenhe first heard the news, and goes back to work. Nearby, Edward stalks in one of the sidings, making sure he wasn't seen or followed. Satisfied no-one was suspicious of him, he sneaks back away, leaving the mangled remains of Mavis in the hidden siding for someone else to find. Probably wrong but hey.
Ding Ding Ding! You're correct moreorless, just not about the other engines knowing. What if Derek and Stepney were the first to break the threshold? What if it was partially something supernatural tied to the island that only one of the oldest residents could know about...? But yeah! Great job!
@@sotherhamstation In that case, I'd assume from the ending that it involves Lady somehow (Been a lot of "Evil Lady" stuff lately I've noticed, same braincell I guess). But it does beg the question, are the dead engines Lady's sacrifices, or her victims?

The absence of dialogue was a little jarring at first, but omg HAL! I eventually loved the way you told this story, using music to insinuate tones and setting, amazing. Please keep it up!
My theory is that Edward simply lures engines to old maron and basicially kills them. That would explain what happend to mavis but that’s just a theory

But why are there 2 Maron stations?
@@sotherhamstationso old maron was replaced by the current maron station? And if so how long was it closed down?

It just doesn't feel like a Thomas story without Mr. Conductor narrating
So all our dead friends seem to be:
Molly
Rosie
Oliver
Spencer
Wilbert
Stanley
Toby
Mavis
Gordon (why does this always happen to him)
And Truro too

Oh geez.... That is amazing and yet terrifying. I say this because I'm still not used to Evil!Edward XD
Looks like Edward has the darkness of Wilbert Awdry in him saying (NO MORE NEW ENGINES!!!)
What happened to all the engines at Great Waterton? Why does Edward look evil? What is the plot? I have so many questions.
It's old maron, something from the RWS, the plot is something you gotta try to piece together lol.
What's Spencer of all engines, doing in *Old Maron!?* And *Wilbert the Forest Engine!?*
