Just came across your YT video when I did a search. So glad I found you on here. I've had a 2024 Sequoia Platinum for 3 days and haven't been able to open the power back door. Was planning to take it back to the dealership tomorrow to have them fix the issue. Was thinking it was malfunctioning. I tried pressing the button overhead like you demonstrated and the dash asked a question whether I wanted to turn on the back power door. It was preset to NO so I changed to YES and now it works perfectly. I never knew there was an overhead button to control it. LOL. Had tried with the key and button on the rear door itself.

All valid points, however, sometimes something actually is broken. Our 23 Platinum now just double beeps every time you try to close it (using the rear button or the remote). Doors locked, doors unlocked, doors all closed, driver door open, rear glass is fully latched, so on and so forth. If I turn the PBD OFF and then ON again, the close feature works 1 time, then goes back to double beeping. Making an appointment now. Found some posts online suggesting a bad “pinch sensor” can cause this, not sure where that is located exactly but we’ll see how it goes.

Hello Steven, thanks for posting this piece on the hatchback. I have a 23 Capstone and my decend funtion just went out. I bring it in on tomorrow to have them look at it. One of my seat functions(Captain chair, support under the knees) is out as well.

Where did you get the cargo mats?

I believe maybe there is another reason it will not shut something about a pinch sensor?
