The AIOC does do Chirp programming but it also acts as a sound card. I actually use mine for Direwolf to set up an APRS IGate. I have a portable IGate that I can carry with me on trips. I connect the laptop to my phone. Laptop runs Direwolf and then it acts as an Igate via the Baofeng for my APRS radio (FTM-400). The Baofeng is keyed via the sound card (CM108). The CM108 keys the Baofeng quite well and is a setting in the Direwolf config.
OH MY.
I've been having issues with those cheap Vox cables, maybe this is the solution.
Any ground loop issues with the USB connector and these things?
I'm from the US, and I'd be interested in a fully-built board, maybe even two.
I may not be the most technically proficient person out there, but I can think of so many uses for these boards. Being able to send APRS packets through a cheap Baofeng is cool enough on its own.
well done 50k members love ya channel and content you make things simple to understand for non hams like myself
Thanks mate, I really appreciate hearing that
I'm glad I got in early!😊
I don't have a 3D printer but will ask a mate of mine to print up a few.👍
This might be cool with the uvk5 dock software. 🎉
Indeed... Hayden did a video not long ago doing just that ;)
In the US and would love to buy a couple. I think Ham Radio Dude had these for sale in the states on his website for a while. They were sold out before I had a chance to pick one up and he didn't restock. Like other commenters had stated this would be great to have for APRS on a budget HT.
Yep, they were only like 9 bucks! Cheers!
Interesting little circuit
W1BTR - Lucas, is the Guy here in the US thats pushing the AIOC and he is way behind on his orders...it'd be nice to see better availability for them. 73 Hayden!! Danny NF4J
I would be interested in a couple of these for sure. In the USA.
Out of stock already, will bang in an order when available. Will use with the UV-K58 Dock app.
More on the way!
Hi Hayden,
This is a really awesome idea!
I'd like one of these fully built and programmed please, if possible.
I live in New Zealand.
Working on getting some more in stock and international - NZ should be easier from here.
50K almost there!
Nearly!
I’m in Canada and would consider a few of these
Cool noted!
Very interesting board with USB plug. I was wondering if you know anything about a Bluetooth model I can use with my motorcycle helmet. Cheers.
You mentioned that the com port could be used to program the radio. Other than getting the tx and rx of the serial port to where it needs to be on an hf radio could it be used for CAT control
Take my money!! (I've ordered 🙂)
Got it! I got stooged and forgot about the public holiday tomorrow - so I'll make a special trip to the post office on Monday to send out orders.
Great Idea and it looks like a great little board. It really needs a protective case, perhaps one that supports the mini plugs to take the tension off the soldered connections.... I am rather computer illiterate , so I cannot offer any whiz-bang 3D designs.....I bet someone out there can!
There is one on thingaverse.
I might look at getting some made up
I'm here in the US and I'd be interested as well.
HECK YEAH, I WANT ONE!
United States
Assembled and programmed, please.
Just got my license two days ago and would love to have one of these (in the US)
I also have an online store and do quite a bit of domestic and international shipping. I'd be happy to help ship these out for you!
Thanks. Just working with the supplier on getting more ordered
I am from Germany and would be interested into 2 to 3 kits. Would like to use it with my Anytone for VARA FM.
What options do I check on the JLCP site?
I am from the US as well and would love to order a completed board.
Cant wait to order one next pay day
Limited stock available for VK only at the moment
Any idea when you might have stock in the store? Particularly assembled and programmed versions.
Ordered more yesterday - ETA should be a few weeks
You need more 😂
Many more!
USA, All The Way!
Where do we get these in the United States? The website only says available in Australia.
As per I explained in the video - leave a comment if you wish to obtain some overseas and I will look at possible options.
Would this work for the Quansheng UV-K58 to connect to the Dock app and get onboard audio/speakers?
Yes. I have tested that here - ruclips.net/video/vgVocQpSF7s/видео.html
Nice video on how to solder, but WHY DO I WANT THIS BOARD?
When will you have stock again & will you be doing a video on making a aprs digipeater or similar? 73
Ordering more soon. Yes I'll do a video on setting up.
When do you expect to have more in stock Hayden, cheers 7RI
Hey mate, soon. I've just submitted another order in
I’m from the US and have radios this would work with, but am wondering if it could be adapted to work with a Yaesu ht.
You would need a Yaesu style plug with wires pigtail. Then solder the wires from pig tail to appropriate AIOC board pads. So you would not need to use the 2 plugs shown here directly soldered to the pcb.
I'm in the US and would be interested in a fully built board. I would be really interested in using it as a sound card. 73 Hayden
Cool thanks, working on a US supplier!
@Ham Radio DX
Is it possible to create an AllStar node with an AIOC?
There are some issues with Allstar seeing the AIOC as a genuine CM108 - but I think with the latest firmware that is being/will be addressed.
Still being tested - github.com/skuep/AIOC/releases/tag/v1.3.0-rc.1
@@HamRadioDX Sweet !!! Thank You for the prompt response.
currently out of stock....any idea when you will have more Justin
Some more on the way mate
Hi Hayden, please let me know when you ready to ship to South Africa.
Will do! I have no idea how much it would be to ship to South Africa
When you ready, box it and weigh it and I'll pre pay for DHL or whatever shipping company is easier for you. Will confirm quantities when you ready :-)
Hi. Hayden, your shop says, out of stock all ready. You only released the vid 3 hours ago, and it looks like a very popular item. I have subscribed to your email list, will you be notifying subscribers when further boards become available? 73s Lindsey.
Yes mate, they sold out super quick. I've got another batch on order.
I am in the USA and I could use 4 boards.
Will this work for a Kenwood TK-250 ?
Maybe? i think the TK250 version of the K plug only has two connections on the 2.5mm plug
@@phillipsmiley5930 the TK-250 has the standard 2.5 and 3.5 connector
Planning on getting more stock? I'll buy two.
Yes more stock to come
I've been waiting for mine to arrive for a while. :/
Looks nice hope you make loads as out of stock, I am currently Docking my PC to the Q K 5, I made cable works well but this would be the answer I will bring the subject on my local net see if I can get a order for a few for the UK? DE M7SEY 73
Just tried to order an AIOC board, tells me you are out of stock. When will you be getting more in Hayden? 73
Hey mate, yes the sold like hotcakes this morning! I'll be ordering more ASAP.
I wonder about an RJ45 version for mobile radios 🤔
You could solder an RJ45 cable onto the pads on the board. Mobiles use different pinouts whilst most of the chinese handhelds with the K type connector are the same.
My only AIOC had a manufacturing oops; the voltage regulator was not installed. After installing the regulator, it worked once. But no more.
I could use more, and possibly a few spares, so may be interested in ordering some in the US.
Thanks Lee. I’ll look at international options on the next batch I think
Can I put my name in for one please when you get stock in..
Good, but why not a nice enclosure?
Could 3D print a 2 piece case easy enough

Mine doesn't work. Tried to update the firmware and the chip is detected but won't load
So the board doesn't work - or the firmware update doesn't work?
github.com/skuep/AIOC?tab=readme-ov-file#firmware-updating
the firmware update doesn't work.
The program says that the device is
found, but can't update. I have the link in place
@@HamRadioDX
@@HamRadioDX the firmware won't load. The software detects the board correctly, but fails the loading.
I have tried under windows 10 and linux. Same error and I do have the link in.
Are you doing another order soon and I'll order one already programmed?
@@bikeham I do have another order coming soon. Are there any LEDs when you power up the board? Programming link is definitely making contact?
@@HamRadioDX I can't recall about the LEDs, but I soldered the link in as a last resort.
Still Waiting on mine :(
Did you order one through me? You should've received a tracking number and updates. All the orders have been sent.
1 for me vk4
At the moment there are no Gerber files on GIT 🤥
They should be there, under Kisha’s folder
Hi everyone. I'm new to the radio almost. Lol. But can yall tell me where I can get license for radio station frequency . 1000w fm am transmitter
How can it be the only cable I'll ever need if it doesn't have pogo pins?
All sold out 😭
More stock coming soon
Unfortunately I wasted 7 min and 30 sec of my time watching this vid.
That’s a bit unlucky.
Well that’s because it’s not the only cable I’ll ever need as your title says. Everyone knows it’s not true and not reality at this moment. I’m sure you know that too. I’ve watched many of your vids. Nothing to do with luck.
@@ronswanson9004 No worries champ
are you going to get another batch? dang the first lot sold quick :)
Yeah mate - working on getting more
3 usa kd7tww
Love it! when you think USA will have a Stab at it? kd7tww
Working on a supplier
This might be cool with the uvk5 dock software. 🎉
Yep it works with that 👍
Can I put my name in for one please when you get stock in..
