I lost my father when I was young. To hear ash's father apologize for the lost time and for how many times he might've needed him, it gave me a little more closure. I just want to thank you for making a beautiful video

I agree, I was young as well when I lost my father, due to health I did not spend much time with him that I could remember, seeing this made me cry because I wish that happens to everyone that lost someone to hear their voice again. I don't have much to remember my father by, but I try to use any skill that I got from him.
We DEFINITELY need a part 2 and more pokemon stories overall. I love the creative liberty taken with this, made it so much more authentic. Absolutely incredible job Rising Fist and team, can't wait for 2023!!! 🐐🐐🐐🐐

Initial reaction to the thumbnail:
So Ash' father is Red in this what if scenario. I guess that makes sense. Though personally I think Ash' true father to be Giovanni since they both come from the same town, Giovanni would be the right age to be his father, he seems to have a personal connection or interest in Ash and his Pikachu and how they have similar modes of engagement in fights.
But I guess we'll see when the video starts.
(Edit) After the video:
Well I was wrong. Kinda. Sato is Ash’s father. Having been killed then absorbed into Ho-Oh and was linked to him watching Ash throughout his journey was an amazing touch. Giovanni being vengeful due to the loss of his friend and seeing Pokémon as nothing but mindless beasts helps iron out his motives throughout the series. A good villain is one that’s been wronged in their past, this delivers.
As for the rest, just great overall. Voice actors, illustration artists, sound design etc all played a fantastic part in bringing this video together. Having been in production for 3 months, it’s no wonder why it’s such top quality. But then again, Rising Fist’s content is never lacking in any aspect.
Great video, great story and a great sendoff for 2022.

Seriously, this is the direction the anime could go if it continued with ash. Great job, I’ve been pretty emotional watching the anime lately because Ash’s time is suppose my coming to an end. This had everything and definitely built on that nostalgia while also breaching subjects we as fans would love to know.
I followed Ash and Pikachu’s journey as far I can remember. This Story of his Father you’ve created has brought me to tears cause I wasn’t expecting it. and it was original. I find it wholesome that his Father’s name is Sato since Ash’s JP name is Satoshi, I wonder if it’s the reverse if this was dubbed in JP.. His design is also very similar how Goku to his Father Bardock was as well. I kinda wish there was a Rapidash in his team to callback on that flashback memory in the anime. Thanks for this amazing story. Ash’s journey may be over, but I won’t ever forget all the years I watched the series with him. Also including Team Rocket was a nice touch cause they were my favorite Trio!
I have to say, this is definitely my favorite one by far. I felt every moment in this and with Ash finally retiring from the anime its a really good send off. Keep up the awesome work and I cant wait to see what you have in store next!

If ash and oikachu left the anime to be a legend seeker like his father, in of a way to bring him back, that would be brilliantly written. No matter how his on screen journey turns out, I'm sure he'd still be exploring the world. Kudos for such a lovely story, art, and voice acting!

This was actually well made and a good story. My criticism is that I find Ho-oh's rage a littal had to believe when it first appeared and started attacking and ultimately killing Ash's dad but you where able to make it more believable and made it work well in to the story by the end. so really great job. Hopefully if you make more of these we can see some of Ash's older Pokemon return maybe even get primape back. Keep up the good work
Thank you for making this. I wish the Pokemon Company had the balls to give us an epilouge with adult Ash tying his loose ends such as this (his father) before they move on from him, but no they can't have adult protagonists, not even for a short special 🥺

FINALLY! The Ash we all grew up with has finally grown up with us! Perfect physique, fashion and voice. I don't think it gets any better than that!
EDIT: Now that I think about it, Ho-Oh's human voice is perfect for it! Just like Lugia in Pokemon 2000!
This is a pretty interesting way to incorporate Ash's father into a story. Also gives a reason as to why Ash saw Ho-oh

I wouldn't mind more diverse content. This timeline is pretty interesting. Seeing the rest of Ash team, how he got Mega Evo for Charizard, if he keep's his father's Pokémon/what to do with them (I imagine they'd feel partially responsible for Ash, being his dad's Pokémon), and other such things.
Though I imagine this channel will remain most known for Dragon ball content.
I do hope to diversify greatly next year. I’ll try to keep the Dragon Ball folks happy while venturing into other things.
Two things the fact that Ho-oh was Ash's father all along would make the most perfect plotwist of all, the pokemon that watched over him all these years was really his father
Also when Ash responds to Misty's question it would've been funny if Ash said "yeah i got to see May recently apparently she and Drew started dating", Misty acts relaxed but then Ash continues "as for Serena we officially went on our first date and i gotta tell you it was magical", when Ash leaves Misty becomes broken inside

Can we please get a part 2? I really want to see the ending to this tale of the Pokéverse! And it’s so amazing to see how deep Giovanni was developed, it makes me wish this was canon!! And it’s amazing that (if I’m correct) Sato is named after Satoshi which is Ash’s Japanese name and I think the name of someone from GameFreak (I forgot already 😭😭😭)

I know this is late, but I don’t care. I actually love this video, because Pokémon is one of my favorite animes. But unfortunately we all heard the news about Ash and Pikachu being replaced. Thank you for working on this video!
What I’d liked about it:
- The 25 year timeskip when ash finally grows up into an adult (even though he looks like a young adult) at the beginning of the video.
- The Pokémon battle between him and Lance was amazing, especially Dragonite mega evolving into a Dragon and Fairy Type. But it makes sense Charizard had the upper hand due to his training all those years.
- Giovanni and Sato were best friends back then before his downfall…may he rest in piece😔
- Sato’s Pokémon Team which includes a legendary Pokémon Latios and a Shiny Charizard.
Funny Moments:
- Brock mentioning the other girls Ash used to travel with (May & Serena) to Misty to get her jealous
- Ash brought up to him being used to being burned due to Charizard in the past
Favorite Moments:
- Ash asking Misty out on a Lunch date (which shows how much he’s changed over the years)
- Ash using Charizard & Gengar in battle. I wonder if his other Pokémon are part of the arsenal as well? (Greninja, Lucario, or maybe Sceptile?)
-Former Team Rocket rooting for Ash the second time. It makes me wonder what’s going on with lives now, are Jessie and James married or have they gone separated to their new lives.

As a massive Pokémon fan, and fan of yours from other stories you’ve told, this story is a work of beauty and couldn’t have been told any better, thank you for such a dedicated story

He doesn't deserve to end like we have in the anime the anime really fuk us up we need ash grew up and see his dad
This fits well with the announcement of Ash's final arc in Pokémon before they'll retire him as the mc. Would be nice if he does get a timeskip where he grows up, meets his father and settled down with Misty.

Just a feeling, it's similar to what I felt with Ichigo Kurosaki & Orihime Inoue, years before the last chapter of Bleach showed they did end up together…

Suppose I am a HUGE, dumb sucker for childhood friend-based relationships. At least to me, Serena “clicks” more than Misty as girlfriend/lover/wife material for Ash. Again, that's the vibe I'm getting, and I can't explain why…
I hope it does come to that conclusion, and a will be a little hurt if it doesn't, but I'm prepared for the worst, even the possibility that Ash stays fracking single til his grave…
There's even the possibility that Ash ends up with someone we never met…

That was absolutely a masterwork. Though I will say, Ash can have his father revived in time back for dinner that same day…all these favors he got with legendary Pokémon “Arceus you can pay me that favor back now”. Ash definitely got options.

Third time watching this video! I'm just blown away by how awesome this came out! Story is beautiful, and all of the voice actors did a phenomenal job! Thinking about the fact that Ash's father had been watching him through Ho-Oh since the beginning gives me goosebumps. It's truly beautiful. Despite the fact that this story is fan made, it legitimately makes me want to revisit the material. And since Ash's story is soon coming to a close in the anime, I think it is the perfect time to do just that!

I can think of a number of ways to bring him back actually. Some Theoretical.
Celebi can save Sato before he is obliterated (Brought Professor Oak as a kid to the future), and Dialga could rewind his body being destroyed (Seen as it put Giratina in a Time Loop). Ash Knows both of them from a few movies.
Palkia could recreate his body (Able to manipulate space and matter) and Ho-Oh place the spirit back, and Arceus could just snap him back to reality (Literally fucking God). Jirachi could Wish his father back if they can manage to awaken him again (They tends to get rid of the Problems).
While yes its all legendaries and mythicals, they are given that name for a reason. Ash luckily has met them all, and I bet they would be more than willing to help an old friend.
All wonderful theories. So much material to pick from if we make a sequel to this.

i wrote a whole paragrath about how other theories would be but decided to delete that first part non the less i loved every bit of this well done great video great story. i dont know what answers i truly want from the final episodes but for things to be completely different to how people are currently expecting with theorys i like the choice you made i wouldnt be mad at this as a final episode tbh it even got me abit emotional haha. Great work keep it up!! i honestly hope if the new series after ashs finally will move on to his daughter maybe then with the odd cameo each season of older ash maybe giving his daughter advise and things.

I never thought Giovanni would have a history with Ash's father, no to mention to find out how he died and that Ho-Oh was responsible though it was blinded by rage and it did keep his soul intact.
Great to see Ash, his friends and old enemies grown up. Looks like Ash is definitely interested in Misty, which is good, they are a cute ship.
Ash meeting his father after this time was a sweet tearful reunion but is also bittersweet at the end, but hey Ash did say he will find a way to bring his father, so his journey to be a Pokemon Master has ended and now he's got a new journey, find a way to bring his father back to life and bring him home. This was a great story, I will never forget.
