- Rob may not have been the first builder to put a rotary engine in a Corvette; that honour goes to Chevrolet itself in the late 1960s. But he’s finally got his two-rotor-swapped Corvette dialled in, and he can’t wait to show off the build, and take it to a track in the California desert - where it belongs.

One of my favorite parts of the rotary Vette is Isaiah's insanely clean pipe routing to the intercooler! It just flows so nicely!

While I love a good 1hr Rob Damn technical video, I'm glad Top Gear has edited him down and made his passion and personality presentable to the casual car enthusiast. There's probably about a million of us that will watch the occasional TG video but EVERY episode of American Tuned. Keep it up!

The rotary Corvette is why I started following Rob a couple of years ago. The anti-LS-swap thing is just such a pleasing breath of fresh air! He's doing the lord's work.

I really like that Rob says at one point ‘the car that Isaiah and I built.’ It was Robs vision but he acknowledges that Fab daddy was a huge part.
Very cool to see the exact opposite of what everyone else is doing. This is cooler than any LS swapped RX7.

Love this. Instead of a FC or FD RX-7 having its rotary soul removed in place of an LS, we have a C5 where the push rod LS has been removed in favor of the 13b. Brap.

that track looked suuper bumpy, but love the effort Rob has put in to revive rotaries.
Those stock corvette seats are absolutely horrible. That's why he is being jostled around so much.
A focused Rob is just as entertaining as a sleep deprived and rambling Rob.
I love how casually he mentions that his 2-rotor has 1000 horsepower. What a flex... 😁😇🤟
But yeah, it's weird seeing Rob driving without his laptop. Just driving his contraption without constantly worrying must have felt good for him... 😎👍
He mentions that the fuel system is good for 1000 hp, not that the car has it. Still quick enough with around 500-600 hp.

Nah, needs to be the OG aka Leroy. Mullet is nice and fast but Leroy is the origin story and the coolest and in a sense craziest in the fleet.

The exhaust is a literal flamethrower because from knowledge from the new rotary technology Mazda admits now that this older rotary technology had a lot of fuel blowout the exhaust even though they never actually admitted that years ago. Go look at the new rotary-generator tech and they explain what I am talking about.

I don't know how long you have had this, but if it's not been a while I'd be curious to know if.its my old 02' Z06 I sold back in September. I miss it.
Great car. I daily an RX8 and it ate my cat and spit it out the exhaust they generate so much heat. I drove it a little with no exhaust and it was insane.
Don't replace the burnt out front corner marker light. Need that amperage for the fuel pumps.
Lol not one person ever took a ls6 out of a Z06 and put it in a FD. But yes ls series engines have been put into the FD.
