That’s always been as funny as “OOOO! I’m coming, Harry!” and “Come along, Cedric!” This particular trap could have been in the Super Nintendo game I mention in the comments of my video Video Games Do Furnish a Hobby.
What I love the most about this trap is that it was one of the most obvious and Marv knowing it was a trap tried to set it off carefully and have an opportunity to get out of the way, but when nothing happened he began to think it wasn’t a trap and tried to climb the rope thereby falling straight into the trap
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the camera work that makes it so much more funny. First you have the shot of the cement being pulled through the hole, from below. Then it cuts to the scene where he's stood in confusion as the rope falls down around him. He then looks up, and we get to see Marv's persepctive of the bag coming towards him. And to finalize, we get the cement's point of view, coasting down to Marv, as he delivers the classic line while standing still and staring up. Just brilliant work.
@@chloe-stephlis6281 The way it's framed, yes, but in reality, he'd have one, one and a half seconds tops, and since he's caught off guard, , he'd barely have time to look up before getting hit in the head.
When everybody talks about Marv's superhuman durability, They always talk about how he took 4 bricks to the head. But imo, this is the most impressive display of his durability. At least with the bricks he sold the pain of the bricks connecting with his head. Rolling on the ground howling in pain, barely able to form words. Took him a while to get up. When Marv got hit by that 100lb bag of cement. He completely tanked the impact of that thing, when it should have snapped his neck like a twig. Then a mere 5 seconds later sits up like he took next to no damage. And able to speak clearly expressing only minor annoyance. Marv: I'm going to murder that kid Me: If you were real Marv and we kept track of all the traps you fell into up to now, Kevin would have murdered you 10 times over by now.
The way he thinks he will get up the rope just by tugging the rope little by little and then when he sees the plaster coming down and him saying “ uh-oh! “ is so funny
@@dennisdrozdov1424 Similar Trap but there are a couple of differences. Similarities: Pretty much the same Idea; Marv pulls on something which sends an object to hit him in the Face. Differences: Obviously Different item, House and City. But also the Bag of Cement is more likely to kill Marv then the Iron in Home Alone 1. Lastly my favorite difference, in the first one Marv just stares at the Iron. Here he stares at it but also delivers a Hilarious Classic Line at 0:53.
