Anyone remember the Barber at the far end of the arcade left hand side 1955 ?? The cinema first one I visited, my school was just down the road, Collegiate. I used to walk to school ( 6 years old ) from the west cliff every day. Safe in those days.
3:41 The road opposite is called Robert Louis Stevenson Avenue after the famous author. Whilst living in Westbourne he wrote the novels Treasure Island, Kidnapped and The Strange Case Of Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde.
And at 7:32 on the right you will see Delish Cafe where 2 pilot episodes of “The Coffee Place” starring myself as Chris De Clare. A new sitcom series shot and sent to BBC, iTV, Channel 4, Channel 5 & Sky. Each of which turned it down. If only we had a Channel 6. 🙃
They’re there. I wasn’t commenting on yours as an act of self promotion. I wouldn’t be very British if I didn’t take the Mickey out of myself. Still, if Britain gets a channel 6 I may move back.
Nice walk down The Avenue to the beach or you can go down the side of the Iceland store and walk down through the gardens to bring you out at Bournemouth pier.
Please slow down a bit and show the shop fronts. We hardly were shown any. I have enjoyed your blogs but please show us places as you are passing. Thank you
For an Affluent area it's a bit charmless. If it were in London there would be period lamp posts, trees and masses of planters full of phormium and olive bushes especially outside the cafès. Me thinks it's not particularly attractive especially with an Iceland advertising £1 deals.....
I live here and yes it's great. You didn't point out any coffee shops or the more unusual shops which you acknowledged in the introduction written below. You didn't point out the M and S food hall which visitors would find useful. The buses go to so many interesting places, I really couldn't make out the purpose of this video.
Thanks for sharing the beauty of your city 💫✨ great sharing as always 😊
Hi. Great video. A few years ago I was walking along these streets.

Nice walk down The Avenue to the beach or you can go down the side of the Iceland store and walk down through the gardens to bring you out at Bournemouth pier.
Thanks for the tips!
Plenty of weeds growing along the street.....Such charm

I lived there for half a year and it's beautiful everyone's super friendly no police or hassle what's so ever very wealthy area and I never got racism
The arcade has lost its character and charm. Used to have lots of unique shops, including record and book shops

Thanks for watching, I plan on coming back here to take another look around. I have taken onboard your points. Many thanks 😀
