- Who needs eyes when you can have spikes. Who needs anything at all when you can have spikes. Instead of giving this creature a good way to maintain itself I figured it would work better if it had to rely on eating other creatures to survive. That's really the only chance it has and it needs to be quick about it. At one point I think I managed to defeat basically all the other species.

Hey there! One of the devs here! Your proteins/flagella are duplicating because your cell is going through mitosis. Also the vent has basically no sunlight so thylakoids aren't as useful there. This is awesome. Thanks so much :)

Nice video. Pro tip if you ever play again: for tylacoids to produce glucose you need to move to an area with sunlight. You can check resources of each area by clicking them in the second screen when evolving that way you can evolve accordingly.

I wonder when DF notices that his green Glucose producers require light to function. The thing that appears to be at 0% most of the time.
DF, a nucleus is basically like the most important part of a cell.
What the nucleus does, is holding the dna string inside of a form of "shell".
So what you did, is basically putting your heart (or brain for that matter) outside of your body.
THIS GAME IS OPEN SOURCE AND FREE TO JUST DOWNLOAD WTF
Creates a wretched creature to harm others.
Ends up getting harmed by said creature in revenge to it's existence.

The game is very scientific, but the descriptions of the parts are pretty good at explaining what they do. One thing it doesn't explain really well though is that even if you have things to produce glucose you still need separate parts to metabolize it. That gets a lot of people killed because they keep producing glucose but they don't convert it to energy at all.
I love how he went from making informational stardew valley videos to torturing living things.

A couple of tips
1. As you get closer to cell division your Organelles (body parts) will duplicate to prepare for cell division hence why you kept gaining and losing body parts.
2. if you attempt to move withour enougth ATP you will take damage. however if you still have glucose you can create more ATP while standing still to avoid losing health.
combined with the fact that the AI plays as previous versions of your cell and don't stop moving this means that if you create a cell that uses more ATP than it generates and use standing still to regain ATP AI controlled cells will litteraly just kill themselves for you (which is both an extremely easy win and very on brand).
Disclaimer: I haven't played in a while so the later glitch may have been patched

and when he first kills something, and tries absorbing it, he just pushes it around with the SPIKE, instead of moving sideways or backwards into the absorbable stuff, XD!

So the reason he doubles is because when these things split in this game he evolves. He probably has to get enough resources for a second one of him then split. That’s also why there’s two of him after he evolves.
I was watching this in science class and I didn't understand some parts than like near the end of the class IT ALL MADE SENSE
The secret, if I'm understanding correctly, is to grow a bunch of useful bits in the most useless places possible and ram into the most dangerous parts of things with your bald spot.

I feel obliged to say, that the Mitochondria is the Powerhouse of the Cell.
I want this game to get more popularity it's a very good evolution game and some people are calling it something like a more realistic and in depth version of spore. But I bet this will be alot better in a few years(as I hear their dev team is a bit small)

0:37 yes atp is pretty much just energy edit: ATP is glucose packed into something and ATP is allso very eazy to break down when glucose is not and bearly gives us energy so ATP is the winner here
