Ever since Terraria 1.4 came out I knew I wanted to remix this theme. Definitely one of my favorite new additions to the OST and of course the boss itself is amazing (especially a fun fight on master mode) ;)
Anyways hope you all enjoy this one, it was pretty fun to make and I'm happy with how it turned out. It was cool to use the themes from the original soundtrack and put my own twist on them.

Empress of Light's theme is very different from the other boss themes, because it really drives home a certain aspect: sheer unfiltered anger. With the other boss themes it's just "you summoned this thing to kill it" and that's basically it (except with moon lord, his theme is just "You're Screwed: Instrumental"). With Empress of Light, the theme just slaps you in the face, grabs you and says "You didn't summon this thing, you just pissed it off"

@@brunovitela4650 Yes, the night ends at 4:30, however, Prismatic Lacewings stop spawning at midnight, so from 12am to 4:30am you can't find them.

For some reason, She and the Princess NPC has a lot in common.
1. Hair. Why is Hair important? They both have pink hair.
2. Royalty. They both have obvious names and looks.
3. Caring. Why would EoL care for anyone? She cares about the near extinct Prismatic Lacewings. The Princess cares about NPCs.
4. Powers. They both have the power of light emitted from hands when attacking.

EOL seems to have a weird theory. Is she the Moon Lord's Daughter... caring for near extinct Prismatic Lacewings? Replace dying as retreating, then has she destroyed his waist? To be fair, The Moon Lord's legs are going to be more powerful anyways. I had thought while commenting, a fanstory of the EOL having her divorcive argument against the Moon Lord over his intent of destruction. She makes her projectiles predictable making her a better boss than moonlord imo, they might look intimidating but once you know how they work then they're pretty easy to dodge as long as you don't get too overwhelmed.

And funnily enough, the hallow is known as impurity because it is required to be cleared to have complete purified status when talking to dryad.

The way she literally one shots you at day light and fighting her is crazy af but it's the most satisfying fight in all of the bosses.

@@Thumb_ I'm actually a bit masochistic when we speak about the difficulty. I was going through calamity with my friend, but he wasn't playing often enough. So I decided to go solo, on even harder difficulty. Now I'm playing in Malice Anger Death difficulty (no hit). I've already been able to go quite far, but I haven't used the additional difficulty increasers (like steel heart). It's a matter of time when I will complete it.
By the way, I'm a touhou player, maybe that's from where my love for hardcore comes from.

Excellent fight, never did I feel the fight was hopeless and beyond me, but every death pushed me to go further, try again, and again, over and over till I was able to beat her, once and for all.
Ofcourse, I still retrigger the fight once I did get the Terraprisma by accidently killing another Prismatic Lacewing. Except Terraprisma shredded her, and I knew all her patterns by then.
what did you use? it only took me ten tries because sanguine staff is op. kaleidoscope dealt good dps too
@Dosh Yeah, 24/7 fights, nighttime for Kaleidoscope/Soaring Insignia/Empress Wings and the daytime for Terraprisma. I beat her 3 times at night, then one time at day.

The most intense boss fight I've ever witnessed. My first encounter was abrupt and thought this boss was walk in the park , but I was highly mistaken, thus adrenaline kicked in and had no choice but to fight seriously.

@@arandominternetman5032 Chlorophyte bullets have a lock on to nearest target feature which can cause a hell that you most likely won't survive. This reason is why people that use ranger need to practice aiming.
